Pack Vote

She was unhappy that she had to leave her newly mated mate behind, but she had to take care of her pack and some things at the hospital. Everest would come to her pack, and they would talk with them together and have a bonfire and BBQ for everyone to get to know him.

It would be a few days before he could drive there as he had to take care of some things in his new pack himself. They all needed some time to adjust to the loss of his brother, and he had asked his beta and gamma if they would like to remain as his since they were young and not ready for retirement. They agreed to stay as his first and second in command, and he was thrilled they decided.

As the days flew by, it was time for Everest to leave for the weekend to see his beloved Lily. Everest spoke to his beta, gammas,′ and lead warrior, giving them instructions on what to do and, if they needed to contact him while he was gone, not hesitate. He would be doing computer work and responding to emails from time to time.

He wanted to be in control but knew he had to have his beta and gamma help while away. They will keep him updated on the pack and what they are doing, any unwanted visitors, fighting, or challenges among the group. If there were any challenges, he would have to be there to execute them, but the pack members must first work out any grudges or problems they have with each other; fighting is always and forever will be the last resort amongst pack members. Everest’s father ran their pack, Borson did the same with him, and Everest did the same to him until vampires and rogues.

Lily got home exhausted but happy to see her mate standing at the door, ready to greet and welcome her home. He walked down the steps, tracking over to her vehicle, and opened the door for her while taking her bags and helping her exit the car. He gave her a hug and kiss and led her into the house. She went upstairs to their room off the day’s stress and retreated downstairs.

She heard her beta and gamma talking to Everest in the kitchen while all three were watching the cooks make dinner. They headed to the dining room, where the pack members were waiting and had a seat. She sat at the head, sat on her left, and the others followed suit. They all waited for dinner to be served as the cook put spread on the table. Lily stood but put her hand out for them to remain seated; they all quieted down for her to speak. Her mere presence was commanding without saying a word to her family.

“Evening, everyone; thank you for dining with us. While I was at my sister’s and brother-in-law’s pack, I met my mate. His name is Everest Alexander. We will have a pack meeting tomorrow and explain what we hope to happen. But for now, I would like to introduce you to Everest Alexander, who replaced his brother, Alpha Borson, since he passed away. That is where I met him, and we had spent some time getting to know one another, but he is here for the weekend, and I expect that all of you will welcome him and treat him with respect.”

Everyone clapped and cheered for her and Everest. They know she is a hard-working doctor and Alpha, but they see it is taking a toll on her and wish there were something they could do to help lessen her burdens. They are now grateful that she has someone to take up those responsibilities. They could not be happier for them, but they also mind-linked the entire pack, letting them know what would transpire the next day.

Everest woke early to check and answer his emails while he let his mate sleep in for a little while. Everest has been advised that she had had a hard week at work and needed much rest. He could not wait to see her pack and his pack combined, knowing that they would have a big BBQ and bonfire when they transitioned over there, in hopes that there were new mates to be found.

The cooks were making breakfast, and he had called down asking if someone could bring them breakfast. Moments later, Lily woke up with the smell of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and French toast wafting through her bedroom. She saw her mate setting their breakfast at the table by the fireplace, roaring with a blazing fire warming up the room.

“Lil, we have only met recently, but I would love to complete the mating and be fully bonded and mated with you. I do not want you to feel like I am rushing you and want to go at your speed, but I want to let you know how I feel.”

“Everest, I would love to be fully mated and bonded to you. Would you like to do this today?

“After breakfast, my love, we will take our time, and I will make you scream my name repeatedly. Then we will nap, get up, and romp again.”

Lily could not wait as she scarfed her breakfast down, then quickly headed to the bathroom to shower, brushing her teeth and towel-drying her hair. She walked out, looking at Everest, who had an amused look on his face taking significant strides toward her, then walking into the bathroom himself and quickly showering and brushing his teeth. He did not want her to taste his morning breath, mainly after they ate. He wanted to feel fresh and clean for his mate.

He met her in the bedroom, where she was standing. He grabbed her and started kissing her lips, moving down her chin and neck, following down to her navel, finding her wet folds. He brought his arms around her waist and legs, picking her up by her thighs, wrapping her legs around his waist, and carrying her to the bed.

