The Beast Alpha Brooks:

“Listen Mutt, do not ever take over my body again and touch her again.”

“She is our mate. I want her. I will touch her when I want” says my Wolf

“Well, I do not want her, Akela, mates only make you weak, and I will not be weak."

“We will be weak if you do not accept her; you stupid human, mates make us whole and stronger. Not weak."

“Oh, shut up mutt, you have no idea what you're talking about.”

I blocked the link to my wolf and finished my breakfast.

“How was training this morning, Maverick?” I asked my head warrior and trainer.

“It was the best workout training we have ever had, Alpha.’ He answers with a smile.

“Good to hear”

“ Yes, we are having another training session at 3 pm today.” He says

I look at my gamma but say nothing. How does he know what her skills are? I thought she was in her room all morning. I stood up and excused myself. I headed up to my office. I have some Alpha work to take care of.

When 1 hit the 4th floor, I smelled her. I followed her scent down the hall to outside her bedroom door. I knock, but there no answer. I tried the handle, and it opened. When I looked in, I did not see her at first, and then my eyes fell on her outside on her balcony. But what is she doing? I slowly make my way to where she is and look at what it is she is doing. 5 is painting. She has painted a beautiful waterfall, lake, and tree scenery. I am in awe looking at it. She is very good at painting. She was so into her painting that she had not noticed I was beside her. Every time I see her, she is more beautif No, I yelled at myself” You can not accept her. I feel like Akela pushing me towards her. I am fighting to keep control. Befo I knew it, my arms were on her shoulders, and my face was on her neck. I inhale her scent. I can not help myself; she smells and tastes so good. I can feel the shock of our bond with even kiss. I pick her up out of her chair, turning her to face me. Our eyes meet. Her hazel eyes are so beautiful that I could get lost in them for years.

I carried her back into the room and slammed her into the wall, my lips smashing onto her lips. I fight for dominance; she finally allows me access, and my tongue explorers her mouth playing with her tongue. I hear a moan from her, and my mouth attacks her neck. Her arms wrap around my head. I feel her fingers in my hair. 1 can smell her arousal. As she wrap her legs around my waist, my erection is at her core. She moans again while grinding her core on my erection and I freeze removed my Lips from her neck and looked at her. What am I doing? I asked myself. I can not do this. I am being weak. Mates make me weak. This is proof.

“ Mark her, you fool,” my Wolf said.

I dropped her on the floor. She lands on her a*s and I step back.

“What the hells your problem?”

I kicked her over, so she is now on her side. Then, spit in her face before storming out.

I can not let that happen again.

“Stupid human, you spit on our mate. You kicked her. How could you?” My wolf asked.

“ She is not my mate mutt, * I said.

“ Maybe she is your mate, but she is not mine.’

“You are a damn fool” My wolf blocks me out.

I head to my office pissed off at myself and that girl for letting that happen.

PAYTON

What the hell was that all about? Talk about hot and cold. I thought he had changed his mind and wanted me. I am so stupid.

“ is wolf Akela wants us Payton” My wolf Aurora speaks.

“50 that must have been his wolf then."said

“And once he released what was happening, he stopped it”

“I need to go find Maverick. I need to blow off some steam; I think it is time for some weapons training time.”

I went and put on another black pair of skinny yoga pants and a black and red sports bra, then headed out to find Maverick.

“Concentrate, Maverick, or you are going to get hurt,” I told him.

“ Now do it again.’

Maverick and I have been sparing with swords, but he is not good with weapons at it. No one is here. Training has got to step up. I have everyone sit down and watch me do weapon work on my own so they can all try it. I had Austin's group joi us. Everyone should learn together.

“THERE ARE TIMES YOU NEED TO FIGHT AS A HUMAN. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU MAY BE UNABLE TO SHIFT INTO YOUR WOLF. AT THAT MOMENT YOU NEED TO FIGHT FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR WOLVES LIFE, SO YOU CAN PROTECT AND HEL YOUR PACK. THAT IS WHERE WEAPONS COME IN HANDY." I tell them.

“NOW STAND UP GRAB A WEAPON AND BEGIN."

I walk around watching them, only stepping in and correcting them when I need to.

Three hours later, we finished our training for the day.

“YOU ARE ALL DOING GREAT. KEEP IT UP. ENJOY YOUR DINNER AND THE REST OF YOUR NIGHT, I WILL SEE YOU ALL AT 4 AM," said to them.

