Navy

Quinton, Henry, and Harper introduced us to their pack and told the members about our offer. Everyone was ecstatic, especially the remaining members and descendants from Velvet Moon. They immediately started packing. The Marshalls would come back with us and the rest of the pack would follow behind soon. We were eager to get back and reintroduce Cordelia to her family.

We left some of the wolves that Dover brought along to look out for the pack and help them find their way back to Blue Moon. Dover came back with us, of course, Knox couldn’t leave me without my guard dog. We all drove back to Blue Moon together. Once we were back inside the pack’s territory, I could see the shift in Quinton’s mood. He was over the moon with excitement.

“Come on, let’s go to the beach.” I was too giddy with my excitement to wait any longer.

“Can I ask you something, Navy?” Quinton said as we walked through the packhouse to the back door.

“Sure.” I smiled, letting my mates walk ahead of us so we could have some privacy.

“How do you find the balance between a wolf and siren mate?” He asked. I laughed,

“I haven’t, they did. I was completely against it. I ran away from Cameron when I met Knox and built a bond with my Alpha mate. I let him mark me. Then, Cameron came to the surface to fight for me. Knox accepted Cameron before I did.” S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Let me guess, you overthink everything and won’t let anyone tell you what to do.” Quinton winked at me,

“Absolutely. Just like my grandmother.”

“Did she have any other children besides your father?” Quinton asked.

“No, just him.” I shook my head.

“Knox called you a princess?” He said.

“Her siren mate was the king.” I said.

“You guys ready?” Cameron pulled my attention away from Quinton and we joined the others.

“I am.” I looked at Quinton, Harper, and Henry who all nodded with nervous expressions. I pulled out the shellphone and thought about my grandmother before blowing on it.

“Now we wait.”

“That’s a literal shellphone.” Harper laughed.

“We’ll go and give you guys some space.” Knox said, kissing my temple.

“No way, you guys are staying.” I argued, grabbing both their hands and pulling them to my sides.

“It’s okay, angel.” Cameron kissed my cheek.

“You guys are family too, I want you to stay.” I said.

“If that’s what you want, baby.” Knox nodded.

“You three are actually really adorable.” Harper smiled at us.

“You sound surprised?” I laughed.

“I wasn’t sure how having two mates worked.” She said.

“You haven’t found your mates yet?” I asked the siblings.

“No, we’re rogues.” Henry replied.

“That means you can’t have mates?” I wondered.

“Yes.” Henry nodded.

“That’s not fair.”

“Yeah, but it won’t matter anymore. You all have a pack now.” Knox said, resting his hand on my back,

“I’m sure you’ll both find someone.”

“I hope so.” Harper smiled, looking at us with admiration. I heard my grandmother’s song fill the air and I turned towards the ocean, stepping away from the ground.

Cordelia ascended from the water and smiled at me. She didn’t look around me, instead she just focused on my face.

“Hi dear.” Coredelia smiled, giving me a tight hug.

“Hi, grandma,” I kissed her cheek,

“I have to tell you something.” I said sheepishly. Grandma sighed and pulled away, smirking at me,

“You didn’t listen to me and you looked into my past anyway.”

“Exactly.”

“Of course you did, you’re my granddaughter. Navy, don’t be disappointed if you didn’t find anything.” She sighed. I laughed at her,

“I found everything, grandma.” I stepped to the side and motioned towards the group behind me. Cordelia looked around for the first time. Quinton stepped forward,

“Cordelia.” He said breathlessly. My grandmother’s eyes grew huge as a blush crept across her face. She stumbled forward,

“This isn’t real.” She whispered.

“My Luna.” Quinton smiled, meeting her in the middle of the beach.

He grabbed her arms and their bond sparked to life. A mark that had been invisible on my grandmother’s neck for decades suddenly glowed to life. The same happened for Quinton. I didn’t even know marks could do that.

“Quinton? Is it really you?”

“It’s me, my Luna.” He cupped her face lovingly.

Henry and Harper stumbled forward in awe, catching Cordelia’s attention. She gawked at them openly. Quinton wrapped his arm around Cordelia’s waist and stepped to her side.

“These are our children, darling.” He smiled.

“Harper? Henry?” My grandmother gasped.

“Mom?” Harper was crying and Henry was frozen.

“Mom.” Henry mumbled. Cordelia started to sob and she opened her arms. Harper and Henry ran into them and the family hugged for the first time.

“I can’t believe you are all here, alive.” Cordelia cried.

“How is this possible?” The group pulled away, but Cordelia wouldn’t let go of her children’s hand and Quinton wouldn’t let go of Cordelia’s waist.

“Your granddaughter is as stubborn as you.” Quinton chuckled. Cordelia looked back at me and smiled,

“Don’t I know it.”

“I took the surviving pack members and created a pack of strays about an hour from here. Navy found us and brought us home.” He explained.

“But, I don’t understand, why did you have to leave in the first place?” Cordelia asked.

“It doesn’t matter, my darling.” Quinton said soothingly.

“It does matter, Quin.” Cordelia leveled Quinton with the same glare that I’ve used on my mates a million times.

“Fine….” Quinton chuckled and explained everything to her.

After Cordelia was up to date on what happened to Velvet Moon and what Knox had offered Quinton and his strays, we all went inside the packhouse for dinner.

It was very late and the packhouse was quiet and still. We called ahead on our way back to the packhouse and asked Romino to prepare a late night dinner for the group. He had gone out of his way preparing us way more than food then we needed. Mandy and Betty were also still awake and preparing the table.

“That’s not necessary, ladies. We can handle ourselves, go ahead to bed.” I smiled at the staff. Mandy and Betty smiled back,

“Thank you Luna, Alpha. Goodnight.” They scurried away.

“You have a very gracious Luna, Alpha Knox.” Quinton smiled at me and Knox nodded,

“We both do.” He said, knocking his shoulder against Cameron.

“How did this happen, anyway?” Cordelia eyed us.

“Cameron wouldn’t take no for an answer.” I laughed, sitting between my two mates at the table. Like always, Knox was at the head of the table and I was to his left. Cameron was on the other side of me.

“So, the three of you are mates now?” My grandma asked. Cameron and Knox both looked at me and I sighed,

“Yes, we are. It’s a work in progress.”

“Density really is a funny thing, isn’t it?” Quinton chuckled, taking my grandma’s hand.

“The Moon Goddess is a smart young woman.” She agreed.

“So you’re really going to bring back Velvet Moon?” Cordelia asked Quinton.

“No, our children are.” Quinton said, looking at Henry and Harper.

“What?” Henry asked.

“It’s time for me to step down. Actually, it’s long past my time. You and your sister are more than capable of taking this on.” Quinton said.

“Both of us? But, Henry is the Alpha.” Harper said, eyeing her brother.

“That was my idea, actually.” Henry said,

“I told Dad that I wanted us to both take over the pack when it was time. We work better together.” Henry shrugged.

“Really?” Harper seemed shocked.

“Obviously.” Henry laughed.

“I’m so proud of both of you. You’ve grown up to be so strong and kind.” Cordelia smiled at her children.

“Will you stay here, Mom?” Harper asked. Cordelia looked over at Quinton,

“I’d like you to stay and be my Luna again, if you want to, darling.”

“Grandma?” I pulled Cordelia’s attention towards me,

“You should stay.” I said.

“Of course I’ll stay.” She smiled and the entire room cheered.

“Tomorrow I’ll let my Beta know the plan and we can scout out some potential acreage for you. My Beta, my brother Clay, knows a lot more about the geography of the pack’s territory than I do.” Knox said.

“So, the rumors are true?” An unwelcomed voice entered the dining hall.
