Things are so much easier with Lana in the secret. She changed our looks with a spell. She even gave a potion to Selina for her hair to grow faster as she said she was missing it and I have to say she’s even more beautiful now. I’m keeping the same appearance while Selina likes to change almost at every mission. We aren’t sensible to the spell so I only see Selina, not her fake appearance, except if I see her in a mirror. I have to say it’s still a shock every time I’m looking at me in a mirror.

“Stop to look at you, narcissi!” Selina teases me.

“I can’t help but be surprised every time. How is it not bothering you not to see your face in the mirror?” I ask.

“I find that funny to be able to change my look every time I want. It’s like giant nail polish!”

I laugh.

“Why Nail polish?”

“There are hundreds of colors and you can change whenever you want. So it’s the same.”

“You’re crazy!” I mock her.

She shugs.

“At least, I didn’t scream like a damsel in distress when I see me in the mirror.” She sasses.

“Hey! I didn’t scream like a damsel! It happened only once and I was still half sleeping!” I defend myself.

“If it helps you to sleep at night, good for you!” She teases me.

"She’s right you did scream like a damsel in distress!" My wolf mocks me too.

"Shut up!" I reply.

“Are you going out dress like that?” I ask her.

She is wearing a very revealing red dress and she is hot and sexy as fuck.

“Yes, why?”

“Don’t you think you’re showing too much?” I ask her, I don’t like the idea of other men lusting at her.

"I know! Nobody, except us, should see her like this." My wolf growls in agreement. We both feel possessive about her even if we shouldn’t. We can’t help it.

“We need to find that Vampire who is drinking and killing young women. Dress like that I’m the perfect target.” She replies making a good point.

“And it’s not as if someone will fancy me.” She whispers so low that I almost didn’t hear it. Almost.

“What did you just say?” I ask.

“Nothing!” She replies quickly, surprised that I heard her.

“Selina, Look at!” I order her using my alpha voice even if I know it’s not affecting her but at least she knows I’m serious.

She looks me in the eyes with her big beautiful eyes that make me melt every time. Goddess, She is so tempting and she doesn’t even notice it.

“You know you’re the most incredible and beautiful woman I have ever met. You’re smart, kind-hearted, strong and sexy as hell.”

“Still, you don’t want me.” She says sadness in her voice.

"It's not that. It's complicated. Us together, it's wrong and you know it."

"Tell me what's wrong with me?" She pleads.

"You're Noah's mate. He is my cousin and he used to be my best friend. I can't betray him like that. Every time I want to kiss you, every time I desire you, when I'm feeling possessive, my guilt is eating me alive!"

"He rejected me! And if what you just say is true then we both want that. Nothing is wrong here!" She protests.

"Everything is wrong here! I will not be able to live with myself if we are together. The guilt will be too heavy. Every time I think about you in an inappropriate way, Noah flashes in my mind! You're too much for me!"

She doesn't reply. She takes her bag and leaves our room. I'm following her in the entry as she puts her coat.

"Don't follow me!" She orders, crying. And I have no choice than to see her leaving as my feet are stuck by her order. It's the first time she orders me.

"Fuck!" I scream punching the wall and making a hole.

It has bee two days since our fight and Selina didn't come yet. Her phone is off as she didn't receive my many messages and calls, or maybe she blocked my number. I don't know... My wolf and I are really worried now, reckless even. I need to make sure she is alright. I need to call for help: Lana. If she doesn't know where she is, she will be able to help me to localize her

"Hey Tom, How are you?" Asher says.

"Hey, Asher? What are you doing with Lana's phone." I ask surprised.

"She is busy now but when I saw your name on the screen, I hang up." It feels he wants to say more. What is it stopping him?

"Look, I had a fight with Selina two days ago and she didn't come home yet. She ignored my messages and my calls. I'm really worried."

"Yeah, her phone is dead and she didn't have time to buy a new one." He says.

"So you know where she is?"

"Yes, no. She is here." He groans.

