“ Lily calm down, don’t go blowing the whole school apart” Eve said in a quiet stone, I looked over to her only to see that she hasn’t written anything on her answer script either.
I sighed. I should have known that Eve was never a mathematics expert, despite her sharp brain.
“Love” I look at my other side, where Alexander do sit. But since that incident, Alex has not been in school and Scott has decided to take the seat two months ago when my parents died, Sorry, I meant my fake parents. I can feel the tears that are about to gather again at the thought of the people I have loved so much, people I called my parents.
“Are you alright?” Scott asked. I don't know what made me speak but staring into Scotts dark eyes that is just about to start getting darker. My tongue was released since two months ago.
“No, I am not” My voice sounds coarse to me and my throat instantly wants to close up.
“You finally said more than one word. Hyacinth finally speak more than one word since the last two months. You finally said more than a word. Thank God” Eve said all in one breath and I can’t help smiling because Eve hasn’t called me Hyacinth since I was ten
“What does Hyacinth means?” Scotts asked, looking over at me, confused.
“ My name is Lilian Imogen”. Now I can’t help but to think whether my name is even real.
“That is obviously obvious, love”.
“Shut up and let me continue”
“ Your choice” I glanced at him and Eve continued.
“But she is usually called Lily and as you already know, there is a flower called Lily and there are different type of Lily flowers. The hyacinth is one of the most beautiful type of Lily flower because they exists in different colors, but it is also one of the wildest type of Lily flower” Eve said with pride but I can see that Scott is trying to understand everything she just said.
“ So when you call her Hyacinth, you are trying to say she is the most beautiful and at the same time the wildest?” Scott asked slowly
“ Exactly” Eve replied, I never thought you are a little bit intelligent.
“I think you are wrong about that aspect because he hasn’t written anything down”, I said.
“I am actually thinking that we should go and submit”, Scott said suggestively.
“ D…” I wasn’t able to complete my question before our supervisor interrupted me.
“Lily Imogen, Eve Badmas , Scott Eaton, Are you done?” “Yes, Sir” we replied simultaneously.
“Then submit”.
“Here Sir”, I said, giving him my scripts while both Scott and Eve also gave their scripts to him.
“Come on, let’s go Chill” Eve said in a way that is clear that what you are going to do is not near chilling at all.
“ I think this is a time to sit down and discuss everything going on” Eve said immediately we enter Scott’s house.
“Where do we even begin from?” I asked, feeling the tears pooling in my eyes again. Scott came to my side and pulled me into his embrace while Eve sat on my other side, rubbing me and whispering things I can’t even hear.
After some minutes of crying, rubbing and embracing, we fell into a comfortable silence until Scott decided to break it.
“ It was caused by you, right?”
“What are you talking about?” Eve asked in my stead.
“The day before Alexander was humiliated. The heavy rain and Thunder was caused by you when Alexander cheated on you with Cassandra” Scott said that as of he has just realized that. Wait, did I hear him right?
“How do you know that Alexander cheated on me? Because I don’t remember telling you?” I asked, looking at Scott suspiciously for a moment. Scott hesitated before he decided to talk.
“ As you already know, Supernatural sense each other when they’re near each other” Scott started.
“Wait, does that mean you can sense Hyacinth and she can also sense you” Eve asked the question that my dumb mind hasn’t thought of.
“She can sense me whenever She wants to, but I can’t sense her except when her emotions are all over the place”, Scott answered.
“ Why can’t you sense my magic and I can sense yours? But wait, I am not sensing anything right now?” I asked, feeling as if I am in a dreamland. Because for the last 15 years I have been living my life as a normal child. This all started when I lost my rainbow hand band, thinking about my hand band that was given to me by my mom makes me want to cry again.
“I said I can’t sense you love. I didn’t say I can’t sense your magic”
“What’s the difference?” Eve said totally confused.
“Now listen to me and please do not interrupt me until I’m done”, Scott said in a commanding tone and we both nod our heads in response.
“The video that showed Alexander and Joe have been sex was enveloped with magic. So I used magic to clear the illusion and I saw that it was only a sex video downloaded on YouTube and magic was used to show illusion that Alex and Joe were having sex” Scott paused for a moment before he continued.
“ Naturally, as an origin, you should have been able to control the way you want your magic known, but you are still untrained, so any little use of your magic leaves a trace”.
“So you are trying to say that you can’t sense Lily because she is an origin, but you can sense her magic because she hasn’t trained herself on how to use her magic” Eve said breaking her word that she won’t interrupt Scott
“ I should have known that you were never the obedient type bitch Anyways, that’s what I’m trying to say”, Scott replied. “Wait”
“But that doesn’t answer the question of how you know that Alexander cheated on me?” I asked Scott, still suspicious.
“ After I clear the illusion, I wonder why you would do something like that. So I followed Alex. I threatened him to tell me what happened and after he told me, I beat him up till he almost died and took him to the hospital” That explains Alex absence and Scott’s hesitancy to go to his house .
But why? I don’t understand why Scott would beats Alex up because of me. Though, It brings me pleasure that he would do something like that for me. But just then, it occurred to me. How Scott was able to hear my thoughts some months ago.
“How do you manage to read my thoughts? Two months ago when I…I… I thought it was all a bad dream” I asked Scott while noticing his every move and at the same time trying not to cry.
“As an origin, your mind has a natural block which no supernatural can bridge without your consent. But because you are still untrained, when your thoughts are loud, I can hear them” he answered me while looking at me as if I’m the only one in his small world.
“Wait, does that mean you can read my every thoughts?” Eve asked, suddenly horrified.
“Yes” Scott said, turning to look over to Eve. “But your mind works like a wind, so it hard to hold on to a thought”. I can imagine how fast Eve’s sharp mind will be moving per second.
“Thank God I …” I didn’t hear the end of her sentence again because I’m already thinking about what my mom said last before she died.
“I’m the secret key to everything my parents own, What does that mean?” I ask, looking from Scott to Eve
“ I think that means that you are the only one that has access to everything they own in this world” Eve answered.
“And I think that the people in search of the key are probably the ones that murdered your parents” Scott said.
“So does that mean that the people are going to come after me? for the key?” I asked, thinking about who those people might be.
“Probably” Eve said while thinking about something, “but they are going to come and search for the key, not knowing that you are the key” Scott said devilish
“How am I the key? Am I going to insert myself into a door and everything my parents own will be inside the door?” I had finished asking the question before I realized how stupid I sound. I should have just kept quiet.
“ You are stupid, Lily” Eve said, looking at me as if I am the stupid being she had ever seen, And perhaps I am.
“We will figure it out, love together, we will figure it out”, Scott said looking at me and I trust him. We figure it out together, we will.
“Then”
“ Then what?”
“ It’s time to train to be the hunters, not the hunted”.
