There was cake. There was dancing. There were awkward speeches and many, many “k*ss… k*ss.” chants. As the night wore on, I found these things more and more tedious.

“How can we attract bees if we’re inside the bedroom?” Kora groused as I sat her on the edge of the tub while I

filled it.

“We can’t stay in here forever,” I said regretfully. “I have pack business. And you have to learn all about all your new Luna duties.

Kora made a face. “With your mother?
