First kiss

Lexi is quiet the entire trip to our pack. She stares out the window next to me in the passenger side of the four door truck. Maxon is in the back with an excited look on his face because he finally gets to go home to his own mate, Hannah. When I pull into the driveway of my house Lexi tenses a little more. My mom and dad are both on the porch along with my sister, all with huge smiles on their faces. I’m the first one out followed by Maxon and finally a very skittish looking Lexi. I walk around to her side and put a comforting arm around her waist. She remains tense but surprisingly doesn’t push me away. As we walk up to the porch Lexi is taken out of my grasp by my mother for a big hug. “Oh it’s so nice to meet you!” My mom exclaims. Lexi laughs lightly and hugs my mom back a little. The next to hug her is my sister.

“You’re so pretty!” She says. “I’m Annie by the way. Roman sister.”

“And this is my mother and father.” I laugh. “My mom has a tendency to hug people without introducing herself.”

“You can call me Lynn.” Mom tells Lexi, ignoring me.

“And I’m Greg.” Dad shakes Lexi’s hand.

“I’m Alexis but everyone calls me Lexi.” Lexi smiles.

“Oh come in come in! I made some cookies and they are just amazing! You have to try them!” Mom guides Lexi away with my sister right behind. Dad and I both laugh.

“I think I’m going to go.” Maxon says suddenly. “Can’t keep my mate waiting for too long.” He waves as he heads to the forest then shifts and disappears. Dad and I go inside and sit in the living room.

“Lexi seems nice.” Dad comments. I nod and smile.

“I haven’t really gotten to know her yet but so far she’s amazing.”

“So where exactly did you meet her?” He asks.

“She’s the daughter of Charlie Hathaway. I met her when I went to see her mother.” My dad’s eyes widen.

“That would mean she could be in a lot of danger.” I nod. “You must never leave her alone, son. The pain of losing a mate will tear you apart.”

“We need to find her father as soon as we can. Maybe then the rogues will calm down.” I suggest.

“I don’t think that will help. If anything they’ll just end up attacking the pack head on.” Dad tells me. I nod again. Just the thought of Lexi being in danger has me furious. Standing I give my dad a small smile then head towards the kitchen and my mate. The sight of her with my sister and mother has my heart swelling. Lexi had relaxed completely and looked as if she was born right into our family. Heather wasn’t lying when she said Lexi couldn’t hate anyone.

“Stealing my mate before I can ever get to know her I see.” They all turn and look at me. Lexi’s eyes brighten when she sees me.

“As your sister it’s my job to know your mate better than you.” Annie states.

“In some ways.” I agree. She giggles.

“I think you and your mate should go for a run.” Mom suggests. Lexi tenses a little and I know why. Last time she shifted she was almost taken away.

“Only if my mate wants to.” I reply. We all look to Lexi who shrinks down a little.

“Um… okay. Sure.”

“Oh good!” Mom claps. Taking Lexi’s hand I pull her outside. Thankfully none of my family follows. I start to unbutton my shirt when I notice Lexi hesitates.

“What’s wrong?” Her eyes meet mine.

“I don’t really know how to do this.” She whispers. I laugh lightly.

“Well usually we start by taking all of our clothes off so we don’t shred them but you don’t have to do that if you’re not comfortable.” She nods. “And then we just kind of find our wolf. Get in touch with them and boom! We shift.” I shrug.

“Can I go behind a tree and undress?” She asks.

“Of course.” She bolts behind a tree. I try not to look anywhere near the tree so I don’t risk seeing her naked but my eyes seem to wander there on their own. I could see snippets of her bare skin but I’d seen more last night when she first shifted. Finally after a long moment she came out in her wolf form. She was bigger than most she-wolves because of her Alpha blood but not as big and a male alpha. I smile and shift too, taking off into the woods without a thought. I hear her right behind me and soon she passes me. The whiteness of her fur glimmers in the dim sunlight and she jumps over logs and small streams. Finally she stops by the river and hides behind a tree to shift. I wait patiently after shifting myself for her to come out. Carefully she sits down next to me but I can tell she’s still uncomfortable so I jump up and find a shirt from behind a tree. Since we’re naked when we shift the pack started hiding clothes everywhere so they didn’t just have to be naked all the time. I hand it to her and she instantly slides it on. It’s way too big on her but I don’t think she minds at all. She lifts the collar to her nose and sniffs it. Then she pulls it away with a wrinkled nose.

“It doesn’t smell like you.” I can tell she didn’t mean to say that out loud by the way her cheeks redden.

“Well then I guess I’ll have to fix that.” And I kiss her. She jults in surprise but soon relaxes into me and kisses me back. My arms go around her and I pin her to the ground under me. Her lips taste like pure sugar and I savor every bit. I can feel my dick harden and remember that I’m not wearing any pants so I pull away before I’m really done tasting her. “Lets not get too carried away.” She pouts a little but hides it well. Together we shift and run back to my house. My parents and sister are gone and I can’t help but be a little worried.
