The Chosen One

Everyone circled around the sword as they looked at it. The sword was silver, and the pommel was in the shape of a horse and the rain-guard had feathers like a bird on it. Peter looks at the sword as he can feel something is pulling him in, like the sword is calling him to pull it out from the ground. Peter stepped up to the sword as everyone looked at him, he looked at the grip of the sword before he slowly reached towards it but stopped. Looking over at Breena as she was smiling, and nodding her head telling him to go on, look back at the sword as he wraps his hand around the grip of the sword. Once he touched the sword, a flash of light came around him and he closed his eyes. Opening his eyes as he sees the ocean with a man sitting on a log looking ahead at the ocean. Peter looked around before walking over to the man. Once he is near him, Peter notices it was a human like him, but older and frail. The man turned his attention to Peter as his hair was grey with a long beard moved from the soft wind, his green eyes looking into Peter’s green eyes. The old man smiled and pulled out the sword that Peter was grabbing.

“This sword will bring you many dangers to you and your friends.” The man said as Peter looked at him some more till he figured out who this man was.

“Zentner Johnson?” Peter asked as the man smiled.

“Yes, that is my name. I’m the only one true king, but when I passed, I passed all my powers to my child, but only one can have my true power. And I guess it was because you have my powers now.” Zentner chuckled.

“Wait, you had a family?” Peter asked and Zentner smiled and looked back at the ocean.

“Yes, my wife and my only daughter, Zoey Johnson. She was only ten when I passed.” Zentner said with a sigh. “She was kinda like you, but as girl size you know, but let’s not talk about my family. Let’s talk about this sword and the other items you must find.”

“Yes, the key and the crown. I already got the cup of youth in me. All I need is the sword and the other two.” Peter said, as Zentner nodded.

“Yes, but you must use them properly. These are not toys, they are tools and you must figure out on your own why or how to use them.” Zentner said as Peter nodded as he understood. “Now, let’s start with the key. The key is the only one that can open one door and you must figure out what kind of door it is. “Okay, but why other worlds and lands?” Peter asked, as Zentner laughed.

“That boy, I don’t know why I did that, but only to send my people there if things in the world of Zarlakarla gone bad, everyone can move to a new world or lands. Or just to go into them and see what is around in those worlds and lands.” Zentner said, as Peter nodded.

“But why must I use the key? Zarlakarla is doing fine.” Peter asked.

“Maybe to gain new allies.” Zentner looked at Peter. “You may never know if there will be another war or something bad might happen and you need all the help you can get. Now let’s talk about the cup of youth. The cup of youth is a powerful cup. It sends you the greatest power of all in you. And that is friendships.”

“Friendship?” Peter asked.

“Yes, you see, you can easily tell who you trust and who you should not trust. I can tell you made some friends. They all are close to you, yes?”

“Yes.”

“Then that’s why the cup of youth gave you the ability to find great friends.” Zentner grips the sword and looks at it. “Now for the last one, the crown. My crown of the true king. You must destroy whoever started this evil and save the one that is not evil.”

“I don’t understand what you mean?” Said Peter.

“What I mean is that Draken is not the one who started the evil. The one that killed me started the evil and you must find them and stop them before more and more evil spread across Zarlakarla.” Zentner said with some anger in his voice.

“Okay, do you know who killed you?” Peter asked and Zentner looked at Peter.

“Someone that was very close to me, Peter. You must trust the people that are with you. You may never know that one day one of them will turn their backs against you and kill you like that someone that was close to me did.” Zentner said, and Peter nodded and kept that in mind. “Now for the sword, use the magic of the sword wisely, also if you ever need help, hold up the sword and call out Aurora and she will come and help you.”

“Thank you, Zentner, for telling me these things.” Peter said as Zentner smiled.

“Anytime.” He took a deep breath in and let it out with a wide smile on his face. “My time has come, and the wait is done. Now I can join my wife and child in heaven. Here is the sword.” Zentner handed the sword to Peter and Peter grabbed the grip. “One more thing, when the day comes you must choose what you want to do okay?”

“Okay.”

“Good, well, good luck and stay safe.” Zentner said with a smile.

With that, Zentner let go of the sword and everything went white again and then Peter saw everyone again as he was holding the sword in his hand. Breena looked shocked while Raina smiled at him and his friends looked awestruck.

“It looks like you are indeed the chosen one.” Breena said.

“Indeed, he is.” Raine said while looking at Peter, and Peter looked back before looking at his friends.

“Well, everyone, we have an adventure for us out there.” Peter said with a smile.
