“Come on, Beth. Get your pretty a*s out of that bathtub. Lorenzo has been gone for almost two weeks and he is becoming more grumpy by the minute. Trust me, you don't want to keep him away from his women much longer, I would hate to see him turn into a grumpy old man.” Dominic let out jokingly, causing me to chuckle softly. The prisoners that were arrested by Dominic and Ashford we're being released and some of them are given some tasks to carry out so they can prove that they are truly repentant. For days now, the two kings have been working together, making sure that everything is settled properly It's so good to see them together, you would never know that there was a war between us. They got rid of everything related to that war and they destroyed every weapon that could harm us in any way. It seems like a good way to start our lives afresh.

The others left a few days after the party, Dwayne and Carl needed to head back home to carry out king Dominic's orders. Harriet needed to go be with her mom and she needs to go back home and take her place as the new Alpha of the pack. She never wanted to take up the mantle, but she has no choice in the matter because her father was dead and she is his eldest child so the title falls on her whether she likes it or not. It's a good thing that she has Carl by her side, together, they are going to lead two packs, mine and hers. As the future queen of all wolves, I can not be the Alpha of our pack and my sister has sworn not to ever return to that packhouse. Dom entrusted Carl with the pack, he would be the new Alpha of our pack, he knows the territory and he has the knowledge and ability to lead our people to greatness. The two packs share a boundary, and the two new Alphas, Carl and Harriet are mated by the moon goddess, so automatically, the two packs will be merged as one, and Harriet and Carl will lead our people under the leadership of the king of all wolves, my mate and king, Dominic.

As always, Dwayne will be by Dominic's side as his Beta and second in command. His mate Fiona would be with him in the castle, it would be so nice to have her around, I don't think I would ever cope in that Castle without a friend, although I still have Alaina as my friend and personal omega, I still think it's perfect to have Fiona there as well. The humans can never find out that there are supernatural creatures living amongst them, they can never know about our homes and most importantly, they can never find out that one of us had invaded their territory and he had planned to wipe out their leader and take control of their city If they find any evidence of King Ashford's activity, then we are all doomed, including the Mafia Lord, Marco Lorenzo because they will find out about his underground operations a d they will hunt him down and shut down all his businesses. A lot is a stake, but with their combined efforts, they will put an end to these investigations and destroy every evidence that could lead them to us. We have our work cut out for us, and we are working so hard to make it all go away. I still don't like some of the decisions they are making, like releasing all the prisoners, but I have come to understand that it is all for the good of ou people. Most of those prisoners worked closely with King Ashford, and they could be the only ones that can track down all his secret warehouses and hideouts. We need to shut down all his operations and destroy everything he was working on, that is why we need those bastards that betrayed their own people.

Releasing them and pardoning all their previous betrayals is a sign of goodwill. They may still have some lingering grudges against the two kings, but they will fall in line when they realize that they have no other choice. Its either they bend to the new rules or they lose their lives. The new kings put them all under constant surveillance. Any wrong move will cost them their lives. That's what they get for betraying us, they deserve more severe punishment, but since we are all starting on a clean slate, it's only right that they get a second chance to prove their loyalty. Clean slate, new beginnings for everyone, including those bastards that hurt me and my friends. I hate the idea of letting them go, but we have more important issues to handle so I need to put my discomforts aside and support the two kings in their diplomatic decisions and policies.
