Chapter 9

Tyler.

I didn’t know how Meg was going to react to me being a wolf. After the incident earlier where I lost control mom had advised me to tell Meg the truth about my kind. Mom had said that it was not good that I continued to keep secrets from her.

So when I told her I think she didn’t believe me so I let Shane my wolf out and shifted in front if her. I let Shane took control cause he wanted to bond with our mate, but things did not go as planned. When she saw us trying to reach her she was frightened she got up and fainted immediately.

I shifted back fast and carried her to bed. I mind linked our pack doctor and he said that he will be here in minutes.

She is afraid of me. She does not love me. Am a monster to her. Shane said he was devastated that cause of him our mate fainted.

I tried to reach him and console but he had blocked me and there was nothing I could do. I started to stroke her hair and removing it from her pretty face. What have I done. What if she dies I will never be able to live without her, I was going to have to surrender my Alpha position cause I could not rule my pack without her by my side.

My wolf will weaken and eventually die and that means that I will die too. I will never have pups. Moon Goddess please take care of her. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Alpha you requested my presence.” The pack doctor Martin spoke.

“My mate fainted a while ago and has shown no sign of waking up”

“What happened before she fainted, did you argue or what.”

“No, I just show her my wolf and she was shocked and fainted. She’s human that’s why.” I told the pack doctor.

“She will be fine, let me give her an injection that will bring her back our Luna.”

Doctor Martin started to examine her. I had to control myself and let the doctor treat her. I did not want any mans hands on her except mine. She was mine and mine alone.

The doctor finished and gave her an injection, “The Luna will be okay. She just needs a lot of bed rest.” The doctor spoke as he was gathering all his things to and put them on his small briefcase.

I spent the next 30 minutes pacing up and down. It felt like hours why wasn’t she waking up. I held her hand and sat next to her on my bed. She was the most beautiful woman have ever seen in my entire life. I just love her so much. I just hope that she gets well.

I don’t know when I fall asleep but after some time I felt my mate stroking my hair. I had to pretend to be asleep so that she will continue stroking me. “Tyler I know you are awake so stop pretending and get up.”

“You got me, but I knew if you get to find out that am not asleep you will stop stocking my hair.”

“You lied to me Tyler and for that am mad at you. How could you keep that information from me and you knew that it was the biggest part of your life. Am just so scared of you right now so if you truly love me as you say please stay away from me. I need to think of what will become of this relationship.”

I had to cut her “But what about my say in this relationship. You can’t leave me I will become weak and die without you my love.” A tear rolled down my cheek.

“Am not living you I just need some space alone. I will call you when am ready to talk to you. Good night and please don’t follow or call me.”

She took her bag and left. I mind linked Norman to take her home and make sure that she was safe. She had not rejected me and I could still feel the mate bond, so that means that she was still my other half my Luna and my love forever. I will do everything to get her back to me.

I went to the mini bar that I had. I took the strongest whiskey that I could get and went to the couch in the living room and drank myself to sleep. I could not bear to go back to my room because there I could only smell her.

She’s safe. She has gone to her room but I can hear her crying. My heart broke into pieces when I heard that she is crying because of me.

Just pick two warriors to keep her safe and tell me everything that she does. I mind linked Norman. Also none of the warriors should be seen she told me to give her space man.

I went upstairs at around 1.30 am and straight to the guest bedroom I could not bring myself to go to the room that we shared with Meg for the few hours we had been together. I have really messed up big time, twice in a day.

With my bottle of whiskey in hand I fell on the bed and tried to sleep. Tomorrow I had a big meeting in my company that I could not afford to miss or I will lose billions of money. I tried to sleep but all my thoughts went back to Meg and how am going to try and win her back. I could not survive without her. If my enemies gets to know that she had left me, they will know that am weak and they can attack my pack.

I woke up the next day when I looked at my phone for time it was already 9am. I tried to get myself out of the bed but I had a server headache, I knew it was because of that whiskey that I had last night. I looked and my phone and got that there were 24 missed calls both from my mom and Norman. I decided not to call then and went straight to the bathroom and took some pills from the cabinet for my headache.

I took a quick shower and pulled on a navy blue jeans and a white t shirt and went downstairs. I had to be strong even if I was not on speaking terms with Meg. I got to the living room and found Norman and her mate and also Neville there taking breakfast, I was not in the mood to speak to anyone so I went straight to the woods. I stripped and run changing in mid air. Shane had blocked me since yesterday’s incident.

