Chapter 45

The two female were talking about some random things with Kaira doing most of the talks. She succeeded in taking Daciana’s mind from everything she was thinking of earlier as she eats her meal.

“I am full” Daciana announced dragging the table from her front and Kaira raised her brow at her.

“You've barely eaten anything my Queen, please take a few more spoons” she persuaded but Daciana shook her head. There is no way she will continue eating this food. She already ate half, all thanks to Kaira’s coercion.

“I am really okay Kaira” she retorted, as the other female was about protesting, the gentle knock on the door stopped her. They both snap their heads to the direction of the door in confusion, Lynne wouldn't knock before coming into her room, could it be the maids they talked about? Daciana thought of the possibilities of who could be at her door by this time. It's almost eight in the evening.

“I will get it" Kaira offered before Daciana could stand up. She nodded her head at Kaira as she uses her hand to circle her thigh.

Kaira's sudden gasp made her raise her head.

“Good evening Beta Dolphus” Daciana sprang up from the chair on hearing Kaira’s voice. She was too fast that she almost landed on the floor, her eyes stared at the huge male god approaching her, with her heart pounding in her chest.

Her mind wandered around the whys, if Dolphus is here, it only means one thing, he was sent by the Alpha king.

Dolphus as usual nodded his head in response to Kaira's greetings, he bowed his head on reaching where Daciana was standing.

“Good evening” Daciana greeted, trying hard to hide her fears and anxiousness to knowing why Dolphus is here.

“Good evening Luna, how are you feeling?” He asked not daring to look up at her. He doesn't want anything that will cause a Tift between him and the Alpha king.

“Except for the wounds, I feel less pain now” Daciana replied, biting her lips while Dolphus nodded again.

“I am sorry to have interrupted your evening but the Alpha king request your presence” he informed.

Daciana’s heart skidded, not sure whether it was from fear or excitement. She has been looking forward to the Alpha king summoning her, she have been longing to see him since she woke up without him by her side.

Unlike the other days she'd be scared each time the Alpha king calls on her, today’s a bit different. She isn't scared, she is ecstasy and eager to see Alpha Connor, it doesn't matter what he is calling her for as long as she is able to see him.

Both she and Kaira exchange glances, Kaira nodded in approval. As much as she is not sure why the Alpha king is beckoning on her Queen, it is better for her to be there like before.

“I will be leaving now, good night my Queen” she bowed, a thin line appeared on her lips spreading it into a smile which Daciana didn't fail to return.

“Thank you Kaira” once Kaira was gone, Dolphus gestured Dacian to go out first before following behind her.

Daciana contemplated on whether to start a conversation with Dolphus or not, she is aware of the fact that it was both him and the Alpha king that saved her from that man in the human world. Even without no one telling her that, she knows Alpha Connor will not go anywhere without him.

She want to at least thank him for saving her but what if he ignores her? Or choose not to reply? Dolphus is too conservative that it worried her sometime how the two men put up with each other.

On looking back at the stoic man following closely behind her, she gave up trying to talk to him. His face is as scary as that o the Alpha king, maybe she will do that some other times but definitely not today anymore.

Once they got to Alpha Connor's door, Dolphus let the door open for her. Probably, this is where his service ends tonight. “The Alpha king is waiting for you in his room, please go ahead” he said to her. Daciana nodded and stepped inside.

There were a lot of feelings that she felt, she couldn't explain why she felt nervous, anxious and excited just at the thought of seeing the Alpha king. She has made up her mind to bear whatever comes her way since there is nothing she can do to change it.

She passed the living room to the Master's bedroom as she look around for any sign of the Alpha king but he wasn't in the room. As she was looking around for him, she heard the shower running.

sighing and not sure of what to do, she stood in the middle of his room with her head bowed and her hands interlocked in front of her. She doesn't know the kind of mood Alpha Connor is in right now, it might be totally different from his mood thi morning when he took care of her without thinking twice or about the pain he will feel.

sitting down on the bed while waiting for him might be a liability to herself. As much she doesn't want to care about the reason why Alpha Connor called her, she hoped that this night won't be a night of torture for her, she is sick and still healing from the wound.

As she was lost in her own thoughts, the bathroom door was swung opened and Alpha Connor stepped out in all his glory, dripping wet from the small towel wrapped around his waist.

