“Oh, come back early,” Gwendolyn said, her eyes filled with hope as she gazed at him. 

Howard paused. There was a chance he wouldn’t return at all tonight. 

The next day, Cliff, the chauffeur, parked his car outside the quaint courtyard, ready to pick up Howard and drive him back to Bayridge City. 

Nicolette held Gwendolyn’s hand and repeatedly urged her to take good care of herself and to be sensible. 

“Grandma, I’ll visit you whenever I get a chance. With Violet here, I’ll have peace of mind. And if the Sawyer family comes knocking, don’t give them the time of day,” Gwendolyn instructed. 

Howard had arranged for a female bodyguard, Violet, to stay with Nicolette, ensuring her safety, which comforted Gwendolyn a little. 

She glanced at the brick house next door. Enoch had said there was no need to say goodbye when she left.

Nathan cursed on the other end. “I’m on it! That little bastard dares to mess with Jeannie!” After hanging up, Howard instructed Cliff. “Turn around. We’re going to the West Street Bar.” 

Howard and Gwendolyn arrived ahead of time, with Cliff closely at their side. 

“The Chadwick family wimps are here!” someone shouted in the bar. 

In the center of the main room, Jeannie was held on a couch, drunk and disheveled. Jimmy’s hand was on her chest, acting brazenly. The spoiled brats around him egged him on. “Hey, bro, how’s the taste of Howard’s sister?” 

“Great! Top–notch!” Jimmy retorted from his spot on the couch, his short stature making him look unimpressive. 

He jeered at Howard. “A cripple like him has the guts to show up! Boys, look at the beautiful wife beside him! I wonder who tastes better, his sister or his wife?” 

His words were crude and vile. 

His cronies kept egging him on. “Why don’t you take them both tonight, Jimmy? Then you’ll know who’s better!” 

“Hahaha,” Jimmy was bloated with arrogance. 

He sneered, “Howard, get on your knees, and I’ll let your sister go! Otherwise, I’ll get into her right before you!” 

Bainbridge had set the task to capture the humiliating scene on video and spread it among the elite circles, showing them how low Howard had fallen.