I ran until I reached the spot where I took Meg on our first date. I felt lonely being there without her but I knew I had to clear NY head first. I stayed there the whole day and felt some peace and I decided to go back to my house at around midnight. I had not taken anything to eat since yesterday lunch. I went to the my house and straight to my guest room to sleep.

I dragged myself out of the restaurant that I work in and went straight home. I was going to admit that I have been very miserable without Tyler. I missed him like I have never missed anyone in my life. I just wanted our lives to go back before the revelation that he was a wolf and not a human.

During this three weeks that I have not seen him I have been researching about the were wolves life and I have know so much. I just wanted to come to me but he had respected my wishes of him staying away from me. On many occasions I missed him until I took my phone and search for his number but lose the courage of dialing the number.

I got home and the front door was locked which was odd. My mom never closes the door until I reach home. I unlocked and entered the house and my mom was not at the living room watching so I just assumed that maybe she had gone to sleep. It was 9.40pm so I decided not to go and disturb maybe she was asleep so I locked the door and went to the kitchen for a cup of tea before I went to my room.

Twenty minutes later after taking the cup of tea I went upstairs to my room and straight to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I got back to my room and pulled on Tyler’s baggy t shirt that I took from his place. It was the only thing that was keeping me sane and makes me not to feel so lonely during the night.

I went to the window to close it but my eye caught a very big wolf and our eyes locked. I knew instantly that Tyler was the one looking at me, I could see the loneliness in his. I wanted to reach out to him but he just turned around and ran. I hopes and heart broke into a million pieces but I could not blame him because I was the one who brought this upon myself. I buried my head on my pillows and sob. I cried for hours until I could not cry anymore and slept.

I woke up the following day when my alarm went off. Today was my day off so I just continue to lay down for some time before I got up. It was finally around 8.30 that I decided to get out of bed and went downstairs for some breakfast. There was no breakfast prepared so I decided to go to my moms room to look for her but when I entered her room the bed was still with yesterday’s sheets and it was as if she had not slept there.

Right there I knew something was not right so I went back to my room grabbed my phone and dialed her number but it went straight to voice mail.

“Hello Mrs. Peterson this is Meg calling. Have you by any chance seen my mom today.” Mrs. Peterson worked with my mom.

“Hello too darling but your mom is not here. She left yesterday at around 6pm. Is there any problem with her.” She asked me.

“No, everything if fine. Have a good day Mrs. Peterson.”

“You can stop calling me Mrs. Peterson it makes me feel old. Just call me Lucy dear you also have a good day.”

I didn’t know where else to ask. My mom does not have any close relatives nearby. I dropped my phone on the table and walked out. I went to the next door and asked if they had seen my mom but none of them had seen her. I went back to the house and sat on the living room waiting for her or anything.

I sat there for some few hours and wen I checked the clock on the wall it was already 3pm. I was about to leave the living room when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and it was a new number so I decided not to receive it, but after some few seconds it rang again and I picked it up.

“Hello, is this Miss Megan Williams please.” The person said.

“Yes am Megan. To whom am I speaking to.”

“This is St Mary’s hospital am calling to inform you that your mother got involved I a car accident and was rushed here yesterday. She is in a critical condition and we don’t know if she is going to make it.”

Tears was streaming down from my eyes. How could this happen to her. I took my purse and ran straight out of our house. I got a cab that took me to the hospital and after 25 minutes I entered the hospital lobby.

“Am here to see my mother Kate Williams who was brought here yesterday when she got an accident.” I told the receptionist as my body was shaking hard.

I found the room and entered and the sight of my mom’s weak body made tears to start falling. She was attached to many machine and her face was sore and had many bruises. I wiped my tears and went towards her. I had to be strong for her because she needed my support now more than ever.

I sat on a chair that was next to her bed and held her hands. “Mom if you can hear me just know tha..” I started to cry. “That I love you so much. You are strong so I know that you will get better and will go home together. You are everything that I have you can’t leave me mom.” I told her.

Suddenly she opened her eyes and squeezed my hand and mumbled in a weak voice, “I love you too plea…” she started to cough while blood was coming out of her mouth and I panicked.

The machines started to beep in high tone and I knew something was wrong. I called the doctors and he came with few nurses. They got me outside and closed the door after what seems like five minutes I heard the doctor said “Time of death 4.10pm.” I just collapsed and saw darkness outside my mom’s ward.
