Chapter 20 Pick Her Up?

It was late.

Gwyneth went to Karlyn to get the household registration documents and say goodbye. Karlyn was making the bed for her.

Learning that she was leaving, Karlyn was upset. “Are you leaving now? Why don’t you stay here?”

Gwyneth shook her head. “No. I need to go to work!”

“Why do you need these documents?” Karlyn didn’t expect her to ask for the documents.

Gwyneth felt that Raynard must have come here for business.

But Raynard’s face darkened because of her words. He said in a deep voice, “I’m here to pick you up.”

She was so shocked.

He came to pick her up?

She looked up into Raynard’s gentle eyes and couldn’t help falling into a daze.

Raynard raised his brow and signaled her to get into the car.

Gwyneth didn’t know what to do… She seemed to have no choice.

Finally, under his sharp gaze, she got into the car.

The door was closed. Raynard walked around to the driver’s seat.

As his assistant, she had never taken the passenger’s seat.

Unlike other cars that smelled strangely, there was a fresh smell in the car.

Raynard glanced at the food she held. “Your sister cooked for you?”

She nodded. “Yes.”

Every time she came, her sister would cook for her.

They didn’t say anything until they reached Riverside Community.

Gwyneth didn’t know why he brought her here. She asked nervously, “What do you want me to do, Mr. Fletcher?”

She thought she needed to work overtime.

After all, she needed to take care of him as his assistant.
