still Bethany's POV

“Miguel, this is my friend Bethany, and Beth, meet Miguel Harriet said cheerily as she did the introductions.

“So nice to finally meet you, Bethany. I've heard so much about you. It's so nice to finally put a face to the name.” He said with a warm smile as he gazes into my eyes. I exchanged a look with Harriet, silently asking her if she had been talking to he cousin about me. She shrugged her shoulder in response, telling me that she is as clueless about his words as I am. I decided to let it go because I still need him to agree to hang out with me, I wouldn't want to upset him during our first meeting. Harriet gave me a look as she pulled him a few miles away from where we were standing, I guess she tell him the real reason why she had invited him here.

Isat in the car and played with my phone, giving them a chance to speak in private. A part of me wants to listen in and hear what they are saying, but I know it's wrong to listen in on their conversation, I know I should respect their privacy and give them a chance to talk but my curiosity wouldn't just let me sit still. I could see them arguing with it each other and it looks so serious, I think he is refusing to do it. Why the hell would he refuse me, why is everyone rejecting me, is there something wrong with me, is this some kind of bad luck or what. I need to know what he is saying, I can no longer restrain myself, I just have to listen in. Don't blame me for eavesdropping, blame it on my curiosity.

“All I'm asking is for you to keep her company for some time. I don't spend much time with her because I am so busy with m duties in the castle and I barely have time for myself. You just have to pretend to be in love with her, just spend time with he and make her feel loved. She is going through a lot right now, she just needs someone to hang out with, she needs to go out often and have some fun” Harriet pleaded with him, trying to get him to change his mind.

Why the hell would you ask me to go on a date with the king's mate?” Miguel, asked in frustration, his hand going through hi hair as he glares furiously at Harriet, avoiding my gaze intentionally.

Miguel is Harriet's cousin, we had picked him up at the pack borders and brought him into the castle. He always comes here whenever he wishes to spend time with his cousin. He lives in the pack house of the Blood moon packs, Harriet's former pack before she was brought to the king's Castle. Dominic has a lot of respect for Alpha Gerald Patterson, the Alpha of the Blood moon pack, Harriet's father. After King Dominic conquered their pack, he had let Miguel take charge of the pack while Alpha Gerald and his successor are away.

I have no idea how he had found out that the king had chosen me as his companion for the duration of my stay in this cast I guess everything that happens in this castle is like big news to them. They keep no secret around here, they spill out every information about the king, with or without his knowledge. Harriet caught my eyes looking their way and she sighed frustratedly as she turned him the other way, forcing him to look at her.

“Why the hell are you being so stubborn, you know me, Miguel, you know I would never do anything to hurt you or get you ir trouble. The King would never hurt you because of a woman, he doesn't even want her around him anymore. He kicked her out of his room, letting her to stay in the guest room while he screws the omega’s that attend to him. I don't know what you must have heard about Bethany and the king, but trust me, it's all lies. The King rejected her and pushed her away, she is feeling heartbroken and sad, very sad Miguel. I just don't want her to think that she is all alone, I don't want her to feel depressed and rejected. Please, Miguel, don't push her away too. It's only for a few days and then everything would go back to how it used to be.” She told him pleadingly.

She is lying, I know she is. We both know that Dominic would have his head if he finds him with me. I have no idea why she chose to lie to him, but I can't go along with her lies. He has to know exactly what he is getting himself into, Dominic is the king of all wolves, he would never let him get away with this, if he gets punished because of me, it should be because he truly feels my pain and wishes to help, not because he got tricked into helping me. I got down from the car, banging the doo hard enough to get their attention. They both turned to stare at me, with Harriet giving me eye signals, telling me to back of I smiled warmly and nodded my head, assuring her that it was okay. I walked up to where they stood, standing in their midst “She is lying Miguel, Dominic would have your head if he finds out that you are having an affair with me," told him honestly watching the angry movement of his jaw as he glares at her. I went on to tell him the whole truth about Dominic and I, tellin him how he had rejected me and sent me away from his room only for me to find him screwing an omega in his office. “Despite what he has done, I still love him, I just want to see if he still wants me, Miguel. I want to see if he'll come after me when he sees that I'm ready to move on with my life. 'm not using you as a rebound, I just want him to be jealous, and at th same time, I want to have fun” I told him teasingly, making him smile warmly at me.

