Chapter 35- Amara

He marked me without my consent. How could he? He did it again. Tricking me into believing he loves me and then forcing things on me. He sat up and smiled at me. If he thinks I will do what he wants, he is so damn wrong

"So how is it going to be? You want me to move in here or you are going to move in at my house. It would be more convenient if you move at my place. We can be near the others. If you want to live here, that's also fine. What do you say?" Asher started ranting excitedly.

"Get out.” I hissed angrily.

"What?" he asked confused.

"Get out.” I said raising my voice.

"Why? What happened?” He asked. A look of hurt crossed his eyes. No he is tricking you again. Don't believe him. He always does that.

"What happened? First you didn't even talk to me when the others shunned me out when the Mathew incident happened. Then you come next day and declare your love and take me to meet your parents without asking if I am ready to meet them or not. Then when they force me to get engaged without asking if I am ready for it or not or if I want to do it or not, you just sat there on your backside with your head down. The irony of it is that they even declared I get engaged on Sunday. Who are they to take decisions of my life? What did you do? You didn't even utter a word. I walked out of your house. But you didn't even come to check up on me. Hell I thought you don't want me as a mate. I was going to leave so you can be happy with someone of your choice. And now, you crossed all boundaries. You marked me. Did you ask me if I am ready for all this relationship thing? You even want us to live together. Why would I want to live with you if you never even care for my opinion? What do you take me for?" I demanded.

He opened and closed his mouth. His face contracted in distress. He looked like he is in a lot of pain. Did I said too much? I said really mean things to him but it's the truth. I shouldn't be feeling bad. His eyes weld up with tears. Crap, I shouldn't have snapped at him. Why the hell am I feeling like this? I only wanted him to realize his mistakes. I sat in his lap, straddling him and hugged him. He buried his face in the crook of my neck where he marked me and circled his hands around me pulling me flush to him. He took deep breaths, maybe to stop himself from crying. I stroked his hair with my hand. I hope that will help.

"I am sorry." his voice came muffled. He lifted his face and looked straight in my eyes. He looked so broken. Oh no. I didn’t mean to do this. Why the hell is this affecting me so much? "I wasn't thinking what I was doing when you said you will leave me. I don't want to lose you. So I did what I thought will keep you from leaving me. Don't ever think that I don't want you. I should have stood up for you, I know. But, I am bound by the rules. I have to follow the orders. So I try to be there for you without breaking any of the rules and orders. If I go against them then they will hurt you as well. The pack runs on rules. No one can break them. I am sorry if I came out like I don't want you as my mate. It's not true though. I was waiting for my mate for so long and you showed up. You don't know how happy I am. I promised myself not to hurt you but I always end up hurting you. I am sorry for taking you granted. Give me one last chance. I promise I won't mess it up. Please.” He pleaded.

"Okay" The word came out of my mouth before I can even think what I was saying. He hugged me really tight.

"Thank you." he said smiling at me. He looks so hot with his hair sticking in different directions and that lazy smile on his face. Uhhhh bad Amara.

"I am sorry for snapping at you. It's just..." I said awkwardly.

"It's okay. It was my fault anyway. I should have talked it out with you earlier.” He replied.

A yawn came out of my mouth. Then I remembered I am still sitting in his lap. I slid off of his lap, blushing madly.

"Hey I liked that position. Come back.” he pouted.

I blushed even more if that was possible. He laughed at my expense. "It's really late. We have school tomorrow. I am sleeping and you should too. Good night." I said dismissing him.

I slid in the blankets and closed my eyes. He switched the lights off. I felt the blanket move and arms circled me.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused.

"Sleeping.”, he said burring his face in my hairs. I sighed and closed my eyes. I hope Ryder or papa doesn't find us like this or it will be hell for Asher.

I woke up to a loud banging on the front door. I looked at the time in my phone. Its half past two in the morning. Who the hell is banging so loud? The banging got even louder. Asher is still sleeping like a dead log. Who will believe this guy is a shifter. I untangled myself from Asher and got off the bed. I picked up the first thing that I found, which hilariously is a hair brush. Well something is better than nothing. I switched the lights on and opened the door. I took a step back in defensive position with the hair brush in my hand. I must be looking comical right now but I don't care. A frantic looking Ryan came into view. His hands were covered in blood. My eyes widened. What happened?

"Ryan what happened?" I asked scared.

"It's Leo. He is injured badly. He is at the west border. Just come with me. He won't survive. Please.” He looked really out of it. Leo must be seriously injured.

"Calm down Ryan. He is going to be alright. Wake Asher up when you feel better and come there. He is inside. I will go with Ryder." Ryan sat down at the door with his face in his hands.

“Ryder come to the cabin right now. It's urgent.’ I mind linked Ryder. He came in mere seconds. I climbed on his back. He dashed off. The scene I saw was horrible. Leo was lying on the ground trying to breathe. His ribs almost crushed from both sides. Blood was oozing out of his mouth. I hope none of his ribs puncher his heart or lungs. Caleb, Carter, Mathew and Stanley were surrounding him. I hoped off Ryder's back and went towards them. I sat down beside him.

"What happened?” I asked.

Stanley explained,” I, Ryan and Leo were patrolling borders when we came across two vampires. We told them not to hunt here but they attacked us. Leo killed one. Ryan and I were killing the other but two more came out of nowhere and attacked Leo. He killed one of them but the other crushed his sides from behind. I and Ryan took him down but the damage was already done. So Ryan went to get you as we can't take him to the hospital and I informed the others. "He is sleeping at my cabin. Ryan and Asher will be here any moment. Hold Leo down. Be careful of his bones." I instructed.

Carter and Caleb held his hands and shoulder without moving him. Stan and Mathew took his legs. I haven't fixed anyone's bones before. There is a first to everything.

Papa came out of nowhere and said, "You are not doing this. You are too weak for this kind of healing. You might die from this."

"Might right papa. He will die if I don't help. That's the only thing I can do to help. Let me try please.” I said desperately. I want to help as much as I can.

I turned towards Leo and took a deep breath. I closed my eyes and focused on my spirit energy. I blew air out of my mouth to relax myself and opened my eyes.
