Chapter 5: Dombard

When Dombard in the body of Lanialis, the arqilunian who was Laylith’s mother, entered Grandavalnall, the capital of the forest elves, was able to convince the king to have mercy on Yashkirran, who continued to present himself as Khemesh Skarzborrush, and thanks to extraordinary luck, nobody recognized the isters.

Lanialis knew Yashkirran and what he looked like, and Dombard knew him, but now Dombard controlled Lanis’s body, and he benefited from this lie. The king lunged after the attack, and the other elves did not allow Lanialis to retreat. Finally, three orbs of the arqilunian soldier hit Dombard, but the king did not have time to react and with his shining turquoise sword slid along Lanis’s neck. Laylith’s mother grabbed her throat, and Dombard left her body. The stunned king and the other elves stared at the scene. Dombard didn’t think long.

“Now you will become my vessel,” he said and possessed the king’s body.

Lanis stopped holding her throat with her hands and fell, her eyes frozen in horror and surprise. The arqilunian soldiers didn’t know what to do. They saw how a certain entity, a ghost in armor with sharp angular stone spikes, emerged from the noble forest elf, and then possessed the body of their king.

“So what, are you going to kill me?” Aelarnal’s voice boomed. “Will you kill your king?”

The elves exchanged glances. At this time, Yashkirran realized that he needed to run. His hands were tied, and he just rushed to the city gates.

“The prisoner is running away,” Dombard said, raising the sword of the elven king, and pointing it in the direction of the rushing isters. “You and I had an interesting adventure, dear Yashkirran. I remember how you looked with appetite at Lanis’s body. Dombard in Aelarnal’s body walked away from the prisoner and turned to the stunned crowd.

“I understand that for you, dear arqilunians, the news is very unpleasant. If you kill me, then you will kill your king, besides, I can immediately possess one of you, and I can change one body to another endlessly! And you don’t have infinite lives, do you?
