“I don’t have much feelings for Mikayla. I just feel bad for neglecting her in our marriage. If we aren’t getting divorced, I would try to be a better husband. But since she insists on divorcing, I’ll sign the papers, 

Jerome sald. 

“As for what you mentioned about trying to win her back in the future, I don’t think that will happen,” he added. 

Hearing this, Wanda put away her crane and sighed helplessly. Jerome was excellent in every aspect, but he was too arrogant.

Jerome had nothing to say. 

In the evening, Mikayla accompanied Wanda for a walk in the courtyard while chatting and laughing. 

The Miller Manor was situated on a large piece of land. Not only was the backyard garden magnificent

The birthday banquet would be held here. Many maids were busy with some finishing touches.

As they were inspecting the set up, a voice sounded from not far away. 

Mikayla turned to see that it was Zachary who had come over.

Zachary didn’t refute Wanda’s words. He nodded and walked into the house.

“Don’t mind him. The Miller Group has grown stronger and larger under his leadership. He created many business opportunities, but it has also led to his arrogant and self–centered attitude,” Wanda said, 

She continued, “Because of this, he had many quarrels and fights with Camilles. In the end, she left the country with Riley not long after she was born.” 

This was the first time Mikayla had heard Wanda mention the conflict between Jerome’s parents. 

“Although they are abroad now, Camille hasn’t forgiven him.” Wanda shook her head. “Their marriage has also made Jerome lose confidence in marriages. Kay, Jerome married you willingly, do you understand?”

She checked it and saw that it was a call from Eduard. 

Eduard knew she was at the Miller’s Manor, so he wouldn’t call unless something happened. 

She suddenly felt uneasy. She informed Wanda and went to the side to answer the call. 

“Grandpa, what’s wrong?” Mikayla asked anxiously.
