Bethany's POV

Have you ever had that feeling where you feel like everyone has gone completely insane, I mean, have you ever thought that everything in the world is going wrong like every damn thing is not the way it is supposed to be?

Well, that's me right now, laying on Dominic's arms, thinking of a better way to convince him not to use me as bait. Everything was going flawlessly cool, at first, he was so furious with me for playing such a prank on him, but when he took me upstairs, he made passionate love to me, touching me in all the right places, making me scream out his name in ecstasy, bringing me multiple orgasms. Damn, I love this guy, I can never get enough of him, he is so damn perfect, so flawless. We stayed locked up in our room for hours, screwing our brains out, satisfying all our s****I desires. I was just about to fall asleep in his arms when he told me that he has decided to give king Ashford exactly what he wants. I think he has discovered that he cannot hack into Dominic's computer, he now knows that there is no way he would get those cameras out of that place, that is why he asked me to get them out, he doesn’t want to send his guys because he knows that they will be caught. His moles are being too careful, they have not carried out any operations, they have been lying low, waiting for the right time to strike. He is protecting his men, keeping them ready for the right time to attack. He is keeping his moles safe, but he asked me to put myself at risk, he wants me to risk my life while his men stay back and prepare for war. I wasn't bothered about it when king Ashford told me to do it, but now that Dominic is telling me to do it, now I'm truly worried.

Can't he see that King Ashford is just baiting him?

Why would King Ashford send me, why not one of his boys, why me. If you ask me, I think that he knows about Dominic and “me. He knows that Dominic and I are not into any contract like Dominic told my parents. His moles must have informed him that Dominic has a soft spot for me, that is why he wants me to do it, he knows that Dominic will not hurt me, he knows that I can get away with it without getting caught and without getting hurt, that is why he asks me to do it. If I follow along with Dominic's plans, it will confirm his suspicion that Dominic and I have something more than just a business contract, and if that truth comes out in the open, I will be the target of all his enemies, they will use me as a tool to get anything they want from Dominic, they will use me to bring him down, and that is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I don't know why Dominic is bent on going along with this same plan, can't he see that itis a risk not worth taking, why is he taking it so calmly, I'm tryin 50 hard to understand his reasons, but it just refuses to sink in, I just don’t understand him. At first, he was listening to my explanation when I kicked against his plans, he was beginning to see things from my own standpoint and I'm sure he was seriously considering the idea of coming up with another plan so he can keep me out of the crossfire, but when he went to his office and came back, his countenance changed immediately and he refused to listen to anything I have to say. He lookes so furious when he got back and it felt like his mind was made up completely, there is nothing I could do or say to change his mind, he wasn't going to listen to me or any other person.

I could not reason with him at that moment so I walked out of the room to consult with Harriet, she is the only one that can help me talk to him. I met her in Dominic's office, she was sitting with Carl and Dwayne and she looks so sad, her eyes were red, and could see the bags under her eyes and the faded trail of dried tears that rolled down her cheeks. I was so stunned by her disheveled state, so I walked forward and sat next to her, pulling her into my arms. I was just about to ask her what is wrong when I noticed that they were all looking toward a huge screen on the wall. I followed the direction of their eyes and watched along with them. It was at that moment that I found out the reason why Dominic is 50 angry. He had just seen the real situation of things at the Alphas lodge, he has seen the inhumane treatment that his faithful warriors and the Alphas that are still siding him are subjected to. I could see my father, sitting in the sitting room like a king, commanding the warriors that are on his side. The Alphas that are on his side are sitting with him in the sitting room while the others that ar against his plans are locked away in their rooms, or maybe they are even locked together in a room like a bunch of criminals I could see some of the guards, lying on the floor with purple veins covering their bodies which could only mean that they have been poisoned with wolfsbane.

This goes a long way to prove that king Ashford has sown his seed of deceit deep into King Dominic's territory and that is why Dominic is very pissed. He is bent on fishing out the moles in this Castle, he is very disturbed by the fact that the moles have overrun his territory, they are getting so bold and fearless. They have taken absolute control of everything, breaking down his defenses, taking him down slowly. I wonder how my father had found out that we were coming to the Alphas lodge I wonder how he managed to hide every evidence of his operation when we were there, he didn't even trust me enough to tell me the truth, he hid it so perfectly, even Dominic did not suspect anything. I'm sure that they have no idea that Dominic is watching them right now, I guess he had planted some cameras that they couldn't hack into, that is the only explanation I could come up with. They would never have let him see this, they would have found a way to hack into the computer and block him out, letting him see only what they wanted him to see. Now I understand his anger, I can see why he wants to take every rid and try to get them out of here, he knows that if he doesn't act now, it may be too late, they may take control of hi: Castle and steal it from right under his nose. His plan is to intercept the carriage and stop them from taking it back to him, he only wants to catch the men that would pick up the potions and weapons. If he could get his hands on one mole, then he can get some useful information that would point him in the right direction. Sometimes I'm forced to blame myself for all of this, I'm sure that he would never have been this calm if I wasn't here, I'm more of a distraction to him and I'm also his only weakness. That is what king Ashford is trying to confirm, he wants to see if Dominic would let me go unscathed after catching me with the potions and weapons. If he has that information, then he would come for me, he would try everything within his powers to get me, I would be the target and that is exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Harriet is busy crying her eyes out because she couldn't see her father on the screen, he could be among those that were locked away, or maybe he had been killed already because kin Ashford must have discovered that she had betrayed him and he had given the order to kill her father. I left her in Carl's arms and went off to try one more time to convince Dominic to come up with a better plan, but he wouldn't budge, he is so confident that he would catch a few of King Ashford’s mole during the delivery process, he is planning to set up a roadblock to intercept them and he is so confident that he would get them this time, but I still don't feel good about this, there is just too much at stake, my life is at stake and I hate being in this kind of situation, I just don't like it.

I was still arguing with Dominic, trying to get him to change his mind when my phone rang out and disrupted our conversation. I would have ignored it but I was standing so close to my phone and I could see the caller ID it was Graciela and there is absolutely no way that I could ignore her call because I have been waiting for this call for so long, I've been waiting for her to tell me what is going on with her, I've missed her so much. I pocket up the phone and Dominic came to stand in front of me, urging me to take the call. He seems eager to hear from her and I wondered if there is something that he isn't telling me. A part of me hopes that by some magic, Graciela would say something to disrupt these stupid plans of his. I don't know where that thought is coming from, but I just pray that something happens right now to stop this mission, I just don't feel right about it. Dominic keeps trying to assure me that everything would be fine, telling me that he would personally carry out this mission by himself, but I sill don't buy it. I think we need to sit back and think this through, we need to calm down and plan properly. King Ashford has always been one step ahead of all this while, we need to outsmart this man, we need to stop dancing around his tone, we need to stop playing his games. We just have to come up with our own plans, this time, we need to attack.

“Come on Beth, this call is so important, please pick up.” He kept urging me.
