North’s P.O.V

I guess I can understand why no one told us, they wanted us to develop feelings without feeling forced. I swallowed hard and looked at Constance, no one could deny that she was beautiful, I scanned her whole appearance, yes she was beautiful beyond compare. She then spoke in a quiet tone, “So.....” I chuckled at her nervousness.

“I think we should take things slow, like really slow” I suggested, she nodded and said, “We should do it step by step, friends, then maybe something more” I nodded and said, “Yeah, I’d like that” I agreed.

If I was being honest with myself, I wanted to be more than friends with her, maybe it was my wolf side, or the mate bond, or just me. Either way, I liked the girl that sat next to me, I just hoped that someday she would feel the same.

I was thankful she wasn’t human and had no clue what I was or the world I was involved in, it made things easier and better than she knew me as both a wolf and a man.

“Boy” Shut up.

After the whole thing with Miah, Constance, and the whole mate thing, Constance and I decided that if we are going to be ‘friends’ that we should get to know each other, like on a personal level.

We went back up to my room and right when I closed the door, she started asking questions, “So North, what are you like?” I chuckled and turned to her, “That’s a very specific question Conny” I smirked and sat next to her on my bed.

“Conny?” she questioned looking at me with a wide smile, I shrugged and said, “Constance is too long, and since we are going to be ‘friends’ nicknames might be a good start”. She smiled and nodded, “I like it”.

This version of Constance was very different from the girl I met only yesterday, this one was softer and more open to showing weakness and emotion rather than block it off with defense jokes.

I nodded and said, “Going back to your question, um, I don’t really know what I’m like, I lost most of my memory in my first shift” her face turned sad and she frowned looking towards me, “It’s ok though, makes starting over easier” she nodded, still looking sad.

I sat up and said, “What I have discovered over these past few days in my new life, is, I’m sarcastic, defensive, and I have my guard up most of the time” she nodded with a smile and said, “Good to know, but I want to know more, like hobbies, favorite color, sport, all that stuff”.

She begged me with her eyes which made me laugh lightly, then said, “Well, I find myself liking the color green, from what I have been told I was on a soccer team, I believe that’s pretty much it” she nodded then said laying down, which I soon followed.

“My favorite colors are blue and green, I like soccer based on what I know about it, I’m demanding, defensive and I hardly get personal with anyone” she explained with a smile, I nodded and said, “Good to know”.

Then I said, “I know I don’t have much to tell, sorry” she looked at me and said with a smile, “it’s perfectly fine North, the beauty of a relationship is learning those things about each other” I hummed in response, then we sat in silence.

“To fill up the air, I’ll tell you more about me” she spoke, I nodded turning to her, “I love music, any type, I like animals, I hate the color pink, and I’m very ticklish” I chuckled and then said turning over, “Let’s test that shall we?“.

Then I jumped on her and tickled her sides, she screamed out laughing and fell trying to push my hands away. I laughed along with her, “NORTH!!” she laughed out shoving at my hands but I refused to move them, then somehow she flipped us other so she was on top, holding my wrist.

Soon our laughter died down and we just stared at each other, our noses inches apart, we both began to lean in, not caring about anything around us. Then I heard a knock at the door, and Miah’s voice echoes into the room, “Guys, dinner will be ready soon!“, I’ve never hated her more than I do now.

Conny looked behind her, then back to me, she climbed off of me and looked away with red cheeks, I smiled at how cute she looked. She then turned back and looked at me, a devious smile appeared on her face, I looked at her with a confused stare, then she placed a quick kiss on my cheek.

I froze and my cheeks heated up, she giggled then she jumped off my bed and ran out the door, I laughed and shook my head. I waited five minutes, then I jumped off the bed and ran after her, amazed by my new found strength.

I was down the stairs and following her sent out the door within two seconds, I guess it was in my nature that when something you wanted ran, you chased. She was running in the field behind the house, she turned around and laughed when she saw me chasing her.

I pushed myself and ran as fast as my new strength would let me, soon, I was only a few feet behind her. When I finally caught up to her, I wrap my arms around her waist and yanked her back, she screamed out and laughed as I spun her around.

To think only yesterday she was flipping me off and calling me wolf boy.

Constance’s P.O.V

I ran out the door as quick as my body would let me, I knew kissing his cheek would make him chase me, and it didn’t help that he was a werewolf, let along a Lycan.

At first, I was scared to have him as my mate, yes I do like werewolves but having one as a mate? I heard from the female pack members that werewolves can get very possessive of their mates but I knew North wouldn’t be like that.

He was different from the others, he hasn’t raised a wolf, he was forced into this life, he would be different. I was happy he understood, but I can’t believe we almost kissed back there when Miah interrupted I was tempted to rip her head off.

I heard pounding footsteps from behind me as I ran into the field, I knew it was him and I wasn’t afraid, I looked behind me and saw him coming right up behind me. I laughed and kept running as fast as I could. But he would always be faster.

I screamed out when his arms wrapped around my waist, he yanked me back and spun us around, I laughed and kicked my legs around.

Then he set me down and

I grabbed his hands and started spinning us both around,

I know this sounds childish, but to me this was everything.