He placed her in the bed and crawled over her body, holding himself up by his arms, looking at her with loving eyes, and kissing her once again. They made love to each other the rest of the morning, taking a nap. She woke him up by stroking and licking his cock till he came. She kept him up by trailing kisses on his stomach and moving her lips and tongue to his mouth. They went for a few more rounds of making love resting in between each round. Once they were satisfied for the time being, they got their showers and then headed for the pack meeting.

Lily walked up on the stage, looking pleased that her entire pack had come out to meet Everest if they had not done so already. He stood by her side, holding each of her hands. She stood there, commanding the attention of her members without saying a word. When everyone gave her their attention by showing their neck to her out of respect, she started to speak to the crowd.

“Thank you for attending the meeting; I know you all are hungry. First, many of you have not met my mate, Alpha Everest Alexander. He took over his brother’s pack after the passing of Borson due to cancer. The reason for this meeting is that we are going to combine groups.

There were groans, eye rolls, and shaking of heads from those who did not want to combine packs. Please hear me out, we are a small pack, and his group is substantially larger. There have been many attacks from vampires and rogues, and combining our groups would increase our strength and numbers. This will increase the chances for those who have not found their fated mates or even second-chance mates. We will take a vote as a pack on what to do.

“All in favor of moving our pack to Alpha Everest’s; raise your hand. Good, those that are not in favor raise yours. Much of the pack has spoken and will move at the end of the month, this will give everyone time to purge their belongings and pack, plus it gives our new Alpha time to build some more homes on his land.” She stated and stepped away from the microphone letting Everest speak next.

“I am allowing you to visit my pack and see where you would like to build your home, rent a house, or rent an apartment. We will have blueprints you may choose from, and we will sit down and go over the plans, materials, and everything else. I have carpenters there, but please help build your home.”

When those who did not want to move found out it was to be the end of the month, they were more than willing to move too. Everest returned to his pack the following day, told his people what would happen, and explained everything. They were all too excited, especially the unmated pack members.

The month flew by, and everyone in Lily’s pack had come to pick out their homes and where they wanted to place them. The men worked day and night to ensure everyone had a home to move in. Lily’s pack was surprised to see their homes were built and fully finished. All they had to do was move their items in.

When the dust settled, there was a pack meeting, induction for the new members, and a BBQ so everyone could get to know one another. Time flew by, and some challenges happened between pack members, but it was due to mates rather than upper positions. Everest had set up various levels of training and who would work to lead the warriors. He wanted to ensure that everyone participated in training as he wanted them to know how to protect themselves. They even trained to put out forest and house fires.

More cubs and pups were born three years later, new families formed, and businesses opened. Lily had been feeling sick and knew she was pregnant but had not told Everest yet. She made a special dinner in their home, lit some candles, and ran a hot bath for them. Everest came in; looking around his home, he saw the dinner table set, but she was nowhere in sight. He picks up a note telling him where to find her.

“Welcome home, darling; please join me in the tub, won’t you?”

“Darling, what is the occasion?”

“Just want to spend some much-needed quality time with my husband, of course, and to celebrate our anniversary.”

“Well, I know what I can get you, and I will do it tonight all night long.”

“Hmm, what is that, my love?”

“You will have to wait and see; let us soak our tired muscles because they will get a much-needed workout.” He laughed

They soaked and bathed each other while having some hard-core sex. Afterward, they ate dinner, and Lily grabbed a box from the bedroom, setting it down on the table where Everest sits to eat. He had cleaned the dishes and table, and when he got done, he turned around and walked over to her.

“What is this, darling?”

“It is your anniversary present, go ahead and open it up and see what it is.”

“What did you get me? Oh my goodness! The world’s best father? Daddy’s favorite? Little booties? Darling, I cannot fit in these.” He said, laughing.

She watched as it all sunk in when his eyes went wide, and he became speechless; tears started to well up in his big brown eyes as he looked lovingly at his wife standing before him. He dropped onto his knees, kissing her belly, which was starting to show a little bump. She also started crying happy tears, knowing that this was the best present she could ever give him and he could give her. He talked to his cubs, telling them he could not wait to meet them, hurry up, and finish cooking as he was too excited to meet them.
