Chapter 82

Colter's POV

After a few hours of discussing what Julian's team had found, which was a whole lot of nothing. We finally all agreed on a plan. Which was the same as last time. Create a distraction and when we saw guys go out, we would go in. We would be leaving in a few hours, but this time we had only seventy men with us. This place seems smaller than the last so I am not worried.

I was lying there with Alexa in my arms and she was asleep again. I swear sometimes this girl could sleep all the time. I was 50 in love with her. She was perfect for me. She challenged me and took charge when needed to and wasn't afraid to take anyone on. She was also a great leader. She was meant to be queen. I can see it now. I don’t know why I let it bother me before, because it is what made her.

“Would you ask her to be our Luna and wife?” Grey linked me after listening to my thoughts.

“Yes, buddy, I am going to. I want to make her mine in every way possible”

“That would be ours, not yours."

“Yes, ours"

“Would you hurry up and do it already”

“I am working on it. I want it to be perfect”

“Nothing better than right now.”

“I don't have a ring and she needs a ring”

“What about your moms?"

“She is getting that but I want to add something to it that represents her.”

“I think you need to add three different blue stones to it. It would match all of their eyes”

“I like that idea. I will take it to the jeweler when we get home."

I cut my link with Grey or he was going to keep bugging me about asking her to marry me. I wanted to take her out on a fanc date and back to a hotel filled with flowers and then ask her. This would be happening as soon as we got back home. I couldn't wait.

I pulled her as close to me as I could get her to me and closed my eyes. I had set my alarm so that we wouldn't oversleep. The next thing I know my alarm is going off.

“No make it stop,” Alexa growled out.

“Sorry Princess, it's time to get up.”

“Ten more minutes please."

“No, or we will be late and we have already been late once today."

“Please I will hurry in ten minutes”

I just laid there and gave her ten minutes and rubbed my hand up and down her back. She went right back to sleep but the noises she was making would make a grown man blush, it was making my d**k hard, but we didn't have time for that right now.

“Princess, it's been ten minutes, it's really time to get up now.”

“Oh yes. Come on.”

“Fine, but I am not happy about it”

She finally got out of bed and went to the bathroom and I went to the closet. I got dressed in my usual all-black and headed back out into the room to wait for her to be done in the bathroom. I sat on the bed and tied up my shoes when she came ou looking sleepy still, but she had braided her hair like she has any time we had gone out and knew there would be a fight. Sh headed to the closet and I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. She came back out of the closet in her usual black as well and sat down on the bed by me and tied up her shoes.

“I am so ready to put this part of our lives behind us” Alexa finally said.

“Me too Princess, but I would do it all over again if it meant that I got to be with you”

She stood up and held out her hands to me and I placed mine in hers and she pulled me up and right into her arms. “Thank you love. I couldn't have gotten through this without you. I don't know if I would have survived without you."

“You would have because you are strong. You are the strongest person I know”

“OK, enough of the mushy, lets go finish this.”

We walked downstairs and there was everyone loading things into the cars and saying goodbyes to their families.

“You guys ready?” Mac asked as he came up to us.

“More than ready. We're ready to be done with this," Alexa said.

“Me too. I am so ready to start a life with my mate. I want to mark her but she won't let me until this is all done with,” Mac said.

“I understand that. She went through the worst of it” Alexis said sounding sad.

“Thank you everyone for coming on this mission today. We don't expect any issues. This should be a quick in and out and back home. Now let's get on the road,” Julian announced.

I grabbed Alex's hand and we walked over to my truck and got in. She immediately went and got in the middle. I sent Mac a mind link so that he could ride with us as well. He came and got into the front seat. Our drive wasn't very far, maybe thirty minutes, and then another twenty on foot.

I reached down and turned the radio on and Alexa snuggled into me like she always does. We all remained silent on the drive there. I know for me I was anxious about finishing this and finally having my mate safe,

I pulled into where everyone else was and we hopped out of the car and walked to where everyone was meeting up. “Alright everyone, let's get in our groups and get to your spots. You will wait for my signal to go.” Alexa yelled out.

