Chapter 31 

Adam’s P.O.V. 

My hatred grew towards the pair running in front of everyone, leading the pack run. I was hiding in a tree a little far from their pack borders. She was a white wolf, and I could see how magnificent she looked while running ahead with Theo. She was excoriating her powers as due to the impact of the full moon on their animals. She should have been mine but she chose to hide everything from me, and accepted my rejection so easily. 

I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth when I saw Theo playing with her while running beside her. They were playful in front of everyone, showing their love for each other to everyone. I now doubted that they were already in a relationship. before they recognized each other as mates. The question that was bothering me. too was how the king could allow them to be mates when they were related by blood? They are cousins. They can’t be each other’s mate. 

I swore that I would come back to avenge. I had to do something to make me powerful so that I could come back, and killed them for betraying me. I slowly came down from the tress as I couldn’t watch their show of affection anymore. It really hurt badly. I leaned my back on the tree, and closed my eyes. I had nowhere to go, and I was wondering here and there, keeping myself away from the rogues that I met in my way to here. In the past seven days, I faced everything that I had never even thought about that. Crystal snatched everything from me. I was hungry, and tired. I wanted to sleep, but I was afraid that I would be killed in my sleep by any rogue if they managed to find me. I decided to go to the near human city so that I could get rid of the fear of being killed by a rogue or any other pack’s warriors. Yeah…. It would be better. I… I could find a work there so that I could take care of my daily needs. A bitter smile crept on my l*ps. I was an alpha a few days ago, and now I was no better than a beggar right now. 

“Still want to see her, huh?” I immediately straightened my back, and looked around frantically when someone asked me in an amusing tone. The person. startled me to death. I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I couldn’t sense a wolf around me. 

“You don’t need to be scared of me. I am a friend… not an enemy,” he spoke again in the same tone, and I gulped hard. “Wh… Who are you? Show yourself,” I demanded while scanning the whole area. The ground was visible because of the moon light. My gaze glued in a direction when someone came out of his hiding. My eyes widened in shock when I realized that he was not a rogue but a member of any other pack. 

The person was almost six feet tall with a strong build. He had worn an expensive. black suit. “Wh… who are you?” I yelled at him while balling my fists tightly. I was ready to have a combat with him if he attacked me. “As I said earlier… I am your friend,” he answered me nonchalantly, and came in front of me. He stopped 

beside me as if he was looking towards them, not on me. Still my whole existence was on high alert. 

“You want to take revenge for what they did to you, and my boss can help you in this,” he said in a serious tone, still having his gaze locked in their direction. The man was a werewolf as I could sense his wolf. I was disgusted by his presence as he was just an omega but I suppressed my hatred towards them. 

“Your boss?” I asked him in a low tone, and he just gave me a curt nod. “Yes…. My boss… he can help you in his revenge,” he answered me briefly, and my frown deepened. “You have nowhere to go, and it’s not that easy to survive in a human city. They don’t have their animals, but they can be crueler than a feral animal,” he continued, and I pursed my l*ps into a thin line. His eyes were glued in their direction, and there was no expression on his face. 

He slowly looked at me with blank eyes. “You have two options now… One (He raised one ringer in the air)…. You accept my offer, and come with me. You will have a shelter on your head and food to fill your belly,” he continued and I just looked at him blankly, tempting to take this offer. “Two (He raised two fingers in the air this time)….. stay in the wild, and get killed by a random rogue. You can’t find even to rogue without your wolf,” the person said further but I felt that her statement was an insult for me. 

“You may be an alpha blood, but without your wolf, you are nothing but a mere human. So, it will be best to take my offer and come with me,” he tilted his head a little while giving me options. I kept on staring at him while processing what he said. His offer was a real temptation that I was having right now. Being with a pack. meant, I would have everything that could keep me content without fear.

“Will your boss accepts me in his pack, huh?” I asked him in a stern tone. He chuckled and looked down before lifting up his face one more time. “Let me clear something to you,” he said in a calm tone while keeping his gaze locked on me. “My boss will give you everything, but you will not be accepted as a pack member,” he told me, and I scoffed bitterly. “Then what is the use of me going there, huh? I may not be an alpha anymore, but I still have my graduate degree with some technical skills. I can easily get a job in human world,” I spat bitterly while answering that man.