“Wow, Payton, I have never seen this pack work so hard and proud,” said Maverick.

“You are a great instructor.”

“Thank you, Mav," I said.

“1 take my training very seriously. My life and the life of my pack are important to me."

“When did your pack start training you?” He asked me.

“We start at age four, I said.

“Really that young” he asked.

“You are never too young to defend yourself” I smiled.

“I like the nickname, by the way." He says to me

“nickname?” I ask

“Yes you called me Mav,” he said.

"1 like it,” he smiles.

I smiled back at him.

We were laughing as we made our way into the dining hall. I felt eyes on me, so I scanned the room. And there, sitting glaring at me and Mav, is none other than The Beast himself. He does not look happy at all. I hugged Mav and heard a growl. Mav steps away from me.

“ Enjoy the meal, Payten,” Mav says, going to his seat with the other warriors.

I walked over and took my seat next to the Beast. I leaned over and hugged Ally. I can feel his eyes still on me.

“How was your day, Ally?” I asked.

“ Great,” she answers.

“ Caleb and I went shopping, then for a run."

“Great Ally, that is awesome * I smiled and squeezed her hand.

I am so glad Caleb is not as bad as we first thought he was. Ally is happy.

“1am taking Ally to a club tonight, Payton,” said Caleb.

“There are a bunch of us going if you want to come along?”

“ Sure, count me in sounds fun, thanks, guys," 1 said.

I turn and see that The Beast is still staring at me.

“I see you have been training my pack.” He finally says something

“Yes, yes, I have, and they seem to be enjoying it and learning a lot I say

He nods and then starts eating. He did not say a word for the rest of the meal.

When dinner was over, Ally and I headed up to our rooms to get ready for the club.

I decided to wear a pair of tight slim hip-hugger jeans and a sheer black crop top over a bright pink bra. I put my butter belly ring on, then put on my black sneakers, placed my bank card in my bra, my phone in my back pocket, grabbed my keys, and headed down to meet Ally and Caleb.

As I am coming down the last flight of steps, I hear whistles. I smiled and looked up, seeing it was Austin and Mav doing t whistling.

“ Wow, Payton, your one hot goddess, * Mav says

“You guys do not look half bad yourself; I said, smiling.

Mav was looking pretty hot in his black jeans, a black mussel shirt showing off his howling wolf head tattoo on his right shoulder and a wolf skull on the other. His brown hair was combed nicely, and it looked like he trimmed his goatee neatl The mussels pressed tightly in his shirt were mouth-watering. Austin was in his blue jeans and a white T-shirt. He was stil hot, though.

“You look nice, Ally," I told her. She was wearing black jeans, a pink tank top, and her leather jacket.

“Thanks Chicky” she says.

“OK, let's head out,” says Caleb

“The others are already there."

We headed out to the garage, and I headed to my car.

“Are you not going to ride with us, Payton?” Caleb asks.

“Umm, babe, Payton, can not be a passenger.” Ally tells him.

“I will explain in the car”

“I will follow behind," 1 told them.

“ Can I ride with you, Payton?” Mav asked me.

“ sure, hop in” I said.

At ten years of age, my grandparents on my mother’s side and I were in a horrible car accident. I could not save them. Th died instantly. I swore to never be a passenger in a car again.

As I slowly started to pull out of the garage, only I stopped as a figure stood behind my car. Both Mav and I looked back o the window.

“Itis the Alpha,’ Mav says.

I rolled down my window, and I saw him walk over.

“ Where are you going, Payton?” He asks in a gruff voice.

“Umm, you were sitting there when they asked me to join them at the club tonight," I said.

“Why is Maverick in your car?” he asked.

“ He is riding with me to the club, so I was not alone.”

“What is your problem?”

“ Get out of the car now, Maverick, and go ride with Beta Caleb now *, The Alpha ordered.

Mav went to open the door,

“NO, sit back down, Mav, I told him.

“ He is riding with me, Alpha. I do not want to drive alone, so get over it. Now excuse us, we are leaving”

The Beast opens my car door, unclips my seat belt, and then pulls me out of the car.

I was just about to protest when he flipped my seat up and slid into the back seat, sitting behind me. He puts his belt on and sits there pouting. I looked at the other car and shrugged my shoulders, then flipped the seatback, got in, and pullec out, following the other car..
