Chapter No 30 Mysterious to me

She opened her eyes widely; a pair of blue eyes were staring into her eyes furiously. She recognized those eyes. He slowly put his hand down. She felt something wet over her hand when she touched her mouth. In the dim fridge light, she looked closely. It was blood making her startled. She looked at him his head and nose were bleeding.

She got up because of the heavy knock on her room. She got up in a rush, her heart was beating horribly. The door knock brought a lot of bad memories. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. She slowly got up and opened the door. It was Carmen.

“Carmen?” She whispered.

“We are going to the beach, hurry up, and get ready,” she said in a rush.

“Beach? But I have never been on a beach” she said awkwardly.

“Oh come, it would be fun,” said Carmen. She got inside the room and threw a box on the bed.

“What is this?” She asked while touching the box.

“It’s a bikini, I am wearing Purple, yours is red,” Carmen said shrugging.

“Now hurry up, get ready, boys are already gone, I was waiting for you,” she said and got out of the room.

“Whoa you are looking stunning in this Hazel,” said Carmen. The beach was so crowded. Everyone was there; even humans were there as well. Hazel has never been there before she was feeling a bit nervous. The bikini was not too short, so that’s why her scars were hidden. She walked towards the place where the boys were.

Zyair and Kai were playing woolly ball while Ryan was sitting with some blonde girl, and Eden was talking on his phone. She looked at him deeply.

There were not even scars of his injuries from last night. His wolf has healed him pretty much faster. She wanted to ask him what had happened, but she knew he would be a jerk again.

Kylian was surfing. Carmen opened her social media and was making a live video.

“Hey, Hazel, Want to join?” Asked Kai.

She smiled and ran in the direction where the ball was thrown. She grabbed it and threw it toward Zyair. She never felt this happy before.

Eden was talking on the phone, he looked at her. She was laughing whole heartily. He shifts his eyes away.

“Hey Hazel, want to surf?” Asked Kylian.

“Whoa Kylian, I never thought you would be this good Surfer,” she said happily.

“You might have thought that I am just a nerdy birdie, a book reader,” he said, smiling.

“Nope, the better I know you the better I will understand,” she said while winking at him.

“Come on, let me teach you,” he said and borrowed another surfing board for her.

“I don’t even know how to swim,” she said. “Don’t worry we will surfer near the beach” he insists.

She awkwardly accepts. She climbs up on her surfer board. Ryan was walking with his recent fling on the beach now barefoot. Carmen was busy on her social media live video.

Hazel and Kylian were surfing. She was enjoying it. The water was not so high.

“It’s fun,” she shouts.

“Told you,” he said smiling.

He swims ahead of her towards the waves. They were swimming for 20 minutes, and she felt a bit confident. She followed him towards the waves. The waves were too strong.

Kylian was professional; he managed it.

“Hazel, don’t come here you could not handle it” he screamed but she was already in between the strong waves. He was too far away. He was trying to reach her as fast as he could. She fell off the surfing board. Now she was in the water without any knowledge of swimming. The saltwater hit her throat and coughed violently.

“Help Kylian, I am drowning,” she screamed while trying to breathe.

“Hold on, I am coming” he screamed. She was drowned fully in the water.

There were no sounds, only calming ocean sounds. All she could see was an underwater world of blue, beautiful and peaceful. She felt a strange peace, a deep sleep, before closing her eyes she saw a pair of beautiful deep blue eyes. She closed her eyes, and she felt her hand grabbed by some strong hand and pulled her in the unknown direction. Later she felt the same hand over her waist and after that, she lost control of her consciousness.

He took her out of the water; she was still not waking up and was unable to breathe. He was furious. All of them were gathering around them.

“Who on the earth idiot asked her to go inside the waves?” He asked furiously.

Everyone was looking at Kylian.

“Well, I asked her not to go towards the waves,” he said sheepishly. He looked at him in a manner he was looking through his soul.

No one has seen him this furious. He was walking on the beach while talking on the phone when he heard her screaming. She was drowning when he ran towards her and swam towards her as fast as he could.

He lifted her and put her inside the car.

“You all are coming home now and no outings I will tell this to Mum,” he said angrily. They all were frowning.

“He is furious for sure,” said Ryan who just said goodbye to his fling.

She opened her eyes and found herself in the bed.

“Drink this, you feel better,” said Grace, she was holding a cup full of soup. She got up slowly and took the bowl.

“Where is everyone?” She asked.

“They are in training, you missed today,” said Grace.

