Chapter 15 Trouble
Gwyneth hung up.
After crying for a while, Gwyneth wiped her tears off. When she came out of the fire exit, her eyes were still red.
Mollie Bullock, who worked in the Secretary Department, noticed her and asked with concern, “Ms. Maynard, did you cry?”
“No!”
She shook her head with a serious face.
Mollie nodded and patted her shoulder. “If you think it is stressful, you can ask for leave and have a vacation!”
Everyone knew it was hard to work for Raynard in the Fletcher Group.
Although their salaries were twice of others’, they needed to endure great pressure. They would be strong enough if they didn’t feel depressed.
Gwyneth glanced at her with gratitude. “Thank you. I’ll do it now.”
She would be freaked out if she didn’t do it!
Mollie nodded and comforted her before going back to work.
Gwyneth returned to her desk and wrote a note. Then she walked to Darron’s office.
She didn’t know what was going on with the video. But she needed Darron’s permission first.
Then she could leave after reporting to Raynard.
Just as she wanted to knock on the door to Darron’s office, she heard Patrick’s solemn voice. “It was severely damaged.”
“You can’t repair it?”
Darron sounded serious.
Gwyneth’s hand paused in the air! She listened eagerly!
Even Patrick couldn’t repair it… That was great…
However, before she sighed in relief, she heard Patrick say, “I need some time. Give me three days.”
“It takes you three days to repair it! Looks like the person behind this is no pushover!” Darron sneered.
Gwyneth put on a serious face. She didn’t feel relieved now.
Although he couldn’t repair it now, he might make it three days later!
Patrick said, “Yeah.”
“Got it. I’ll give you three days.”
Gwyneth returned to her desk and took out her phone to text Janine: “No need to come back. Problem solved for now!”
She felt that it was impossible to repair the video now that Patrick said so.
But Patrick was a genius!
“Patrick couldn’t repair it?” Janine replied soon.
Gwyneth: “Yes.” Then Janine replied: “Great! As long as he can’t make it, no one can make it!”
Unlike Gwyneth, who was not sure, Janine was confident.
Hearing this, Gwyneth felt more relieved. But she was still a bit nervous.
After all, it was not over.
She replied: “But Patrick said he needed three days!”
Janine: “Don’t worry. If he can’t do it now, he can’t do it forever!”
Janine was sure.
Gwyneth felt that made sense.
Patrick was a famous technician in the company. Almost no one could do something that he couldn’t do.
Gwyneth: “Got it!”
Gwyneth became relaxed!
They said nothing more and went back to work. They were both busy.
Occupied with work, Gwyneth was no longer afraid.
When they were about to get off work, Raynard called Gwyneth and Darron to his office.
Raynard smoked the cigarette in his hand and asked, “What about your investigation?”
Gwyneth said nothing. Since she was not that worried, she looked better.
But Darron was different. He had a serious face. “Patrick needs three days!”
Hearing that, Raynard shook his hand and squinted at him.
Apparently, Raynard was reminding Darron of what it meant if Patrick said so.
Darron understood and continued, “Tonight, Draven would arrive at Harbor City!”
Draven? The amazing hacker, Draven Coffey?
Gwyneth looked at Darron in shock.
