“The big guys are still picking on the little guy,” Ginny observed. “I don’t know how he puts up with it. They were doing it all yesterday, and now they are doing it again today.”

Gabriel turned to watch. He could see that it seemed to be the sort of low-level teasing that wasn’t quite bullying ... probably difficult to get management to back you up on. And it was relentless. All the time. All day long. Gabriel was finding it very hard to watch. He had been bullied himself when he was young. That was when he had realised that you had to stand up for yourself. Nobody else was going to do it.

“They still seem to be checking all the above-ground processing functions,” Ginny said. “They seem to have made one of two adjustments to things, but mainly they just seem to be checking things. I wonder if they are going to work after dark again?”

“Yeah, about then,” said Ginny. “That was when they powered down all the lights and went back to that workshop place.”

“You know, if they’re working long shifts, I’m thinking they aren’t going to be here long,” Gabriel said worriedly. “They might be on some sort of tight time-frame. You know. Get done and get gone.”

“They might be finished tomorrow,” Ginny said.

Gabriel nodded. That was his thoughts as well.

“How’s about we go and see them in the morning, then?” Ginny said.

“Yeah. Let’s do that,” Gabriel said. “Let’s get some sleep, then bright and early, eh?”
