“How could you hide this from us, Crystal? You… you suffered so much an… and you hid everything from us. I… I agree th.. that I am not your biological mother, but… but,” Martha scolded Crystal while crying bitterly but Crystal cut her off before she could finish what she wanted to say.

“He paid for what he did wrong,” Alpha Adrian answered her in a bitter tone. My grip tightened on Crystal. I agree that Adam did so many things wrong, but resentment from your father is something that hit very hard. 

“Adrian…. No one is perfect… not even you… so stop resenting him now,” Martha scolded Alpha Adrian in a stern tone. Crystal chuckled, making me smile too. Only Martha could dare to scold Alpha Adrian in this way. He always treated her as his sister. 

“I am not talking about how he betrayed us, Martha. I am talking about what he did to Crystal. She… she was innocent, and he made her go through so much because of his so–called ambition,” Alpha Adrian yelled back, mocking Adam in the process, and I felt a headache coming to me. “Do you want to go out?” I asked Crystal in a worried tone through the mind link.
