North’s P.O.V

I was dragged inside by Connor as soon as he saw my face, he shoved me into his office like a rag doll and glared at me with nothing but anger in his eyes. But I didn’t glare back, now that I knew the truth about what happened to him.

“What did the devil witch say to you??!!” he demanded with the volume of his voice shaking the whole room completely. I didn’t flinch or back down at his words, it wasn’t in my new found nature to submit to anyone, I guess it comes with being a Lycan. I sighed and said, “She simply explained what she did”.

His face suddenly showed interest, and he looked over at me, “Why then?” he asked, attempting to stare me down, but as I said, I don’t submit. “She said what she did wasn’t a memory spell, she was picking around in my head to figure me out more” I explained simply, but in some magical way, he got angrier.

“HOW DARE SHE!!” he screamed, throwing things around the room, I only stared at him, it was his tantrum to deal with. “She did it to try and help me understand who I am” I began, “If I know more about myself then I can adapt to this world better”.

“I DON’T CARE YOU STUPID BOY!!” he screamed, throwing a dagger that hugs on the wall at me, which I caught before it hit my face. I guess someone has anger issues, then he started throwing more things at me, like a book, chair, vase, more books, paper, a pencil, more books.

I managed to catch and avoid all of them, “Dude, you need to chill” I tried to say with panic in my voice. He only growled at me, which caused a faded yet calming voice to say quietly“kill him...” he demanded, but I fought the urge to tear him apart for treating me.

I shook my head then my wolf howled in agreement, “Come on, we’ll be in charge after, KILL HIM!!” I shook my head and ran behind the desk to avoid another chair. Then I felt the anger start to fight it’s way out, “NO, stop it!!” I demanded in my head, but he wouldn’t listen.

“I will make sure you don’t see Constance after this!!” Connor threatened. That threw any hope of me keeping control out the window, nice knowing you Connor.

I looked over at the mirror on the wall and saw my eyes change, then I felt numb, my wolf took over, but I didn’t shift oddly enough. Just stood straight and showed my fangs.

“IM GONNA TEAR YOU APART!!” my wolf screamed out at Connor, who looked suddenly scared. He dropped the chair he was about to throw and set it down, backing away slowly, realizing he just threatened a Lycan’s mate, probably one of the worst mistakes you could make.

“North, calm down-” he tried but I growled at him, my wolf was pissed. “North-” he tried again but my wolf simply cut him off, “Sorry man, North’s not here right now” Then I charged after him, ready to rip his throat out.

He ran across the room, looking terrified. “NO ONE TOUCHES MY MATE!” he yelled in pure anger at Connor. I grabbed him by the neck and threw him across the room, “SHE’S MINE!” he said pissed off. I guess I was too, I care so much about Constance. I’d kill if she was taken from me. But I would listen to reason beforehand.

Then suddenly the door opened and I heard Miah say, “What the hell is going on!!” she said looking around the room. Then I heard Conny say, “North, what are you-?” then I heard Klaus say, cutting her off, “That’s not North, stay back”. I heard every word, but my wolf just kept his eyes on Connor. He wanted him dead and he didn’t care how, just as long as It was by his hands. I then felt strong hands grab my own and pin them behind my back, holding me still. But I knew that wouldn’t last long, what the hell are they doing!!??

“Constance, calm him down!!” I heard Klaus demand from behind me, then I saw Miah helping Connor who was laying terrified on the floor, “DO IT NOW!” he yelled. I growled at him, trying to pull away. Then I felt warm hands on my face and my eyes focused on Constance who stood in front of me.

“North? I’m right here, look at me, all eyes on me” she said in a calm tone, she ran her hands through my hair, calming me. “North, come back to me” she begged. I felt the soul of my wolf weaken as he gave me back control. I let out a breath of air and then stubbled, I felt Klaus let go of my arms.

I dropped my hands to my side and turned to him, “Thanks” I said breathless, he nodded. I then turned to Conny and said taking her hand in mine, “I’m sorry I scared you” she smiled her warm smile and nodded hugging me.

“I’m just glad to have my mate back” I chuckled lightly, then I looked over at Connor and said, “Look, I’m sorry, but you brought that on yourself man” I glared, he snarled. Then Miah asked walking over and placing a hand on my shoulder.

“What do you mean?” I sighed and said, “Psychopath other there, started throwing things at me, screaming about how stupid I was-” I watched as Connor glared intensely at me. “So that made you mad?” Klaus questioned walking up to join the conversation.

I shook my head and said looking at my mate, “No....He...Threatened her” I said, trying to keep my wolf at bay. Mia gasped and then said stomping over to Connor, “YOU SON OF A BITCH! You know Werewolf law, you cannot threaten another shifter mate!!” she screamed.

“I just got angry!!!” he countered her claim throwing his hands up, “No No No, Alpha’s don’t get to get mad and threaten their own member’s soul mate!!” Klaus then joined In, great. “I keep telling you Miah, he’s a pathetic excuse for an Alpha!“, they cornered him.

I then felt Conny’s arms wrap around me, leaning her head on my shoulder gently, “You tried to kill him to protect me?” she asked in a quiet voice, “Yeah, sorry about that” I said nervously. She laughed slightly and shook her head,

“I think it’s sweet”

It then left me to wonder why Connor hated me so much.

Why did he want to kill me?
