"Drrrg,drrrg,drrrg" my alarm was ringing loudly across the room waking me up. I angrily smash the alarm clock and slept off again.

" Lily, lily, if you don't get yourself up from the bed right now, there will be no chocolate bar for you today" my mum said entering into my room and in a lightening speed, I'm already in front of her( that's how much I love chocolate bars).

" Good morning mum,I will go and bath right away, then prepare for school, come down to eat and collect my..."

" Chocolate bar, I already know but why didn't your clock wake you up?" Involuntarily, I looked across the room to where the smashed alarm clock is

" What the heck?" She said startled. That's my mum for you. " You smashed your clock again, the fifth alarm clock this week"

Oh my God, I really can't believe that there is no chocolate bar for me this week, my mum is truly unpredictable. With that thought, I went to take my bath and after bath, I always choose to comb my hair because of how long it is.

After I was done preparing for school, I went downstairs to gety breakfast. I'm very sure Dad would have left for work by now.

"Mum, what are we having this morning?"

"Cornflakes" she said serving me the cornflakes with milk but I couldn't eat. " Lily, what's wrong? You are not eating, I thought you love cornflakes"

I manage to force myself to eat, then I was taken to school on her I saw my best friends already waiting for m, Eve and Alexander. Actually Alexander is also the guy I love and has been dating since grade ten. The three of us greeted one another and proceed to class with students jaws dropping and almost touching the ground.

I am the real definition of beauty, not round, not long face, fair skin, dark blue eyes, pointed nose and pink lips with the best shape and curves ever. Eve is the second most beautiful girl in the school, not dark, not fair, almost chocolate skin, with grey eyes, flat nose and pink/chocolate lips while Alexander is also the second most handsome guy in the school, tall, not too fair, not too dark skin, emerald green eyes, pointed nose with natural pink lips.

And we are the center of attention that sometimes I do wish to be born ugly.

" What do you have on your timetable?" Alex asked leaning on his locker after getting his books out.

" Alex and I have History together" Eve said interrupting me. As you may have guessed, Eve and Alex are both in the art department while I'm in science department.

"It's okay but I will miss you guys especially Alex" I said leaning forward to kiss him

Just then the bell rang " I will see you guys in the cafeteria"

" Love you sweetheart " Alex said clearly feeling displeased. He is always like whenever we are about to leave each other's company.

"Love you too, Eve take of him, of anything happens to him, you are dead. No questions asked"

"Don't worry I have been taking care of him so I will just continue" Eve said. I wonder what she meant by that anyways I bid them bye and went to physics class.

Immediately I entered, every guy started drooling except one guy SCOTT EATON who is known as the most handsome guy in the school unfortunately he is also the biggest jerk ever and a bad luck of mine is that I'm actually sitting beside him

"Wowwww, who do we have her?" He said clearing teasing me and as usual I also clearly ignore him " the most beautiful girl in Venassar high school that can't speak" and as usual, he got on my nerves

"Scott" I said turning to look at him now and honestly speaking, he is truly the definition of handsome. Tall, chocolate skin, black eyes, long and deepest blash eyelashes ans shaped and perfect eyebrows that is currently being raised at me. Maybe, just maybe, I might have light him if he wasn't the biggest jerk and sex freak of the school and I'd I don't have a boyfriend I love very much. " Today is the first day in grade twelve, I don't really have time for people like you".

" That is even if you have a heart that can be broken" I muttered and unfortunately and fortunately he heard,

At that moment, our physics teacher entered and addressed the class. "Thank God" I muttered

The day was slow with Scott disturbing in every class we have together and sometimes I do wonder how he is competing with Eve. Yes, you heard that right. Despite the fact that he is the biggest jerk ever, he is second to Eve when it comes to intelligence. I know no one can beat Eve ( that girl is a fucking genius) but I often wonderjust how thin the line of intelligence is between them.

" Finally, it's lunch hour" Eve said entering into my class" I have been dying to see you. I've got gists for you. Wait, what's wrong?"

" I'm fine"

" No, no, no, don't give me that bullshit, I know you lily, what's wrong? Did you meet Alexander on top of a girl? I swear if that's what happened, I'm gonna kill him today" She said already leaving to confront him.

" No, that's not what happened" that's Eve for you. She will assume the wost possible theory and won't bother to check if it's true before she jumps into action. " Because you don't approve of our relationship doesn't mean you can just assume anything and believe it to be true"

She opened her mouth to say something, I guess argue but she decided against it " sorry, what's wrong?"

"Everything is wrong, the day is too slow with Scott distracting me and me still feeling somewhat different"

"What do you mean by somewhat different?" Scott distracting me is not even news to Eve, see

" I don't know. I'm just feel... But don't worry it's just a feeling" I answered " Are you sure?" " Yes"

" Okay, now to the cafeteria and remind me to gist you about what happened "

" Whatever " I said following her to the cafeteria. God, I just can't wait to see Alexander.

Immediately Eve and I entered, we saw Alex sitting on our personal space already eating. I signaled to him that we want to go get our food first. Eve and I went to join the queue and instantly regretting insisting on staying in front of Eve despite her arguments my worst enemy just ended up being in front of me

" Oh my God, why now?" I muttered

" Oh darling, you are here to get your food right?" Scotted asked feigning innocence.

" I wonder how some people find it fairly easy to ask stupid questions"

He looked at me, strike that, he stared at me " where is your rainbow handband?".

"Where else wou..." I kept quiet when I realize that the handband that was given to me by my mum is gone. God, I love the fucking handband.

I inhaled sharply and aggressively. Vaguely I think I heard Eve's voice but suddenly to my surprise, I found myself turning around and I heard a voice that seems a little like mine but deeper shouting " Who dares to steal my band?"

I looked around the cafeteria, everyone is now silent. "WHO?" I shouted again and directly in front of me I was able to see my reflection and I saw something, something terrifying.

MY EYES ARE GLOWING.
