'MATE!" Loki and I reveled at the sight of our beautiful mate. I couldn't take my eyes off her. The girl's utterly drop-dead gorgeous. She had long dark brown hair that cascaded down her back way past her tiny waist. Fair, smooth looking skin. I glanced at Eleanor who was sitting beside me at the back of my car. Elijah was driving us back to my pack. My eyes wandered to stare at Eleanor’s face yet again, seemingly unable to get enough of her pretty eyes that I just realized were like sparkling rubies.

She was looking outside the window and oddly seemed to have found great interest in her fingernails. A sweat trickled down the side of her face, making me furrow my brows.

"Are you okay?” I reached my hand out to touch the skin on her back. It was then that I felt sparks of electricity travel down my spine like lightning, making me jolt back in my seat. Eleanor looked at me funny and confused.

“I should be the one asking that question, Alpha.” Damn. Even her flawlessly seductive voice was enough to fucking turn me on. Suddenly I was shocked at how one woman I just met can drive me wild and insane in one swift innocent act.

I cleared my throat and pulled on my tight shirt. My body was oddly feeling hot for absolutely no reason.

“It's because of our mate.’ Loki interrupts my thoughts and pushed his eyes against my sockets to get a closer look at our goddess mate. I forced him back inside as I took my place back in my own body.

“Enough, Loki. Don't do that again.’ I warn him. This was the first time my wolf misbehaved like this. Usually he showed no interest in the women whom I took to bed for a short time of pleasure. I shivered. All those times spending one night stands with each of them made my skin crawl, and I was suddenly feeling the regret consume me deep inside.

They were right. I should have waited for my mate. I should have stayed low. It was twisting me up I couldn't even look at Eleanor straight in the eye.

“Alex.” I managed to utter.

"What?" I can feel her gaze on my face burning my skin intensely.

“Call me Alex, from now on.” Inhaling a breath, I turned my head to gaze at her beautiful face. She seemed amused as her eyebrow had almost disappeared into her hairline.

"Okay" She said and we sat in silence throughout the whole drive back to my pack.
