Chapter 89 

Seeing that the little boy was fine, the two women hugged the little boy and cried. 

“You scared me to death! Didn’t I tell you not to run around?” said one of the women, though she hugged the little boy tightly. 

When the little boy saw his mother, he recalled the panic he had when he couldn’t find her. He hugged his mother’s neck tightly and didn’t dare to let go again. 

“I couldn’t find you. Everyone ran, and I fell. It was this mister who carried me over!” 

The younger woman had already looked at Lucas. It was always easier for women to notice the handsome Lucas. 

She immediately ran to Lucas and almost pushed Annabelle to the ground. 

Lucas’s face immediately darkened. She quickly grabbed Annabelle’s waist to prevent her from falling. 

“Ah! Sorry, sorry, are you alright? I just wanted to thank this gentleman. If it weren’t for him, my nephew might not be so lucky!” The girl exclaimed and apologized to Annabelle. After saying that, she turned around and left with Annabelle. 

“Don’t be angry!” Seeing that Lucas was unhappy, Annabelle pinched his fingers. “I’m paying attention!” Even if Lucas did not help her, she would at most stagger and not fall! 

Lucas looked at her and did not continue to dwell on this topic. “Are you tired? Can you walk?”

Before Annabelle was pregnant, she was still quite slender. Her weight was distributed appropriately and she had a fine figure. However, after getting pregnant, although her other parts didn’t change much, her belly and breasts became bigger. Consequently, her overall weight increased significantly compared to before.

“You’re really heavy!” Lucas said. “You and the babies are in my hands!” 

Annabelle was still angry, but when she heard the last sentence, she suddenly stopped being angry. Then, she narrowed her eyes and rubbed her face against Lucas’s shoulder. She said softly, “Then make sure you hold me tight!” 

Lucas did not feel burdened carrying Annabelle. He walked back steadily. 

At this moment, the mother, who was hugging her child and crying, finally remembered the kind gentleman. When she turned around, she could not find him. She only saw her younger sister standing there angrily with a red face. 

“What’s wrong? Where’s the gentleman?” The mother looked at her younger sister and asked with a puzzled expression. 

“What gentleman?” The younger woman rolled her eyes and said furiously, “He’s an arrogant lunatic!” 

“What are you saying!” The mother did not know what had happened, but a stranger who saved her son from danger was a good person to her. 

“Mom, that mister is over there!” At this moment, the little boy tugged at the mother’s clothes, raised his head, and pointed in a direction. 

When the mother heard this, she followed her son’s hand and looked over. Sure enough, she saw Lucas carrying Annabelle. 

Without another word, the mother quickly picked up her son and chased after Lucas. No matter what, she had to thank him personally. 

“Sir, please wait a moment!” The woman carried Lucas and finally caught up. 

Lucas stopped with Annabelle in his arms. He looked at the person blocking his way and could not help but raise his eyebrows.

“You have to take care of your child when you go out!” Annabelle said gently to the mother, “Especially in such a crowded place!” 

The mother nodded. “I will. Thank you!” 

After the mother finished speaking, she reminded her son to thank Lucas. 

The little boy, who was a few years old, was wearing a fitting cotton suit. He looked really cute with his chubby face. When he heard his mother’s words, he bowed sincerely and thanked Lucas. However, he stumbled because he bowed too deeply, and lost his balance. Lucas was fast and stretched his leg to block the fall. The child hung on to his leg so that he did not fall. 

When the mother saw this, she quickly reached out and pulled her son back. 

She was embarrassed and grateful. She didn’t know what to say. 

“Thank you, mister! Mister, you’re amazing!” The little boy looked at Lucas and said with admiration. 

“You’re welcome. You’ll be powerful when you grow up!” Lucas said to the little boy. 

Annabelle patted Lucas’s shoulder and asked him to put her down. It was so tiring to hug her like this!
