Chapter No 11 Bosom buddy

She does not want to go but Gena had already set her up. “I will get you Gena,” she thought, annoyed while standing in front of Mirror.

It was the first time she was going with someone other than Jacob. She was so confused. She opened her closet to look at what she should wear.

When her door knocked “Come in” she said. She turned to look at Viviana. She never had come to her room like that before so she was a bit of a surprise.

“Can we talk for a while?” She asked, Althea smiled, and nodded. She walked towards her bed and sat. Althea walks slowly towards the bed, sits beside her.

“What is it?” Althea asked because Viviana was looking sad.

“Me and Collin had a fight,” she said sadly.

“What how? You guys have never had a fight before” she said, shocked.

“He made a friend and I saw him sitting with her in the garden” she said with tears in her eyes.

“Who?” Althea asked.

“Marry,” she said sadly.

“Omega’s daughter?” She asked and Viviana nodded.

“So what? They are friends like you and Collin, you can also make new friends, in fact it’s good to make a big circle” Althea said smiling.

“But he is my best friend Althea. I don’t want to share with him,” she said angrily.

“Jacob is my best friend too and now he has another friend and I am happy with it because I respect his choices, true friendship means to respect your friend’s boundaries, so you should do too” said Althea while winking at her.

“Did Jacob have changed with you?” She asked innocently.

“Nope not a bit, he is still old Jacob to me” she said smiling.

“You never felt jealous?” She asked.

“Nope, never, he is still my best friend, the thing is we have to see a bigger and brighter side of the picture” she said smiling.

“Now you should stop crying, you are a big girl and intelligent too” she said, patting her head. Viviana smiled.

Viviana looked around and asked “What were you doing?”

Althea took a deep breath and said “I have to see someone in the evening and I was deciding what to wear”.

“Oh I can help you,” Viviana said, smiling.

They both walked towards the closet and Althea opened it “Whoa you have a lot of collections why don’t you go to school fashionable” asked Viviana happily.

“Naa, that’s not the sort of my kind” Althea shrugged.

“Hmm let me check what you can wear,” Viviana said, smiling. After a minute she gave her a pair of clothes. Althea went inside the bathroom to get change when she came back she was disappointed.

“Pink? Like seriously Viviana you paired all of my pink clothes together” she said while looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a shocking pink skirt with a Baby pink T shirt written Hello kitty on it.

“But it’s cute,” said Viviana happily.

“Yeah, cute enough to go to the playground,” said Althea.

Her door knocked again, “Come in” she said.

It was Collin. “Althea I” he was about to say something when he saw Althea.

“Where are you going? Some weird girl’s party?” She said while looking at her up to down. She gives him a weird look.

“What is it Collin?” She asked while turning to her closet. Then Collin noticed Viviana.

“Vivi? What are you doing here?” He asked surprised.

Viviana turned away, “Vivi what have I told you?” Said Althea.

“Okay fine, I am sorry Collin I was angry at you, I should not control you like this,” she said exhausted.

Collin smiled.

“I still don’t know why you were fighting? You did not tell me” he asked.

“Well I kind of watched you in the garden with that red-haired girl and I thought she was your new friend and I was jealous” she said while looking at the floor. Collin started laughing harder.

Althea gave him a sigh while Viviana felt embarrassed.

“Well sorry, so sorry Viviana, she was not my friend, we had a project together and we were on that” he said laughing.

“What project?” Said Viviana startled.

“The Project” said Collin while crossing his arms.

“The project of Miss Hopkins? Really ? Oh no I forgot about that and how come I did not know she is your partner?” Viviana panicked.

“Well you were not in the class when our names announced you went with Jacob remembered?” He said smiling.

“Oh no I have to go, that girl who is my partner must have gone crazy. I am too dead,” she said and left the room in a rush. Collin was still laughing.

“What is it Collin? Do you want to tell me something?” Althea asked.

“No, Actually I came here to tell you that a tall guy who has green eyes has come to see you, well he is in the TV launch” he said and left the room.

Panicked, she was not ready. She checked her closet. She had bought them last year but she did not yet choose them for a day.

So today she was wearing it for the first time. After five minutes she came out of the bathroom. She wore a skin-color top with a black skirt. Her blond bangs we’re going down her knees. She grabbed her phone and the purse and got out of the room.

She came inside the Tv launch, he was sitting with her father and watching some weird show over the Tv.

Jack already knew him.

“How is Alpha Harris?” He asked him.

“Dad is fine, he is just busy with his pack duties” he shrugged.

“Hello!” Said Althea. He turned to look and for a few minutes he stopped with the time. She was looking breathtaking. He got up off the couch.

“Ah Althea honey you are here, looks like you both know each other, he is the son of Alpha Harris the fellow pack, Ellis she is my daughter” said Jack.

“I know we are classmates, in fact we are going, she is going to show me the territory” she said smiling.

“I am going to what?” Althea thought.“Hey, we are going to buy a car and he wants me to show him the territory” she thought.

“Well he is not that bad,” said Lilly. Althea rolled her eyes.

“Well that’s good our daughter is making a new friend” said Ruby who came out of the kitchen.

