“Stop” Kaydos yelled at the officer so it was stopped just 2 seconds from firing Destron.

The whole command center relived when they heard Kaydos giving the order to stop firing.

“Lord Kaydos, what’s wrong?” said one of the army generals.

“He wanted us to do this” said Kaydos firmly.

“H-how did you know that, my lord?”

“Must be spy around here or even spies” said Kaydos and the generals were looking at him amazed not having an idea what Kaydos was talking about. “We will taking him down by our regular arsenal…just keep firing” said Kaydos.

“Yes sir” they said without having an argument with their king, so they went to do their jobs leaving him with a conclusion that shocked him and made him rethink about everything. And that conclusion was: Kaydos plans was exposed.

Kaydos remembered that the attack came after the conversation he had with Rad earlier, so he thought that Manod was spying on him all the time. Despite it was just a possibility but it was logically convincing.

The possibility of having spies on the ship was a terrifying thought to Kaydos.

“But I was alone with Rad when I mentioned my real plan…and Manod don’t have the telepathy abilities to contact with Rad to plan something, and Rad will never contact with him neither” Kaydos said to himself.

Kaydos ordered to make a massive search in the ship for any surveillance equipment even he ordered to search the generals and ministers around him, but nothing was found, he even searched the royal room but nothing was found.

The doubt was killing Kaydos that there is a spy in the ship before he calmed down after no equipment was found, but suddenly a terrifying thought struck in his head like a lightning bolt, more terrifying than the spies and the spying equipment.

“Could be that Manod himself was spying on me? But how? Could he own this powers? But Manod race don’t have this ability…but he can gain such powers with the spirit training but it must took him ages to achieve this…damn Manod” Kaydos was talking to himself that someone near him could partially be able to listen.

Meanwhile…

“I didn’t expect to be this smart, Kaydos…you concluded all this with only having the tip of the threads without having real information…I’d not expecting something less” said Manod as he was listening to him thinking.

Manod was in the command center when he ordered to cancel the teleport preparations which is was planned to use it when Destron is used to attack Kaydos from a point-blank range without any troubles.

Kingdom of Terra never had this piece of information that Phoenix kingdom’s scientists had found a way to teleport.

“My lord” said one of Manod’s men after he kneeled before him.

“What is it?” said Manod aggressively as he was trying to think of new tactics.

“Here the reports my lord” he said then left.

It was a report about the condition of the ship which was older, heavier and have less technologies than Terra’s ship but it has a stronger shield which was doing great against the rain of fire from Terra’s ship. The report has shown that the shield was only damaged by 7% and he saw through Kaydos’s eyes that his ship received 25% damage until now despite their attacks wasn’t as heavy as Terra’s.

Phoenix kingdom was developing rapidly lately to fulfil Manod’s expansion wishes and have control over dwarf galaxies near his kingdom to gain a strategic depth against Terra kingdom therefore the engines were upgraded to make the ship thrust to reach speeds to cross the whole galaxy in 30 minutes and the ship’s body was upgraded to adapt with this change.

Despite that Rad is a great fighter and his overwhelming abilities to manipulate cosmic energy that he earned it through countless years of training and battles but he never was a clever politician, his ego and arrogance stopped him from building a friendship with Manod to have a chance to spy on his kingdom activities. Because of this Kaydos was in a lot of trouble, everything Kaydos was seeing, listening, or saying was under Manod’s watching which made Manod to have the upper hand in this battle that Kaydos unintentionally started, war he never wanted to fight but his mistake led him to face two angry and incredibly strong kings and one of them was hitting him with everything.

It was a short time, but Kaydos’s rule seems to be unstable and full of crises and conspiracies.
