Chapter 98 

Lilac felt very sluggish and her movement was very slow, while her mind was clouded. She was not sure what to think about, but she really felt not like herself. She wanted to vomit after she drank the water, thus she pressed her tongue to the ceiling of her mouth, to hold back the urge. 

“Are you okay?” Concern in Hunter’s voice when he saw how Lilac was. “I am going to call the healer,” he growled and then went straight to the door and ordered a guard to call the healer to come and informed her that Lilac had regained her consciousness. 

However, when he returned to her side, Lilac had bent her b*dy to the edge of the bed and then vomited to the floor. She emptied her stomach and this set Hunter in alarm. 

“No… don’t look…” Lilac felt self awareness when Hunter came to her and held her hair for her, so she wouldn’t d*rty it, but she didn’t want him to see her like this. She didn’t want him to resent her after this. 

Luna Jasmine always said that a woman should be gracious and beautiful, this kind of thing was not acceptable for your mate to see.

“Let’s do the check up in the room next to this,” Hunter said in impassive voice. He then proceeded to carry Lilac out of the room to the next one and let the two maids to clean the main bedroom.

The healer followed them and then when Hunter laid her down on the bed, the healer came to Lilac’s side and checked on her. She was quiet for a while and Hunter busied himself to take care of his mate. He wiped her mouth with wet towel that a maid brought for him and ordered someone to bring a bowl of porridge so Lilac could eat, of course, he discussed this with the healer to, whether or not Lilac could eat it 

“She will be fine, alpha. You don’t need to worry.” The healer reassured the alpha and told him what he should pay close attention to and what he had to expect. “She will need to stay in bed for at least a week, after that she will be fine.” 

Hunter took a mental note when he listened to the healer and make sure everything would be smooth for Lilac. 

After speaking to the alpha, the healer went to talk with Lilac. “You can’t move around and make a ruckus, okay? You need to rest and gain your strength back, only then you can fully heal, Lilac.” 

However, suddenly the alpha gave the healer a gentle warning about Lilac’s current status. She shouldn’t call her by her name casually. She must have seen the mark on her n*eck, there was no way she would miss it.

Lilac wanted to protest, she felt embarrassed because Hunter was being very blunt, but she didn’t want to confront him with the healer presence, because it was not the right thing to do. In the end of the day, Lilac was still listening to what luna Jasmine had taught her. 

Her lesson had run too deep into her veins and she couldn’t shake it off this feeling and followed luna Jasmine’s tutelage unconsciously, even when she was no longer able to influence her in any way. After that, the healer left the two of them alone, that was when Lilac voiced out her concern. 

“Don’t you think it is too fast to tell the pack member about this?” Lilac asked, she looked lethargic and sleepy, it seemed, it still not occurred to her about what had transpired. Her back was already healed and she could lay down again now. 

“You don’t need to worry about it. I will handle everything, all you need to focus on is to heal,” Hunter said extremely gentle with her and then k*ssed her l*ps, as he hugged her to sleep. “Sleep, little one.” 

A week after this, they would meet with Aiden. It would be an interesting meeting after such a long time. and Hunter was really looking forward into it.