“Talking about friends where Jacob is, I have not seen him for ages” said Jack.

“Ah he is….” Althea was thinking about some reason when Ellis spoke.

“He is stuck in some project in school,” said Ellis. Althea gives him a sigh. They left after five minutes.

“The car shop is near, we can walk by,” she said. He smiled.

“Can I ask you something?” She asked.

“Yeah sure go on” he said in a deep voice while looking at the road ahead.

“You know what they call me?” She asked.

“They call you what?” He responded in a question, his expressions were now confused.

“The thing Julia called me the other day” she avoided using the word.

“What?” He asked again. She started staring at the road while walking.

“A rogue,” she said in a whisper.

“But you are in the pack. I don’t think you are a rogue, you are loyal to the pack aren’t you?” he asked in a very slow and deep voice. Althea looked at him in surprise.

“Does he not know the pack’s laws?” asked Lilly.

“I don’t believe in any stupid pack laws” he said, still looking at the road.

“I am here so that I can follow rules by learning them from my Alpha uncle, but trust me I don’t believe in these stupid laws, for centuries they are following these laws, no rogue can join them because they are white wolves and do not accept anyone who is not from the pack, that’s why they are bullying you because you are not white wolf” he said annoyed.

“Just because the white wolf is a direct descendent of the moon goddesses so they enforce their laws in other packs too, so that no one accepts rogue anywhere,” he said angrily.

“I have heard about it,” she said in a whisper-like voice.

“What wolf is yours?” He asked.

“I cannot shift,” she said. He suddenly turned to look at her. She was avoiding his gaze. But her expressions were painful. They were stopped in the middle of the road. It was already night. He spread his arm around her shoulder.

“It’s okay you are not odd you are just different” she smiled those were the words her father always told her. They walked ahead.

He buys a wonderful sports car for himself.

“Finally you liked the car” she said happily. They were choosing a car for two hours.

He smiled “I am always choosy for cars” he said while winking at her.

“Let’s go get in,” he said.

“No it’s okay, my home is near where I can go” she refused.

“No way you are coming with me” he said and opened the front door of the car. She smiled and sat in. He started the car. He drives very smoothly. Althea phone beeped. It was Jacob.

“Hey Althea, If you are not busy, come over to the club. It’s so much fun” he writes.

“I am with Ellis, he brought a car” she writes him back. After a few seconds Ellis’s phone started ringing.

“Okay,” He said to the other side and hung up.

“It’s Jacob he said to bring you to the club, it’s some party” he said in a deep voice.

“But I don’t like parties,” she said while looking at the road.

The memory of that day when she was almost killed by the rogues.

“What happened” he pulled over the car, because he felt her anxiety.

“Nothing, I just don’t like parties,” she said.

“Look at me,” he said with concern. She looked at him. There was fear in her eyes.

“What happened?” He asked again. She told him everything about that day.

“That’s not your fault, Did they spill the bean? Who were they?” He said.

“I did not hear anything about them from Jacob. It’s like he was hiding something and for Tyler we don’t talk“ she said while avoiding his eyes.

“I will go and investigate them,” he said with a deep voice. Althea looked at him.

“Now let’s go to the party and trust me this time I have you, you are saved” he said smiling and she smiled back.

Jacob was right, the party was so much fun. Everyone was dancing and then she saw Tyler with a recent girlfriend. She felt her heart strangely beating. She looked at the place where he was standing with her. But he did not notice her.

“Want to have some drinks?” Asked Ellis. She smiled and said aloud, because the music was too much loud

“No, I am not 18 yet” he smiled in return.

“I will grab a juice for you,” he said to the bartender. “Hey Althea” called out to Jacob who was standing with Gena.

Gena was giving her a mischievous smile. She walked towards them.

“How is it going? Hot?” Said Gena while looking at Ellis’s back.

“It’s not like that,” she said while rolling her eyes.

“Yeah, I just went with Althea and I bought it,” he said smiling.

“Hey that’s my favorite song, let’s dance” said Gena. They went on the floor and started dancing.

At first I was afraid, I was petrified

She was dancing with him. They all were dancing with a lot of people. Suddenly she felt someone was staring at her. She looked around while dancing. Much to her horror Tyler was looking at her.

Her girlfriend was buying a drink. There was something in his eyes that made her stop but it was usual poker face. When her girlfriend bought a drink he turned to her and they both left.

After dancing for a few minutes she felt she needed to go to the washroom. She excused and left. She walked to the women’s bathroom when she heard voices from the nearby bathroom.

“We will grab the Canis lupus and shoot her with wolfsbane, right over there” said a sinister like voice. She felt her heart drop.

“But she is under upcoming Alpha’s protection, last time remember he beat and captured our members; I wonder why River-stone’s Alpha wants to protect a rogue? They are so against the rogues” said the other voice which was a bit deep.

“It’s because the girl is Beta’s adopted daughter. How pathetic and I am sure they might know who she is,” said the sinister voice.

“You have to do it tonight, finish her off, she is in the way of our plans if she will gain her full powers,” said the second deep voice. She felt her legs go numb.

“What should I do, where should I go?” she thought.