"Can I speak to her?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Maybe she doesn't want to speak to us?" I ask my wolf.

"Maybe but he's acting weird. Something happened for sure. I don't like that." He replies.

"Hm..." He replies

"What's going on?" I ask annoyed.

"There was an incident two nights ago."

"With the mission?"

"No. Look you should come. We're at Lana's place."

"I'm on my way."

I'm in Lana's house for twenty minutes now and they explained to me what happened. It was a difficult discussion and it took me some time to understand that Selina had ordered them to not speak about that. The good thing is they have no right to speak directly about that but they were able to subvert the order by answering my question. Someone tried to mark forcefully Selina again. Asher blocked him before he was able to mark her and kill himself at the same time.

"How was he able to recognize her?" I ask Lana.

"He was able to see through my spell with means the witch who did the potion is really powerful, like part of the most powerful witches in the world. Only a few witches can create a love potion fixed on the soul and not on the appearance. "

"Like all the Warren family. Noah could do it easily." I confirm.

"Do you really think he is behind that? I mean she is his mate. Rejection is one thing but wanted to destroy her, it's another level." Asher says.

"He's the one who drugged me. The fake Selina, we felt it right away. For him, it was him. My wolf recognized our Blood link."

"Still, what kind of monster does that to his mate? What's the point?" He says.

"To remove her for her rightful position."

"So that means the Lycan, working with him, is a potential substitute?" Lana asks.

"I don't know. Maybe. I just know we can't let that happen."

They both agree.

"You know, it's one of her friends. Elijah, do you know him?" Lana asks.

"Just by name. He's the son of Queen Anna-Lynn's Right hand and he's a Tiger shifter. I know he's a close friend of Selina but we never met."

"Can I see him?" I add after a few minutes of silence.

"He is sleeping and he will for a while. I drugged his food. I couldn't take anymore all the hateful things he was saying about Selina." Asher replies.

"I can't imagine how hurt she is!" I say to my wolf.

"I know we need to see her. Now!"

"Where is she?"

They don't reply, fucking order! Lana smiles and opens a portal for me.

"Thank you!" I tell her gratefully.

I nod and pass through the portal. I shift as I will be able to follow Selina's smell easier in my wolf form. After 5 minutes, I finally see her. She is only wearing a man's shirt but it's so long that it's a dress for her. Her hair is attached in a messy bun and her eyes and nose are red. Goddess even like that she is perfect. You have to be blind to not see that.

"Tom..." She whispers when she sees me.

I run the last meters that separate us and shift back. I don't care I nake in front of her.

I caress her cheek: "You're so breathtaking. My heart stops every time I see you. And it's beating wildly every time you look at me. It's never beat like that for somebody else."

I can't fight it anymore. I don't want to fight it anymore.

"What?" She asks surprised by my confession.

"Fuck you, Noah! If you're too stupid to see what you're losing, I will not." My wolf says.

"Yeah, fuck you, Noah." I agree with him.

"Those lips are so tempting that it's driving me crazy!" I say before kissing her.

I took her by surprise but soon she is kissing me back, crossing her arms behind my neck. I put everything in this kiss, my love, my desire. Things escalate quickly and we are now making out. I break the kiss.

"We should stop now and I will not be able to stop myself."

"I don't want to." She puts and she's so damn cute.

"It will be your first time. It needs to be perfect!”

“It’s with you, it will be perfect.” She says kissing me again.

“Do you think it’s a good idea now, after what happened with Elijah?” I ask when I succeed to stop kissing her.

“It’s exactly what I need!” She replies exasperatedly.

“Maybe we should wait.”

“For once, I just want to feel love and desire for me not for what I’m. I need someone to show me that I’m lovable, please!” She pleads with her beautiful big eyes. I can’t say no to her.

“Then, let me show you. I will just have to be soft for your first.” I say pecking her lips.

“I don’t want you to be soft!” She says biting my lower lip.

Damn this angel will be the death of me. And it’s so good!
