I immediately made my way back to the pack house, and I ran upstairs, when I reached the floor where my office was, I slowed down and walked soundlessly. The closer I got to Beta Alan’s room, the faster my heart was racing. When I stopped right in front of his office, I closed my eyes and concentrated on my senses. There was a pin-drop silence inside the room, and the smell of sea salt and pineapples was dull.

“Well, I think he is not inside the room,” Jane said in a dejected

tone.

“Look who’s back after abandoning their best friend in a critical state.” I moved, and she snorted at my comment.

“You are being irrational here, Sarah. Why do you always try to push…”

“Okay, that’s enough, I don’t want us to argue over this issue anymore.” I interrupted her, and then I concentrated on the door again. I looked at either side of the hallway to make sure that it was empty before I slowly opened the door and entered his room. The office was messy with papers placed on all the tables that were in the room, so without wasting any more time, I began to search for that letter that Beta Alan got.

Argh! Where the hell did he keep it?

“Maybe, he did not keep the letter here at all,” Jane suggested, and that is when something dawned on me. He must have sensed my presence in the woods, and he must have been anticipating me in his office.

“I guess we will have to get out of here,” I said and placed everything where it was and silently exited the office, and made my way to my office. A few minutes later, I heard his room door open and close.

“Come in,” I yelled, and soon the door opened to reveal Noah. His facial expression looked frightened, and his eyes roamed from the top to the bottom of my body, which greatly confused me.

“Noah, what’s wrong?” I asked him, got up from my chair, and made my way toward him.

“Nothing, Sarah. I just came here to inform you about something important,” he said, and I nodded my head for him to go on. “Um, since we have told everyone that we are getting married soon. I think it would be appropriate for the both of us to stay at my place,” he suggested. My heart started to race again, but I know that he doesn’t mean any harm. If we want others to believe our act, then I think making a few sacrifices along the way is bound to happen.

“I think that is a great idea. But, I don’t think that the room you are staying in would accommodate the both of us.” I said, and he walked closer to me till we were both an inch apart and took my right hand in his and placed a silver key on it.

“I asked Alpha Blaze if we could move into the house that is close to the forest, and he agreed.” this made a smile break out, and I wrapped my hands around Noah’s neck and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek while his hands immediately snaked around my waist. Even though I am grateful to have got a room at the pack house, I would always prefer a house of my

“So, when are we moving out,” I asked him when I pulled away.

“If he said that, then who am I to throw away such an opportunity, right,” I said and made my way to my desk, after turning off all the electronic devices, I took my phone and handbag and grabbed Noah’s hand in mine, and left the office room.

“Is that the last box?” Noah asked me while carrying a brown cardboard box, I nodded my head and took my last suitcase, and closed the door behind me before we left the pack house. Since the cabin that we got was not far from the pack house, we decided to walk there. The weather today was windy and cloudy, which was perfect for a hot cup of coffee, and that is the first thing that I will be doing when I go to the cabin. We walked pasted beta Alan’s house and took a small forest lane that had small lanterns hanging on tree branches at regular intervals.

“Yes, they are solar-powered, so there is no need for us to manually turn them on.” we went passed the training grounds and walked deeper into the forest and the small pebbled path widened, and we soon came to a stop in front of a cozy- looking cabin.

“Wow, this looks beautiful,” I said in awe and made my way closer to the door, which was left wide open. The moment we entered the cabin, we come across a living room, and a hallway to the right, at the end of it, there was a fully equipped open kitchen with a sliding door that opened to the forest. There were two doors on either side of the hallway, and when I opened the door to the left, it revealed an office, and the second door revealed a bedroom.

“Noah!” I yelled, and he soon emerged from the kitchen.

“Where is my room?”
