Everyone fell silent right then, astonished by what they heard over the phone.
Aiden had indeed spent ten grand to buy the bracelet. What was more, the bracelet was authentic.
As Aiden looked at their expressions, he sneered,

In Linda’s eyes, Aiden was supposed to bear all the oppression and injustice. As long as he resisted, he would be considered rebellious and ungrateful.
Aiden only smiled in response and fell silent. Then, he turned to look at Angelina, hoping that she would stand up for him.
He wasn’t worried about falling out with Linda, but he just hoped that he wasn’t on his own at this

He wanted to know if his wife would support him and that the time spent treating her well over the past three years was worth it..

Linda initially thought that Aiden would probably fall to his knees and bawl his eyes out to seek their forgiveness like he used to do in the past.
After all, Aiden was unable to make any money. If he divorced Angelina, he couldn’t survive on his

Angelina’s reaction earlier made him lose hope of sustaining their relationship.
She had never regarded him as her husband, and it was all his wishful thinking.
He had thought about giving up his grudges and spending the rest of his life with Angelina. They would probably have a child and raise it with care and love. As such, he had been putting up with all the injustice the entire time.
Given his identity as the former young master of the Finnegan Family, he could’ve applied for a managerial role at any company even if he knew nothing about medicine. Nonetheless, he chose to give in to Angelina.
“Do you want a divorce? Linda finally came to her senses, and she was so furious that she started laughing. “How dare a good-for-nothing like you ask for a divorce? Who do you think you are?”
In the past few months, she had been trying to get Angelina to divorce Aiden, but her attempts had been unsuccessful due to various reasons.
There was no doubt she wanted Aiden to leave the Gray Residence as soon as possible. However, she had a change of mind now, for it was Aiden who proposed a divorce.
If they agreed to it, Angelina and the entire Gray Family would be humiliated.
“What right do you have to divorce my daughter?” Linda pointed at Aiden and snarled. “Without us, you’ll starve yourself to death in two days!”
Aiden looked calmly at Angelina and said, “Let’s divorce. I want nothing to do with your family anymore. I’m fed up with all of this!”

All of a sudden, she started yelling. “I’ll agree to the divorce, but you have to give us back the money first!”
Aiden asked impassively, “How should I give you the money?”
Linda sneered. “Since you’re so determined to get a divorce, I’ll grant your wish as long as you can give us the exact amount by tomorrow.”
She tried to push Aiden over the edge, for she was confident that he didn’t have that much money. “If you want a divorce, give us the money! I don’t care what you do, but you have to cough up enough money no matter what!”
