Beta Xavier Costa.
Chapter 25

Eleanor Amato - POV

After I managed to stuff all my suitcases and boxes inside the closet, I opened the first one, took out my toiletries and my pajamas, and walked out of the closet to see Xavier had already settled on his bed with his phone. I made my way to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. Well. Just like I imagined, the bathroom was huge, and it had a bathtub, my favorite.

After taking a warm shower, I dried my hair, and wore the singlet and shorts, and walked out of the bathroom.

Xavier briefly looked up at me before he focused back on his phone. After applying all my creams and moisturizer, I walked to the other side of the bed, and when I was about to take a seat, I heard his annoying voice again. “What are you doing?”

“I am going to sleep,” I answered, and he shook his head.

“You are not sleeping on the same bed as me,” he said, and this made me turn around to look at him. “You can take the floor,” he suggested.

“I am not your dog to sleep on the floor, Xavier.”

“And I don't want you sleeping on my bed.” he asserted. Both of us locked our eyes into a staring contest, when he finally looked away, a smirk formed on my face. I always win in this. I quickly climbed onto the bed and got under the cover.

“You are not going to listen to me, ah?” he asked me, but I didn't reply, instead, I turned around to face away from him. I felt the bed move before he walked into the closet and walked back in with a blanket and a couple of pillows.

“I didn't know you would sacrifice your bed for me,” I said while placing my hand on my heart.

“In your dreams,” he said and got back into the bed, pushed the blanket towards me, and placed the pillows to create a barrier before he used his blanket to cover himself. “Now I don't want you rolling and coming to my side,” he warned me while I tried my best to suppress the smile that was threatening to form.

“I don't think the pillows are necessary, Xavier. I don't roll.” I told him, he shook his head, turned to his side, and laid down on the bed.

“I know you are lying,” he mumbled before he turned off the lamp next to him.

I know I should have grown the balls to tell my mother that I found my second chance mate and that I have no intention of accepting her, but just the thought of her fury made me want to run to the hills. Even though I despised the idea of having Eleanor in my room, I knew I had no say in this matter.

“Urgh! They were supposed to come back after two months, not right now!” I mumbled and looked down at my phone again, rereading the message that I got from my mom a few hours ago.

Mom- We have already boarded the jet, and we will be home tomorrow morning. See you soon, honey.

I looked up to see the bathroom door open, and Eleanor walked out, wearing minimal clothes. Your seduction is not going to work with me. I quickly looked away from her and continued reading my emails. Once she was done with her nightly routine, she walked toward the bed, and this made my heart start to race. sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“What are you doing?” I asked her. After a heated conversation between the two of us, I finally gave up and placed a lot of pillows between us and fell asleep. I seriously don't want to touch her at all. I thought before I fell asleep.

Something kept tickling my nose whenever I inhaled, and this made me wake up, I looked down to see that it was hair. But what repulsed me was her hair. I knew she would not listen. I looked down to see that she perfectly fits into my body, just like… Stop it, Xavier! you hate her. I yelled at myself.

I removed my hand from her waist and I was about to wake her up and yell at her for crossing the border when I realized that I was quite far away from my side. I looked back to see the pillows messed up.

“You are the person who has crossed the border, idiot.” Kyle chimed in while laughing, and this annoyed me to the maximum.

“Would you shut up?” I growled before I quickly moved away from her, and got up from the bed. I looked back again to see that she was still sound asleep, so I made my way to the washroom to take a shower.

I woke up when the rays of sunlight hit my face, and I checked my phone to see that it was seven am. I got up from the bed stretched my muscles, and looked to my left to see that Xavier had already left. I walked to the bathroom, and after taking a quick shower, I changed into something more appropriate since I might have to meet Xavier’s parents today. I wore a purple sundress, did my hair in a ponytail, and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

I filled a mug of coffee and sat on the table to drink it before I began making breakfast. Would his parents come for breakfast?

“Let's mind link Xavier and ask,” Erica suggested, and I nodded my head. It was quite difficult to mind-link that asshole, but after a few tries, I managed to get through.

“Xavier, would your parents be here for breakfast?”

“Yes, and don't worry about that, I have already told the kitchen to send the food,” he said before he cut the link off. Even though the chefs prepared excellent food, I thought that they might want to eat some comfort food, so I mind-linked the kitchen and told them not to bring breakfast before I began making it myself.
