Sandra pulled out some takeout and harded Gwendolyn a steaming cup
“You don’t do bitter, this one’s sweet and rich,” Sandra murmured gently, as she ordered herself an iced Americano. Ripping off the lid, she took a big gulp.
Gwendolyn cradle the warm caramel macchiato and studied Sandra’s face
“Sandra, you’ve got some serious bags under your eyes. Haven’t been sleeping well lately?” She recalled calling Sandra the night before, and it seemed her dog was causing a ruckus again.
“Yeah, I’m a bit worn out,” Sandra admitted, smacking her lips.
She shouldn’t have suggested they go to her place that night.

“Modest! Why be modest about something like that? You looked like you were enjoying it. Did you use protection?”

Caught up in the moment, contraception had slipped her mind.
