Summary
Scarlet's life has always been relatively human, hiding in her denial. Going to school and getting good grades, in between hunting the things that go bump in the night. That was the routine she had and enjoyed. When a dark stranger arrives, showing her a life without secrets, Scarlet is forced to face a reality she has been suppressing.
She has to face emotions that are completely foreign to her and learn things about herself that even her most dreadful nightmares could not conjure. In the end, she has to choose between the the safety of her loved ones or a life with him.
