Fenrir POV

I nearly destroyed the whole mansion when I saw the state that Lorena was in. Her body was beaten to a pulp. Blood pooled out of her body like a river and when I listened to her heartbeat, it was faint. I didn't know when I moved forward and grabbed the men holding Lorena down. I grabbed one of them by the neck and snapped his neck while I threw the other ma to the ground and bashed his head on the ground. “How dare you touch what's mine!” I growled at all of them. The servants move backward and they all fell to their knees with their heads bowed to the ground.

" How dare they touch our mate?” The monster growled in my head and looked amongst the servants. When his eyes landed on Ruth, he headed towards her and grabbed her by the throat.

“Your highness,” she cried out as my hand was wrapped tightly around her neck. “how dare you to treat my mate as if she means nothing!”

I heard her cry for help. She gasped for air as I tightened my grip around her neck. I had asked her to make Lorena suffer no to make her die so early. How dare she try to kill my mate?

“You shouldn't have touched her to the point of her death," I snapped her neck and flung her towards the slaves. They all screamed at the horrifying sight of Ruth. Her eyes were wide open and her arms were wide apart as she stared at the sky. “Unfortunately death," I spat.

“She deserves it" Draca laughed.

“Shut up!” I yelled at him and moved closer to my mate. It was sad to see her barely breathing with whips marks all over her body. It wasn't only Monster who had reacted to her pains but I could also feel it. I hated that she had to suffer all because of me. “Donna” I called for Lorena's servant. “clean this place up," I ordered her.

“Yes your highness,” she replied and quickly did as told.

I untied Lorena and carried her from the ground. She groaned out in pain and I couldn't bear to watch her In pain. I mind- linked Romeo to get the car ready as I rushed out of the laundry room while praying that she survives.

“This is all your fault,” Monster blamed me as I ran not minding her weight In my hand. With each passing second, I blamed myself for being the cause of her suffering. If I had punished her myself then maybe she wouldn't have to be in that condition.

For a time in years, my heart reacted to Lorena’s condition. It beat so hard that I thought that I was going to have a heart attack.

“Your highness!” I heard someone shouting behind me but I didn't turn. Whatever they wanted could wait. For now, Lorena was my priority. Until I make sure that she was fine, I was not going to stop for anything. When I reached the front of the mansion, Romeo was already waiting by the side of the car When he saw me, he opened the car door and I gently laid Loren on the back seat.

“What happened this time?” He asked.

I shook my head in response. “Just drive," I ordered him. I was about to enter the car when I heard the person shout my nam again, I turned around and frowned when I realized that it was Angelica.

“Your highness,” she bowed her head. “is everything alright?” She asked me.

“Everything is fine and it's nothing you should be concerned about,” I knew that I sounded rude but I couldn't help it. I was mad at myself for risking Lorena’ life. Even though she was hard to control, she didn't deserve to have her life almost ruine; ina blink of an eye.

“Should I.” Angelica tried to say something but I stopped her before she could finish. I noticed her eyes staring behind me where Lorena lay and I knew that I had to go.

“You don't have to worry about anything," I told her and entered the car. “Drive!” I ordered Romeo.

“Yes, your highness,” Romeo started the car and drove out of the mansion. “She is still standing your highness. As your futur Luna Queen, you could have told her what was happening. That way, she won't...”

“Don't patronize me Romeo and just drive!” I yelled at him.

“Control your emotions, your highness” he said. His voice sounded like a warning and also advice but at that moment, I didn't care about what he said.

Saving Lorena was my priority. “Stay out of my business with the human Romeo and drive!”

He didn't listen and continued running his mouth. “Your Highness, I am only concerned about you. What would the council ¢ elders think about you your experience with humans would only make things much worse!”

“Enough!” I yelled. “Just drive and don't get on my nerve," I warned him and that was the end of it. Although there was a sense in what he had said, that moment was not for me to decide.

Everything that had happened to Lorena wasn't because of her mouth only, it was also because of me. As soon as we reache the royal hospital, Romeo rushed in to inform the doctors to get ready for me. I hurried into the hospital with Lorena in my head. She was barely breathing as her body had become cold. Even though her blood had stopped pooling out, I feared for her life.

I feared what could happen if she died. “We will take it from here your highness” one of the doctors told me as they laid her on the stretcher. She was pushed forward while I paced around.

The same thing that happened the first time was tapping again and I hated it.

just wished that I could destroy everything around me in the blink of an eye. If I had my way, I'l wake Ruth up from the dead and kill her over and over again for hurting my mate.

“You gave her the order Fenrir,” Draca reminded me. “Stop acting as if it wasn't your fault too!”

“Yes!” I yelled at him. “I blamed myself for it and I hated how I am feeling right now,” I made him understand that I don't want her to be in danger too. “Stop blaming me for what happened!”