Daciana was forced to raise her head and for the first time, she froze on seeing him. Taking in his appearance, he looks devilishly handsome, his toned skin looks so beautiful to her, he looks huge and well built like someone that works out. She couldn't get her eyes off his torso, the towel dangerously hung on his waist does nothing but make her drool.

This is the first time she is boldly checking him out and she couldn't stop herself from doing so. The sudden heat of someone standing so close to her brought her back to reality.

Daciana gulped, she looked down with flushed cheeks seeing Alpha Connor standing close to her. So close that she might bump into him if she takes a step forward.

Alpha Connor raised her chin to look up at him, a small smile appeared on his face seeing how timid his Luna is after getting caught checking him out.

She looks cute with the blush on her face. Right from the moment he brought her to his tower, he knew she is beautiful, more beautiful than the females he had been with in the past, especially on the full moon to get rid of his s**** urges. “Look up” he ordered. Daciana slowly raised her head to look up at him, not failing to bite her lips occasionally. It is something she is used to and mostly she is not aware of when she does that.

Her innocent eyes met with Alpha Connor's intense gaze on her. For a moment, she got lost in his mesmerizing eyes. Why didn't she take her time to see how beautiful the Alpha king is before now?

She knew that he is handsome but staring at him up close for the first time, he is beyond handsome.

Daciana did not give an answer, she doesn’t know what to say or tell the Alpha king. It is true that she has seen him naked a lot of times but that is different from now. Those times, she never got the chance to look at him from another angle aside the pain he inflicted on her through s*x.

“Or are you still scared of me?” He asked again. Daciana saw an expression on his face but it quickly went away just like it “appeared. Was he sad or hurt?

And the question, if not for the fact that he is the Alpha king and he might punish her for thinking of him as a joke, she coul have laughed. Till forever, she will be scared of this man in front of her.

No matter how much her feelings for him grows, that wouldn't stop her from being scared of him.

Getting no answer from her, Alpha Connor took it as a yes. He suddenly became sad at the thought of his mate seeing him a: someone fearful. From everything that has happened, he knows that she will still be scared of him, he can't change that righ away but as long as they are together, he promise to change that.

He doesn't want this awkwardness between them, he suddenly yearn for a good relationship.

Just like that, Alpha Connor pulled her into a hug ignoring how sexually deprived he was feeling. He felt like he haven't had s*x in ages when in fact, it hasn't been up to a week since he had s*x.

Daciana’s eyes almost bulge out in surprise as Alpha Connor wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly.

“Please stay with me, stay with me for the night” Alpha Connor pledged, snuggling closer to her with his eyes closed as he savour her scent.

That was the only word Daciana caught in her head, she can't remember the Alpha king ever saying that kind of word to her. She is just getting surprised numerous times tonight by his attitude.

She felt numb and dumb, confused on what to say or how to react. This is new to her, this side of him is not something she i used to. Is he really changing towards her? That question popped up in her head, she didn't have the answer to yet, she couldn't dare to ask him either.

Even when she is aware that he wasn't asking for his permission, she got over the moon after hearing it from him. It was just aword but it made the nut in her chest tightened.

Before Daciana could process everything, Alpha Connor stepped away from her. She felt cold and empty after leaving his grij “How are you feeling?” He asked as if he just remembered that now while Daciana nodded her head. She knows he might punish her for that but her words could betray her if she opens her mouth to speak.

“I will get changed, don't stand there. Get on the bed” he commanded and dashed into his closet.

Daciana let out the breath she didn’t know she was holding until now. Her hand landed on her chest to feel how loudly it was thudding. She dragged her feet to the bed and sat down on it confused and perturbed.

What is he doing to her? Why is she suddenly feeling helpless whenever he is close to her? The fear in her heart was also disappearing and it is being replaced with the crazy feeling of excitement.

Soon, Alpha Connor came back clad in his PJs. He jumped on the bed and patted the empty space beside him for Daciana. slowly, she climbed the bed with him and he engulfed her without thinking twice about it. He momentarily closed his eyes again, drawing closer to her until her head was buried in his chest.

He loves the closeness and most importantly, he strangely love the feeling that comes with it.
