Chapter 57 

Elizabeth came with her brother just now. She was not going to ask her family’s driver to pick her up. It was more convenient for her to take a taxi. 

Just as she was waiting for a cab, a car was parked in front of her. 

Elizabeth knew whose car it was. When the window was rolled down, she saw the person’s face.

Yolanda, who was sitting in Howard’s car, was in a good mood. At least at that moment, she was enjoying herself! Even though she could not read minds, she could imagine how hurt Elizabeth was.

“Why did you kiss me?”

Mary put down her phone and looked at her daughter, who had just entered the house. She frowned and muttered, “Where did you go? Why do you have to wander around out there every day? You’re always not around. Your brother has left home too. Don’t you people know what the meaning of a 

home is?” 

Elizabeth was speechless. She wondered who provoked her mother again. 

“Aren’t you going to grandpa and grandma’s house? Why didn’t you stay there for a few more days?” Elizabeth just wanted to change the subject and stop her mother from nagging. She didn’t know that she had picked the wrong topic. Not only did it not make Mary happy, but it also made her even more irritable! 

“Why do I want to stay there? Am I supposed to abandon this house too?” 

Elizabeth was at a loss for words. Who did she offend? 

Fortunately, Mary only scolded her a little before starting to criticize her brother, Lucas.

Elizabeth said, “Let’s not do that. Maybe they’re busy! Why don’t we call him tomorrow?”
