2 months after the Luna Ceramony

I had been training hard since the incident with Rebecca and was even becoming more aggressive by the day. Marina had a vision of something happening to the pack and I knew not to take her apparitions lightly so I ordered everyone to increase their sessions by two hours. Just when things had started to settle down and Jack and I were able to begin our new lives together, the dangers that were lurking in the shadows were just waiting for the right time to strike.

Jack had also been working a lot more lately and every time I went to his office he was on the phone or meeting with someone from another pack. We hadn't had sex since our Lunamoon and to be honest it was taking a toll on me. I knew things would change once we got into a routine but I didn't expect it to be this hard to make time for each other.

I finished on the mats and went to the house to take a shower and jump into bed. I was exhausted and my head was killing me.

After I finished in the bathroom, I laid down and tried to fall asleep but my wolf was making it impossible. She had become extremely needy and only wanted to fall asleep with Jack but he was working late every night and didn't come to bed until I was already asleep. I guess she was missing her mate just as bad as I was. Eventually she gave in and let me fall into a deep slumber.

Sometime later in the night my eyes opened suddenly and my breathing became heavy. I was having that dream again, the one where ravenous wolves were chasing me into the woods and once I thought I was safe, hundreds of other wolves pounced on me, biting and tearing at my skin. I jumped out of bed with bile rising in my throat, I reached the toilet just in time and emptied the contents of my empty stomach into the bowl. I sat there with my head on the rim trying to breathe through the waves of nausea that threatened to make me hurl again.

Jack stirred in the bed but never got up and I was glad, this was the third time this week I had become sick. I got off the floor and walked to the sink, wet a towel and wiped my face, then I swished some water around in my mouth before spitting in the sink and going back to bed. I crawled in and snuggled up next to Jack, who happily pulled me into his side where he nuzzled his nose into my neck. He let out a little growl and inhaled deeper then opened his eyes and stared down at me.

"Anna? Why do you smell...different?"

I looked at him with guilt for not talking to him about this and what was going on with me but he was so busy and I was trying to keep the pack safe that my words fell out of my mouth before I could stop them.

"I'm sorry Jack but I got sick and I've been feeling bad all week. My head is killing me and my wolf has been going crazy, she won't let me sleep. I don't know what's going on but we need to spend time together, please?"

His eyes turned white as his wolf came forward making mine whimper at the sight of her mate. She purred as he nuzzled into my neck again and took a deep sniff causing a wave of pleasure through my body and made her roll over in satisfaction.

My body became like jello and my nipples perked up instantly at his command. He pushed my shirt up exposing my stomach and placed his hands on my warm flesh. Then he rubbed his nose all over my midsection while I watched in confusion. He laid his ear to my pelvis as I brushed his hair. Then he placed a delicate kiss just below my belly button and looked up at me with the biggest grin.

"Anna, you're pregnant!"

My heartbeat accelerated and my hands became sweaty, I looked at Jack with shock in my eyes and could barely speak. "W-what...how do...I'm pregnant?" Instinctively I placed my hand on my lower belly and started rubbing it as Jack continued rubbing his face all around my torso.

"Alpha wolves always know when their mate is expecting. Your scent gives it away, it started changing earlier this week but I just said it was because of your training sessions but Jett didn't believe me."

He couldn't stop smiling and his wolf was ecstatic even Aspen was curled into an all knowing protective ball around her belly. That sly little shit knew and didn't tell me! That explains her always wanting to be up Jack's butt.

I grabbed his face and pulled him up to me kissing him so hard I thought I was going to suck his lips off.

"We're going to be parents. Oh my goddess, Jack! I love you so much." I jumped up and said "We have to see the doctor tomorrow to be sure."

He chuckled and pulled me down saying "We will don't worry, now lay down and get some sleep." He kissed me then my belly before he pulled me into his side and placed his hand on my invisible bump. I fell right asleep instantly and dreamt of a beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed pup running around the pack house.

The next morning Jack made me breakfast in bed and then we headed to the pack hospital. Dr. Brown made us an appointment first thing that morning and was eagerly awaiting us when we walked through the lobby.

"Alpha, Luna, right this way."

He brought us to the first room on the hall and asked me to lay down in the chair. He squirted some green ultrasound gel on my belly then ran the probe through it placing it on my lower stomach.

He studied the screen for a few minutes until he gasped and said "Oh my!"

"What? Am I pregnant or not?" I said nervously.

"You are indeed pregnant, Luna but there's just one thing..." He said before swiveling the screen for us to see. Jack and I stared at the picture not really sure what we were looking at while we stared at a black and white circle.

"Uh, doc? Help us out here. What are we looking at?" Jack said as he tried to distinguish the blotches in front of us.

"Ok so this right here an the amniotic sac, and this is the baby." He pointed to a bubble with a tadpole looking thing in the middle. My eyes were watering as I squeezed Jack's hand. "But if you look right here..." He said as he shifted his pen to another bubble. "There is another sac and another baby."

"TWINS! Oh my goddess, we were having twins!" Jack smiled as he stared at the babies and I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. The love glistening in his eyes was remarkable. This man will never know how amazing he is and I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees these babies enter the world.

He kissed my belly after the gel was wiped off then pulled my shirt down and stood up kissing my forehead. "I love you Anna."

"I love you more, mate!"

His eyes widened as a tear dripped down his face. I reached out and wiped it with my thumb as he leaned into my touch. We were going to be parents! And to two pups! Life couldn't get anymore perfect!
