Alpha Connor stared blankly at Utah after what he just said then let out a humourous laugh.

“What are you saying Utah? That can't be true, you should examine her again” he said anxiously not wanting to believe what he just heard.

Utah shook his head, he had examined her twice and it showed the same result. Nothing will change even if he do that agair “I am sorry Alpha king but I don't know why her wolf is hiding, it's either because she is unconscious which is unlikely to be the problem or something else might have triggered it to hide” he explained.

“What can be done? Can't you do something? If she wakes up and finds out that she won't be able to change forms again, don't you think it will add to the pain she is already going through?” Alpha Connor asked running his hand through his hair tiredly.

He slumped down on the floor beside Daciana’s bed feeling weak and becoming vulnerable knowing that his power is useless to her.

Why did the moon goddess gave him such power when he can't use it to help his loved ones? When he can't use it to save those so dear to his heart? What is the use of it?

“I am not sure if this will work Alpha king but there is a high chance of her wolf returning if you mark her or feed her your wolf blood, it will help bring back her own wolf because her mate is closer to her, her wolf will want to return to its mate” Utah said in form of a suggestion.

Alpha Connor process what he said, to help Daciana heal, he will have to mark her as his mate or give her his wolf blood. If only he had known about this while they were still in the human world, he could have done that without thinking twice about it.

Even if he can't mate with her and mark her because of her unconsciousness, he can at least feed her his blood but why was he not aware of this?

“That's it? Are you sure it will work?” Alpha Connor queried.

“I have seen it work for some wolves I have encountered, it might not be different when you do it Alpha king. Her wolf might come back and it will help her heal more quickly with you being close to her, creating a bond between you two will be of great help to her but since she’s unconscious, you will have to wait till she is awake or nothing will work”

Alpha Connor's face fel, his plan to give her his blood can't even happen because she is unconscious?

“When will she be awake?" He asked eagerly.

Utah glanced at the unconscious young Luna on the bed before diverting his eyes to the Alpha king.

“I can't tell, she might wake up at any time, maybe a few hours later, a day or days but I assure you that she will wake up Alpha king” he replied sincerely, there is no need of giving the Alpha king false hopes when he is not sure about it himself. Alpha Connor nodded his head and stood up with the help of Dolphus.

“Please, feed her this herb thirty minutes from now. It has an aftereffect, it might make her do some things she doesn't normally do if she is in her normal self” Utah said as he tried to avoid using any offensive word.

This is their Luna and it seems the Alpha king now have deep interest in her, seeing him so worked up about her.

Alpha Connor collected the herb from him and stared at it.

“I will leave now Alpha king, I will come back when it is much brighter” he said bowing his head to Alpha Connor.

“Thank you Utah” he said.

Alpha Connor sat down beside Daciana on the bed while staring at her with so much regret.

He shouldn't have treated her badly because of his grudge against the Omegas. She is his mate, he could have accepted her from the start.

Knowing that she had gone through similar pain like this in his hands tore him apart, will she ever forgive him?

Alpha Connor took her hand in his, it felt warm and soft just like before which means that she is really still alive and hangin; in there.

Instead of brightening up, her unconscious face was getting paler and it worried him.

“Alpha king” Dolphus called. Alpha Connor looked away from Daciana to him.

“Thank you Dolphus, I can't repay you enough for being by my side. You should go and rest it's almost three in the morning” he said to Dolphus.

“You should rest too, like Utah said, the Luna will be fine. Don't worry too much about her Alpha king” Dolphus advised whil Alpha Connor nodded his head, not that he is actually going to rest.

He can't rest, not when his mate is on his bed, fighting for her life.

“Alright Alpha king, I will see you in a few hours. You can also call on me if there is anything I need to do for you” Dolphus bowed and left.

Alpha Connor laid beside Daciana after Dolphus left, he wrapped his arms around her protectively.

He buried his head in her neck, muttering some incoherent words. Like “wake up” and “you can't sleep too for long”

Up until morning, Alpha Connor was wide awake looking over his mate. He wanted to see her the moment she is awake.

He didn't change nor move from the same position he laid down earlier except standing up to feed her the herb and his gaz now solely on Daciana.

Looking at the red marks on her cheek, Alpha Connor regretted killing that human so quickly. He could have tortured him to death, there's nothing worse than that.

He trailed his hand on her face slightly rubbing the affected parts. The side of her lips have a cut on it too.

The knock on the door brought him out of his trance. Alpha Connor sat up, he covered Daciana with the duvet before telling whoever it is to come in.

Lynne came into the room with her head bowed.

Dolphus had informed her very early this morning of their arrival and asked her to tend to the Alpha king. She had also gotten the gist about their Luna's state.

“Good morning Alpha king” she greeted raising up her head. Instead of her gaze meeting with Alpha Connor, it went straight to the small female laying on the bed beside him.

“lynne” Alpha Connor called. Lynne had to take her eyes from Daciana.

“Are you okay Alpha king? How is the Luna doing today?” She asked. Alpha Connor knowing that Dolphus might have told he; sighed. There were bags under his eyes due to lack of sleep.

“Iam fine” he replied and then turned to Daciana.

“I believe she will be fine too” he added. Lynne nodded her head in understanding.

“Do you want me to get anything for you? You must be exhausted, I will prepare your bath for you and ask the maids to get your breakfast ready” Lynne said, Alpha Connor shook his head in declination.

“Don’t worry about any of that, I will call for you when I am hungry or ready to take my bath” he answered

“Yes Alpha king” Lynne replied and was about stepping out when she heard Alpha Connor's voice.

“Right, move her things to the my quarters and prepare a room for her” he instructed. At first, Lynne thought it was a dream but it can't be when she woke up not long ago.

She didn't mishear him did she? His voice was clear enough to her. What made him change his mind? Is he finally accepting the Luna as his mate?

Lynne's face twitched in excitement and her lips curved into a smile.

“Right away Alpha king” she didn’t wait for him to say anything else as the old woman ran out of the room in excitement. Meanwhile, Daciana opened her eyes but she closed them back immediately the brightness of the room hit her. Slowly, she began opening her eyes trying to adjust to the brightness.

The first thing she saw was the well decorated ceiling in Alpha Connor's room.

She felt a hand on her arm and she was forced to look that way only to meet Alpha Connor's gaze.

“You are awake” he said and pulled her into a bone crushing hug.

“I am so glad you are awake, I thought I was going to loose you” Alpha Connor added hugging her tightly.

Daciana let out a muffled groan then giggled.

“How long was I out my king?” She asked. Alpha Connor instantly pulled away from the hug to look at her.

“my king?’

The last time she had called her that was a long time ago and he thought it was a mistake but she just called him that again with a gigele which is unlike her.

“Are you okay? Do you feel any pain?” He asked checking her body. Daciana held his hand while pouting her lips. “Everywhere hurts my king, especially my neck and thighs. That man, he did a lot of terrible things to me, I thought I was going to die but I am glad you came and saved me” she said with a smile on her face and tears dropping down from her eyes Alpha Connor felt the chill, he pulled her into another round of hug again parting her back comfortingly.

“You will be fine, you are going to be okay. I promise, no harm will ever come to you again, I will protect you” he assured her then tried to pull away but Daciana held onto him.

“I love it like this, I want you to continue hugging me. I want to be in your arms” she said snuggling closer to him.

Alpha Connor parted her back soothingly as she stayed quiet in his arm.

“What can I do to gain your forgiveness Daciana?” He whispered inaudibly.
