“I called Carl to ask about it. He told me you were checking the surveillance. Kay, what happened today was just an accident. You don’t have to worry so much,” Eduard comforted her.
Mikayla replied, “I just wanted to be sure. It was too much of a coincidence. Those two motorcyclists almost hit us.”
“Grandpa, what are you both talking about?
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Jerome’s voice coming from Eduard’s phone.
Eduard then raised his phone toward her and said, “Kay, let’s talk inside. Jerome happened to send me a video call. You should talk to him.”
Looking at Jerome’s calm face on the phone, Mikayla inexplicably recalled the embarrassing incident in
which she mistakenly answered his video call while changing clothes.
“No, Grandpa.” She exited the room. “I’m a little tired, so I’ll rest in my room.”
She had nothing to say with Jerome. When she returned to her room, she called Taylor.
“Hello, my lovely Ms. Davidson! You’ve been calling me a lot lately. Do you miss me?” he asked playfully.
Mikayla rolled her eyes and asked, “You know many people in Marisville, right?”
“Why are you interested in my social circle?” Taylor raised a fuss. “I did know some. But with your current status, I can’t introduce you to them.”
She retorted, “Is my status important? You’ve never been concerned with such a trifle.”
Taylor choked. He didn’t expect Mikayla to answer him like this.
She swiftly kept him from playing around, asking him if he could find a person’s information based on the blurry footage.
He was still in a bad mood after he had gotten her retort. “Nobody can compare to your husband in terms
of power in Marisville, You should ask for his help instead of mine.”
Mikayla would never ask Jerome for help. She had decided not to be involved with him until she got her

to Kylie.
She asked Taylor another question, “Have Kylie’s people signed the contract?”
He replied nonchalantly, “They believed us and agreed to sign it in a few days.”
Mikayla suggested, “If a man named Jensen Moss contacts your people, ask them to give him some
benefits.”
Taylor immediately realized Mikayla’s intention. “Are you trying to start an infighting?”
“Yes.”
Before that, she had planned to gain more trust from Jensen and make a move on him. But it was no
longer necessary.
Since he was greedy for money and fame, she could tempt him with those. She didn’t need to take a long-
term plan.
To expose Kylie’s true colors, she needed a helper like Jensen.
Taylor might have thought of something fun. He readily agreed with Mikayla and promised to carry it out perfectly.
