(Selina)

It has been 23 days since my fight with Noah and ever since I didn’t see him, not even once. Why I’m counting the days??? What’s wrong with me?! It was what I wanted, no? If it’s true why I kind of miss him? That doesn’t make any sense. I don’t know why I feel so... I don’t know, frustrated? Is it because of the mate pull? This is so disturbing! I can’t even stay focus on anything.

“Are you listen to me?” Tom asks me.

“Yeah...”

“Where are you? Because your mind is not here with me. You’re lucky it’s just training or you would have died at least five times already.”

“Sorry, It’s just not my day.” I reply.

“It’s not your day for a few days now. You want to tell me what’s in your mind?”

“It’s just Noah. I didn’t see him for 3 weeks.”

“So you’re missing him, princess!” Tom smirks.

“You wish Thomas!”

He laughs before to say: “Look Selina it’s your life, not mine. You asked him to leave you alone. You’re complaining about him for months. Now, You have what you asked for you should be happy or relieved.”

I didn’t expect him to be so serious.

“Well, I don’t feel happy or relieved either. Why this is so fucked up?!” I groan.

“What do you really want Selina?”

“I don’t know.” I reply putting my head in my hands.

“Answer me honestly: Do you see yourself be mated with someone else.”

“Well, I already thought that once but it was with you. Except you or him, no I never imagined myself to be mated to someone else. I spent so much time waiting for him, yearning for his attention and his love. I was my prince... And I was his nothing.”

“I know he hurt you but you can’t stay angry against him like that. It’s not healthy.”

“I’m not angry against him anymore, he’s just not trustworthy.”

“How can you be so sure as you don’t let him prove himself.”

“Are you on my side or on his side?” I ask, feeling offended.

“I’m on nobody’s side. And if I have to choose, you know I will choose you. It’s just I want you to be happy and right now it’s obvious you’re not. You should think about that. Don’t let your pride destroy your happiness.”

“I will think about that oh so wise Thomas!” I reply jokingly wanted to broke that heavy atmosphere.

“I’m serious Selina.”

“I know.” I nod.

“Can we start training again, please? I will be more focus now.” I add.

“Yes, I’m meeting Emily in an hour so we can train for a little while.” He replies.

“Ready to have your ass kicked?” I ask taking a defensive posture.

“You’re dreaming princess.” He replies smirking.

Something is really not right, I’m so restless that I didn’t sleep at all! I don’t know what’s going one but I think Noah is in trouble. If he is able to feel when I’m in trouble, I don’t see why I wouldn’t feel the same. I need to make sure he’s alright but he’s not answering his phone. Actually his phone is turned off, this is why I decided to go check on him. I wanted to check on his place but my instincts tell me to go directly to his parents’ house.

“What are you doing here Selina?”

“Hi aunt Meli, I was trying to call Noah but I can’t reach him. I just want to make sure he is alright.”

“Don’t you think you don’t have done enough yet?” She says dryly and now that I’m looking more closer to her I can see her eyes are red.

“What’s wrong? Where is Noah?” I ask even more worried.

“You asked him to leave you alone so you have no right to come here.” She says.

“Sweetcheeks, please. Don’t you see she is worried sick.” Uncle Al says coming out.

“What’s wrong? Where is Noah? I need to see him!” I tell him.

“It’s not possible for now, sorry sweetie.” He replies.

“I know he is here, I can feel him! Let me see him!” I say at the verve to turn.

“Calm down little girl! He’s not in the state to see you!” He says his eyes turning black.

“Why? What happened to him?” I’m so worried.

Alistair sighs but before he can reply Melinda answers: ” He works so hard to forget how you broke his heart that he drew all his energy. So much that he’s hardly able to breathe alone!” Her eyes are full of tears at the end.

“What?! Is it going to be okay.”

“Don’t you get it! He is not okay and it’s all your fault!” She yells at me.

“Sweetcheeks! Go rest, you need it.” Alistair tells her caressing her arms. She nods and leaves.

“You will not leave until you saw him, don’t you?”Alistair asks me once Melinda closed the house’s door.

“ I need to see him.” I confirm.

He sighs: “He is in the hospital and this is where I’m going now. Do you want to come?”

“Yes, please.” I’m relieved that he is not as angry at me as Melinda is.

I’m so shocked after seeing Noah. He looks so pale and so weak that it’s scary. He is under oxygen even if he can breathe alone. I’m sitting outside his room and I’m totally lost. I’m feeling so sorrowful no wonder why Melinda is so pissed against me.

“You’re okay sweetie?” Alistair asks me, coming out of Noah’s room.

“What happened exactly?” I ask instead of answering his question.

“He works too hard too long. I don’t know if you know but as his mother, he is using his magic mainly to protect and save Mother Earth. In the last few days, he was working on a very polluted site. He used too much of his energy in one time. Now he is in a comatose step until his battery recharge itself.”

“How long will he be in the coma?”

“We don’t know. It could be months. Nobody went that far in using all his energy so we aren’t sure.”

“But he will wake up?”

“Yes, he will some days.”

“That seems far...”

“Why are you here Selina?”

“I don’t know.”

“You know that you have to let your mate bond open to feel if the other one is in danger. You came because you felt it so it means that you let your bond opened while it used to be closed. So do you really want?”

“I don’t know!”

“My mate wants to find Noah’s werewolf’s mate.”

“Maybe it’s for the best.” I shrug.

“Give me a reason to stop her.”

“I can’t. Noah deserved to be happy and I can’t offer that to him.”

“Why?”

“Because I can’t fall for him.”

“So the idea of your mate with another woman, marked and mated doesn’t bother you?”

He already knows the answer, he saw a few minutes ago in my face but he wants me to say it out loud.

“Of course it does but I can’t offer him happiness.”

He has a short laugh without any humor: “He will never be happy without you. Neither will you.”

“I can’t fall for him.”

“No. But there is a way, though it will be painful for you. It’s a spell to share your vital energy with him.” Melinda explains.

“He will wake you sooner?” I ask.

“Yes in a few days.” She replies.

“Then do it.”
