There was a collective gasp from the crowd as they watched his public show of affection in the dining room. I must confess that I'm also surprised at his attitude also, why is he treating me this way when he had been so furious with me before he left the room. Did something happen while I was still upstairs, did Alexia say something to him that changed his mind?

“Or maybe he is faking it," I thought within me, contemplating different reasons that could make him treat me this nicely. A lot of things are going through my mind, but I couldn't settle on any definite answer because none Of these answers made sense to me, it's just not in his personality, he doesn't just change his mind at will, he never does anything without a reason, of that I'm certain He leaned over and pecked my cheeks, his warm breath fanning my cheeks as he whispered seductively ir my ears,

It was at that very moment that I realized what was going on. She had seen some of it, but I'm guessing that she didn't quite see it clearly, that is why she is looking at me that way. But I think 'm loving this idea of his already, I love this silly look on Bianca's face, it's way more fun to watch her struggle to come up with reasonable explanation for the mark on my neck. I'm sure she would never believe that Dominic had marked me, she still believes that he has a thing for her, and she thinks he is still coming back to her. As for me, I have no plans on changing that narrative, Ill just let her keep believing that while I relax and enjoy the benefits of being mated to the Alpha King.

“Thanks, Bianca, I don't mind the heat at all. My muffler compliments my dressing and I love it this way." I responded to her, wiping that stupid smile off her face. I'm guessing this is why Dominic wanted me to keep our relationship a secret, he must have a very good reason for insisting I hide his mark, he could be trying to shield me from nosy, bitches like Bianca. But he doesn't really have to try so hard to protect me from her, I'm sure that I can handle the likes of Bianca with so much ease. I looked up at her, giving her a knowing smile, letting her know that I know exactly what she is up to. Dominic was watching our exchange with a smile on his face, I'm guessing that he approves of my reaction to her questions, he loves the way I'm answering her questions without giving out anything. “Come with me, I'll explain everything in my office.” He let out softly. He spoke with his mouth this time, not through our mind link like he has been doing all this while. He even stood up and stretch out his hand to me, telling me to take his hand I was surprised at first, but I quickly got over my surprise and I stood up to take his hand as he led me out of the dining hall to his office. Just as we were about to step out of the dining hall, someone bumped into me, spilling a big bowl of hot soup on my body, making me gasp in shock as it burned my skin. My skin was healing almost immediately, but my outfit was ruined as I was covered in soup. I heard a soft giggle and when I looked up, I saw who my assailant was...
