Steven and Lane

A year later, Bennett left Seattle to head to Alaska, where Ramiel lived with the other shifters. They had stayed connected through the year, and Ramiel met Bennett in Canada so that he could shift into his polar bear. He was amazed at how white he was and that he could talk to him.

“Colin, what year are you?”

“First year, but plan to graduate in three years or less. What is your major?” Slurring her words.

Bennett thought that was why he was on edge, but something was wrong. He could feel it in his bones. He shrugged it off for now, ignored it for the rest of the day, and focused on his schoolwork.
