I had a dream that night. No, it was a nightmare. A recurrence of my horrible past. The faces of the two men who have made life a living hell for me tormented me even in my sleep. At my lowest, the face of the man I’d just met appeared in my dreams and instead of being afraid of him, I felt the need to be closer to him knowing he’d protect me. were forced open from that blissful dream when actual sunlight and not Alpha Raze in form of it, hit my eyes. I heard the sound of someone pulling the curtains to the sides and I jumped out of bed, expecting to find myself in the gloomy room I shared with Reece back at the pack. Expecting him to hit me for waking up after him when I aboudo he off before him. “Oh good, you’re awake.” The voice and face belonged to someone other than the mate I’d only just rejected and it briefly calmed my nerves knowing I was no longer living in that nightmare. Arya smiled at me, “Did you sleep well?” I really didn’t think I would sleep as well as I did in a pack like the night walkers pack but much to my dismay, I did. “Yeah, well.” I admitted to Arya. The young maid came around me to inspect my bruises. “Your bruises are fast healing up. I’ll apply the balm again after you’ve showered and dressed up. Now hurry, you have a long day today!” Long day? What could I possibly have to do here? I was still coming to terms with my presence here and everything was overwhelming, including the man who ruled the pack who I now also dream of. “What am I doing today?” I asked. “You need to meet the pack members, Amber.” That didn’t clear up my confusion so I asked again, “Why?” Did the Alpha change his mind about not hurting me? “You will find out soon enough, Amber but staying in bed won’t do you any good.” I nodded and looked around the room realizing it was different from when I first entered it and when I slept here yesterday. There was a change in the color of the curtains to make them brighter. There was a large vanity by the wall with lots of beauty products that I have never seen or had the opportunity to use. Shopping bags of different colors, shapes and sizes also littered the floor of the room. “The room…it looks…” “Different?” Arya completed and i nodded. “There’s more.” She said and headed for the walk-in closet in the room that looked like it was large enough to contain another bed. “Come with me.” She called and I followed, curious to see what it was she wanted to show me. “Are you ready?” She grinned. The hell I was! Arya ended my misery and pulled the door open. My mouth hung open as soon as she did. I stood in a spot and watched how the world inside of the closet spun around me. It was filled up to the brim with nothing but luxury in the form of branded dresses, high-end shoes, expensive bags and jewelry. quickly to look at Arya. “Wait, does this room belong to someone else? Should I be here?” Arya laughed when there was nothing funny about all of these. Whoever owned all of these had to be the luckiest bit ch on earth. “The room belongs to you, Amber. It did from yesterday.” Arya said and I was able to put two and two together. I gasped when I realized what it meant. “Yes, Amber. Everything here belongs to you.” I couldn’t believe it. It was the craziest thing and the most impossible too. How could all of these belong to me? Just yesterday, I was banished from my pack by my father. I was helpless, bruised and battered but today I now owned expensive things? It was hard to believe. I shook my head. “That can’t be possible. I can’t possibly own all of this.” “Why? I can own these and more, Amber. You are the Alpha’s woman.” I backtracked, “The Alpha’s woman?” “I mean, his guest. You are his guest.” Arya corrected herself quickly like she had slipped the first time but somehow I didn’t believe she had slipped when she told me I was the Alpha’s woman but I chose to shake it off as something unimportant. What could be more important than this class wardrobe that it said to belong to me? “Did the Alpha get all of these for me?” I asked. “Every single thing here was handpicked by the Alpha.” Arya said admiringly. “He knew your exact size just by being with you only for a few hours.” My cheeks burned hotly at the thought. I walked further into the closet. I let my fingers graze every single piece of clothing as if their luxury will rub off on me and change the fact that I was too simple to deserve all of these. At a corner, all kinds of underwear including provocative lace lingeries in bright colors was neatly arranged. “Did the Alpha pick these out too?” Arya saw what I was pointing at and smiled suggestively. I blushed even harder because already knew the answer. “He did.” And he picked out the right sizes because I saw the numbers on the tags of the materials and they were just my size. How had he known that without being told? And why was he doing all of these for me if he was truly investigating the real reason why I was here? Would he still do all of these for me if he knew who I really was? The thought of my secret had me looking away from all of the luxury things Alpha Raze got me. They were all beautiful and I wanted them all but I wasn’t sure I could accept them. I wasn’t sure I could even feel right wearing any of them. I didn’t know if Alpha Raze was being nice to me or this was a scheme. Either way, I wasn’t going to fall for it like a fool. I’ve had my fair share of being st upid and kicked around. After showering, I was back in the room and Arya waited for me near my clothes. “They had a few holes in them but I fixed them up.” She told me as I shrugged the clothes on. “Thanks, Arya.” I really did appreciate her kindness. “Amber, use some makeup at least.” I looked in the direction of the vanity that had everything. They were no doubt expensive products too.”I shook my head. “Are you sure you want to do this? The Alpha won’t be pleased to see you like this.” Would he hit me like all of the others have done? Maybe but I’d take the blows while knowing “I’m fine, Arya.” Arya didn’t say more. “Come then, the Alpha awaits you at the dining hall.” She led the way out of the room and I followed, my heart racing as I thought of what Alpha Raze’s reaction would be when he sets his eyes on me.
