Chapter 57

Alexa's POV

As soon as I heard those words that they had found someone, and they thought she had been helping Robert, I was wide awake. I had to talk to this girl. I got out of bed and ran to the closet to get dressed. I threw on some skinny jeans and a T- shirt and some shoes. Colter was working on getting dressed.

Once we were ready, we headed downstairs. It was still quiet throughout the pack house but there were some Omega's who were getting breakfast ready. It smelled great as we walked through the kitchen area and my stomach let out a loud growl. “Someone hungry this morning?” Colter asked me.

“Yes, I am, but we need to talk to this wolf first”

We got to the dungeon and headed down the stairs and all the guards nodded their heads at us. I hated coming down here. It always smelled and it was cold and damp. I guess you don't want to be appeasing. The closer we got to the room this girl was screaming and crying.

“Did Liam start without us?” I asked Colter.

“I told him to start questioning her, but he isn't using any force.”

Something felt off about this situation. Those weren't screams of fear for what Liam was asking but pain like she was hurt. I took off running and went into the t*****e room and Liam was standing in the back not doing anything but watching her. She was young. Very young and she was so skinny. It looked like she hadn't been fed in weeks and she was filthy dirty, and you could see scars and old bruises covering her body.

Liam had her tied down to a chair like we would anyone else and she was trying to thrash around but couldn't move a lot because of the restraints.

“Storm, you want to help me with this girl?” I linked my wolf.

“This one I can't help. You need Jade for this." She linked back.

“Jade, can we help this girl?" I linked her.

“Of course!” She said.

Jade pushed forward and I turned towards Colt and Liam.

“Please leave us” She told them.

“We are not leaving. This isn't safe” Colt said.

“Leave now, Jade said using her Alpha command.

Liam left immediately and you could see that Colt was fighting it.

“I am fine. I need to talk to this girl, and she isn't going to talk when there is a male in her presence. Wait outside the door” Jade explained.

“I will go but we will talk about this later” He said in a low voice that conveyed how unhappy he was.

I walked over to the girl who was still thrashing around and placed my hand on her face.

I started to dig through her mind and finally found what I was looking for. She wasn't helping she was taken by him. I continued to look through everything and some of the things that were done to her were unspeakable. I pulled back becaus something was happening to her. She was snarling like a wolf but was still human.

She kept screaming and it was getting louder. Suddenly her arm snapped and reformed.

“What's happening to me?” She asked between screams.

That's when it hit me. She was human and they injected her with venom and she was having her first shift.

“Get in here now,” I yelled out to Colt and Liam.

Colt threw the door open looking at me with wild eyes thinking I was hurt.

“What's wrong?” He asked.

“She was human and they gave her wolf venom and she is having her first shift,” I said as I started to untie her legs. Colt and Liam jumped in and started to get her untied. I lifted her out of the chair and laid her on the floor.

I laid down on the floor and tried to talk her through this. She was fighting it. I knew how bad this hurt we all did but she ha to relax.

Jade started to rub her back and the girl slowly started to slow her screams. Her body started to morph again and she started screaming louder again but her feet and hands turned to paws and her face started to elongate and a snout was formed.

“That's it girl you can do it. Try to stay calm.” We told her.

With one last scream, she had fully shifted and started to howl. I walked over to her and ran my hand through her fur.

“You are a beautiful wolf. Now let's get you back to your human form. Just imagine your body and what it looks like think about your hair your eyes even your fingers think about everything that makes you you!" I told her.

It didn't take long and she was back to her human form laying on the ground curled in a ball naked. That's when I saw her back. She had been branded. The brand was Roberts's initials. I turned around and Colter and Liam were just staring at her. “Someone give me their shirt”

Liam was quick to hand his over. I grabbed it and started to put it over her.

“Come on sweetie, let's go talk somewhere else," I told her.

I helped her to her feet and she looked petrified but took my hand and we walked out and I headed to Colter's office. We got there and I turned to Colter.

“Please let me talk to her alone first. Would you get her some food and some more clothes?”

