Chapter 35 

Theo’s P.O.V. 

“Do you really think that Alpha Nelson has something to do with my mother’s disappearance?” Crystal asked me in a low tone while lying beside me. I slid my hand under her n*eck and pulled her closer to me. 

“Yeah, my love… She was last seen there before disappearing, and two guards who disappeared with her were also from that pack. Their whereabouts are still unknown, but it couldn’t be just coincidence.” I explained, explaining why I thought that Alpha Nelson did something to her mother. 

“Don’t forget that your mother is the biggest threat to his alpha position in the pack. She could stake her claim and challenge him for the title at any time. As far as I have knowledge about her, she was a fierce warrior and the best fighter in her pack before mating with the king. Moreover, she left the pack with her mate but never withdrew her claim on the pack,” I continued while holding her gently in my embrace. 

“He killed her father, your grandfather, to get the alpha position. It was already enough for her to hold a grudge against him. No one knows what they talked about when she visited the pack for the last time,” I explained further in a calm 

tone. 

She listened to me attentively, and I could see that she agreed with my argument. “Forget about everything now, and let’s sleep. It was a hectic day today, and your are tired,” I instructed her in a loving tone, and I k*ssed her forehead. She snuggled into me and closed her eyes. Yesterday night was bliss, and I knew that I couldn’t forget that night until my last breath. 

We made love to each other three times before falling sleep. I wanted to make love to her tonight too, but she was completely exhausted after back–to–back meetings with different alphas and lunas from our neighbouring packs after finishing the alphas‘ meeting with the king.

Now I could understand why no one wanted to go away from his mate after mating with them. “And now?” she asked me while tightening her grip on my torso, and pushing her face a little up towards me. My heart started beating furiously due to the proximity between our faces now.

I didn’t know why, but I was still having this belief that he was the one behind her mother’s disappearance and her mother must be inside his pack somewhere.