“What have I been sleeping the whole day?” She asked, mortified.

“Yeah you passed out on the last day at the beach,” said Grace, smiling.

“Where is Eden?” She asked.

“He is in the field,” said Grace.

“I gotta go, I have to thank him for saving me” She got up and ran outside.

She reached the fields where everyone was training. Looking at her they all stopped. Eden gives her a deep sigh. Kylian ran towards her.

“Hazel I am sorry I put your safety in danger, I should have protected you,” he said sadly.

“Hey, it’s okay. Kylian it was all an accident I was following you, I was overconfident. Maybe this is how I learned my lesson that overconfidence is a defeat” she said without looking at Eden.

She looked at him, he was tall and muscular, and he was fighting like a trained warrior. She looked at his moves closely and remembered them in her mind.

“Are you sure you are going to do practice today?” Carmen asked, awkwardly.

“Yeah I am fine,” she said.

“So who is my opponent?” She asked.

“It’s Eden again,” said Carmen.

Eden has finished training with Zyair. She walked inside the fields while he walked confidently towards her. Without thinking she punched him, he grabbed her fist again but she quickly turned her arm freeing it, like the move she had seen while he was fighting.

He seemed a bit surprised. She quickly turned and kicked him like a trained warrior though he dodged her move; she kicked in the same way as he did before with Zyair but this time grabbed her leg, causing them both to fall to the ground.

He was on top of her while she was on the ground under him. She felt her cheeks burning. She was facing him, looking into his eyes. He moved a bit, releasing her, and got up.

“Well not bad Hazel, you almost defeated our warrior boy,” said Kai. Hazel smiled a bit. Eden gives her his hand to get up. She held it and got up.

“Ryan and Kai, it’s your turn,” he said loudly. She looked at him from the corner of her eyes. He was expressionless.

“Thanks for tomorrow,” she said in a low voice. He did not say anything like he did not hear. She felt her cheeks burning. She felt very embarrassed.

“Hey Carmen, when are we going to school?” She asked Carmen, who was standing next to her.

“The day after tomorrow Uncle Julius has arranged everything for you, you are going as Kylian’s cousin there,” she said.

“But I don’t know anything about school life. I have been homeschooled since childhood” she said, frowning.

“Don’t worry you have us” said Carmen, smiling. She looked at Eden who was now training with Kylian.

“Yeah,” She said under her breath.

“Here now they won’t recognize you,” said Carmen. She had put a purple wig on Hazel’s head.

“This look ridicules Carmen,” she said, annoyed. “But we have to hide your father’s features, Hazel; luckily it was dark back then that evening when that bitch Elena appeared,” said Carmen.

“But Carmen’s purple wig, like seriously?” she asked while looking into her eyes.

“There must be another way,” said Carmen.

“How about a Dark brown hair wig?” She asked.

“That’s something I can choose,” she said while thinking. Carmen had every kind of costume in her room. She had that kind of taste.

“You should be an actress,” said Hazel, Carmen adjusted the brown wig over her head and did some makeover, Hazel was looking like Tyler but no one can relate to her with him with the brown wig and makeover now.

“Now let me take you to Aunt Grace, she can tell,” said Carmen.

They walked towards the big hall where everyone was sitting.

“How about now?” She asked.

They looked at her from up to down. “No one can relate her to Tyler. I still can’t believe hair color can change you this much” said Wanda.

“Okay girls, remember you have to be careful and stay away from everyone from the River-stone pack,” said Grace.

“Yeah. I will Aunt Grace” said Carmen.

“Could I be able to see my dad?” Asked Hazel sadly.

Hazel was staring at the place he was standing a minute ago. She found him very mysterious. He speaks very rarely, but she knows his cousins know a lot about him. She wants to know him closely. He was a mystery to her, a very beautiful mystery. She was a bit nervous about her school life, but she was feeling relaxed now as she had something, something she was craving since childhood, a family. She felt this house like her own. She never felt this much happy and safe in her entire life. These all things were new and beautiful to her.

“No one. Let’s go we are getting late” said Kai while hiding his embarrassment.

“Wait, where is Ryan?” She asked.

“He has already gone with his new fling,” said Zyair while rolling his eyes.

“For once, my brother can’t keep it in his pants,” said Carmen.

“And Ed…Eden?” asked Hazel hesitantly.

” It’s record he never left with us, he is already gone in his brand new car,” said Kylian.

“Seems like it’s us, let’s go,” said Kai.