He leaned in and kissed me and just walked away. We walked in the door and I took her over to the table.

“What is your name?” I asked her.

“Leah” She said

“Ok Leah I know you are scared and confused and I will explain everything to you but can you tell me what happened?”

“I was leaving a club two weeks ago and some guy threw me the back of a van and tied me up and took us to a warehouse?” She started to explain.

“Where there other with you?" I asked her. I really wanted to know how many we were talking about.

“Yes many others. I didn’t know them but we were tied up and if we spoke they hit us. Then they would inject them with something. We would scream because whatever they injected us with hurt so bad that we would pass out”

“Wolfsbane." I mummered

“The warehouse had dogs in cages and naked humans. No one was safe. He was horrible."

“Do you know who he was?" I asked her.

“No, but if I can have my bag I can show you?

“Do you know where it is?” I asked her.

“That man who brought me here has it"

Colter came walking in with food and clothes for her and when I looked back over to Leah you could see her fear of Colter. She had sunk down into her chair and was trying to make herself as small as possible.

“Leah he won't hurt you I promise.”

she just shook her head but didn’t move. Colt put the food on the table and handed me the clothes.

“Why don't we step out and you can get dressed and eat and then I can explain what happened to you”

I grabbed Colter's hand and we walked out of the room.

“We need to set up a meeting with Julian and get a plan formed to get into that warehouse. They have humans and are injecting them with wolf venom among other things. From what she said wolfsbane. She explained how bad it hurt and they would pass out”

“We will work on that while you help Leah."

I gave him a kiss and went back into the office and Leah had gotten dressed and was eating.

“Why don't I explain what happened and answer any questions you have."

Isat down and explained everything she needed to know and she just sat there staring at me like I had lost my mind. I was finally done.

“Is this why I can hear someone talking in my head?"

“Yes, that's your wolf. You can talk back to her. Just think what you want to say to her and she will hear it”

She just got a big smile on her face as she tried it.

“Why don't we get you a room and you can shower and maybe sleep a bit? And later we can go through your bag and you car show us what you have."

“That would be great”

Itook her out of the office and found a room and let her know that I would check in on her in a few hours.

I walked back down to the dining hall and fixed a plate and went and sat down with Colt Mac Liam and Sloane.

“Everything ok?” Colter asked.

“It will be. What time is our call with Julian?"

“In two hours.” He answered me.

“Can we all meet in an hour? I want to go over Somethings with you first”

The all nodded at me and we ate our breakfast.

We finished our breakfast and I pulled Colter into his office before everyone else. I pushed him down in his office chair and climbed into his lap.

“What are you doing baby?" He asked me.

“I just wanted to snuggle you for a few minutes before everyone showed up.”

He didn't say anything else but wrapped his arms around me and just held me.

It wasn't long before someone was knocking at the door. He yelled come in and I went to stand but he just wrapped his arms around me tighter.

In walked everyone I asked to come. They walked over to the table and sat down. Colter stood up and walked with me in his arms and sat down with me in his lap.

“Whats up Lex?" Sloane asked me.

“I wanted to explain my two wolves to everyone. I am still learning new things but I do have two wolves and I always have but didn’t know it until I killed my mother and brother. My wolf Storm is a little bloodthirsty and likes revenge. She only comes forward in those times. You all know my wolf, Jade. She is the opposite of Storm. She is more of the soft one and wants to take care of everyone” I explained.

Nobody said anything to me for a few minutes, they just sat there staring at me.

“Someone say something please?” I said feeling a little nervous about their lack of saying anything.

“I think it's amazing. I wish I had two wolves” Sloane finally said.

“Can you call either of them forward at any time?” Mac asked.

“Yes, but when we are in a situation they know which one knows needs to come forward," I explained.

“Can they do anything else?” Liam asked.

“They can go into peoples minds and see their memories."

“So you can do that to anyone of us at any time?" Mac asked.

“No, it's only when needed. Like I did with Aubree.”

“Do you have any other special powers?” Sloane asked

“I don't know. They don't tell me a lot about what they can do. They like to surprise me with that”