She and I along with Mac were in wereone group and would be headed in first. We took off on our walk hand in hand and made it to the point where we would wait.

“Colt, whatever happens in there, I love you?"

“I love you too, but everything will be just fine."

“Everyone in place?” Alexa linked out.

Twenty seconds later, she closed her eyes and when she opened them it was Storm. She took a deep breath and then the distraction went off. We could see three wolves run out a back door and towards the explosion.

“Head in;" Alexa linked out to everyone and we took off towards the door.

I was not prepared for what was in there. This was not the same as the other ones. This had no people in it. Apparently, the three people that ran out were the only people there. This warehouse was filled with drugs. Everyone was just standing around looking at each other not knowing really what to do. There was millions of dollars worth of drugs here.

“Princess, what are you thinking?”

“I don't know, this isn’t what I was expecting. There are millions of dollars worth of drugs here. I don't even know what to do with all of this."

“Me neither”

The ones that created the distraction came back in with the three that went running out. Alexa was walking over to them anc so I followed behind her.

“What is this place?” She asked using her Alpha command.

“What does it look like?” One of them snapped back at her.

“Lock them up, with silver” She growled out.

Julian and Mac came up to us just as confused as we were.

“Hey we have gone through every room and it's nothing but more drugs,” Mac said.

“What the hell are we going to do with this many drugs," I asked.

“I don't know,” Alexa said.

“Julian, do you have anyone in the police department that can help us?” I asked.

“I don't have any wolves but I know some humans,” Julian answered.

“What about an anonymous tip?” Mac said.

“We could get the hell out of here and cover our tracks and in a couple of days’ time we will call and leave them a tip and what they do with that is up to them. They won't find anyone because we already have them.” Alexa said.

“That works for me;" Julian said.

“Good let's get the hell out of here before anyone shows up.”

We all walked back out to our vehicles and loaded up and took off. Alexa had taken the middle seat and snuggle right back into me and actually fell asleep on the short drive home.

“Is she asleep?” Mac asked me.

“Yes, she has been sleeping a lot lately”

“I am sure she has been stressed over this whole thing and now that itis over she will go back to normal”

“I am sure. I am just glad it is done with. I know she is nervous about meeting her real father”

“Her real father? How did you find him?”

“Roscoe actually knew who it was because of the two wolves."

I didn't reply to him because we had pulled up to the pack house. I turned the truck off and opened the door and slide out pulling Alexa with me. I picked her up from the truck and she snuggled right back into me not even waking up. I walked us to our room and pulled the blankets back and laid her down and stripped her down to nothing. She seemed to prefer to sleep naked. I stripped my clothes off and crawled into bed with her. She rolled right over to me and laid her head on my chest. I was woken up a few hours later by Alexa screaming out in her sleep. It scared me and made me jump up, effectively throwing her off of me. She sat up looking confused for a second before starting to cry.

“Princess, don't cry. It was just a bad dream," I told her as I came to the bed and she crawled into my lap.

“It was more than a dream. It was the truth. It was what I did."

“hat do you mean?"

“I was killing my family again and again over and over in my dream and couldn't wake up. The only thing that woke me up was you jumping”

“Princess, how often do you have these dreams?"

“Every night lately”

“Is this why you are so tired lately?”

She just shook her head and kept crying.

“Princess, I really think you should talk to someone when we get back home. They can really help. it helped me when my parents died”

“Can we go for a run?” She asked.

“Its like four am.”

“So I will link Julian and let him know."

“OK, princess."

We both got out of bed and threw on some clothes and headed downstairs.

We walked out to the tree line and Alexa stripped down and quickly shifted. Jade was present and she was beautiful, but so was Storm. They were the same but different. It was their personalities that made them different. I started to run my hands through her fur and she started licking me in the face. I stepped back and stripped down and shifted and we took off running.