“King Dominic must be either blind or completely insane to be treating you this way." He let out in a whisper, staring into my eyes, causing a blush to appear on my face.

“What do you say, are you in?" I inquired curiously.

“I would lay down my Life for you, if only it would put a smile on your beautiful face.” He teased, making me blush even harder than before. I like him, not as much as I love my true mate, but it's there anyway. He has a calm demeanor, and he is so easy to talk to, I feel like I can tell him anything, I am so free and relaxed with him because of his easygoing and jovial attitude. I can see why Harriet referred to him as her best friend. If he continues teasing and joking with me this way, he is definitely going to be my best friend as well. “If you two are done flirting with each other, you can let me know so we can get the f**k out of here already. It's almost dinner time, I want to be at the dinner table on time so it doesn't look like I'm still sick and dying in the hospital. Now get your a*ses over here and let's get going” Harriet scolded jokingly, causing us to giggle softly.

We headed back to the car, driving back to the castle with Miguel staring closely at me, giving me goosebumps all over my body. I've never felt this way with any other guy, except for my mate. I couldn't suppress the blush that spread across my fac when my eyes met his, it felt like a bond, but I'm certain that it's not a mating bond. If I hadn't met Dominic, I would have thought that he is my mate, but that's not remotely possible, I've found one true mate, he happens to be a bull headed king that doesn't treat me the way I want to be treated. I can't wait to see how he would react when he sees me flirting with Miguel right in front of him.

“I'll meet you in the dining room, look sexy.” He whispered softly, making me blush as I went up to my room to get ready for dinner. He is right, I need to look sexy if I want this to work. I have to let him see that I'm not the least bit bothered by his rejection, he has to know that I'm better off without him. I got into my room and walked right up to my walk-in closet. I foun all my stuff in my closet, it seems that the omega had helped me move my things into my room. They really can't wait to get a chance to screw him as well, they can't wait to replace me by his side and warm his bed all night long. I won't let them get to me, I'll simply show them how much I mean to him. When they see him coming after me like his very life depended on it, they would learn not to mess with the mating bond.

I searched through all my stuff, searching for the perfect dress that would accentuate all my curves and highlight my shape and beauty. I searched and searched but I couldn't find anything nice that would give me exactly what I wanted. Ever since that butch destroyed my things, I've been borrowing stuff from Harriet, Dominic had promised to get me something but he had been too busy to attend to me. He had been too busy screwing bitches. Just when I settled on a simple black gown, just when I thought I would never find the perfect cloth, I heard a soft knock on the door followed by the gentle and calm voice of Alaina as she calls out to me. It's been so long since I last saw her, a lot of things had happened and I think Dominic had called her off, ordering her to let me live my life freely. It's just as well because I was getting bored with her presence every freereg that that passes, I can't keep moving around the Castle with my own personal slave, jealous people are bound to gossip about me and I just don't want that to happen.

I love her and I enjoy her company sometimes, but not this way, not choking me with her twenty-four hours of surveillance that weighs heavily on me. I open the door and she engulfed me in a bear hug, expressing her heartfelt emotions to me, telling me how much she had missed me. I wanted to ask her a few questions about the king and the other omegas, but I don't want to sound petty and jealous, besides she had let me know that she is needed back immediately, she only came to deliver a special gift to me. So I simply received the gift she had brought for me, opening the gift bag immediately she left the room. It had a note in it that says,

I smiled in appreciation as I tore the nag open and brought out its FC contents. It held the most beautiful gown I have ever set my eyes on. It was a short halter strap silver-colored gown that glowed brightly because of all the glittering stones on it and it stopped right below my round full a*s, hugging my body so right like a second skin. This is so perfect, so f*****g beautiful. There were a red stiletto and a matching red purse that I can carry along. All these things he just bought would certainly cost a fortune, how could Miguel had afforded such an expensive dress and shoe, better still, why did he get them for me?

I can't wait for Dominic to see me in this dress, he would never be able to take his eyes away from me, but ill make him sweat it, I ain't falling for his charms and cheap seduction this time around, I'll teach him not to toil with my heart anymore, he would know that I am way prettier and sexier than those whores that flock around him.
