Chapter Twenty-five

(Darian POV)

I know Aurora has been here for a few days and I still haven’t made the time for us to be together. I just been so nerves having her around when I’m having problems keeping control of Revon. There would be days that I would have blackouts and not know what happened in those times, but to find out later others would have seen me. My wolf has been taking over me as often as he can and I’m not feeling too safe with him being around Aurora. It took a while, but I decided that we will be having dinner together tonight to let her know the truth between her and I. That wolf better behave himself or I’ll make him regret it. I need to get a hold of Sinan so he can get Aurora ready to have dinner with me tonight. When we finally met then I was able to let her all about the truth of her real mother and me being her real father, but I can tell she’s still not sold on the story. So, I guess I’m going to need to tell her the story on how her mom and I met.

Past

When my twin brother Darius and I turned nineteen that’s when our father told us that he would make my brother next in line to be King. Usually with twins they both would rule together, but since my brother and I don’t get along my father decided to only have the one of us do the job. I then decided that I was going to do a little traveling to find my own place in this world that wouldn’t include my twin in it. I wander around in many states looking for any signs to help me to find where I might belong. I’m no longer in line to be king nor would I want to remain there to be my brother’s Beta just to live my life as his shadow. I wanted to make my own path and my own mark on this earth. It was later in the day when I was driving by this café and decided I was going to stop in so I could get a bit to eat. As I get inside the place a young blonde hair girl that looked to be about late teens comes over to me.

“Hi, welcome to the Moonlight Café. My name is Sarah, how many will be dinning today?”

“Just me.”

“No girlfriend or wife will be joining you this evening?”

“No! Just me.”

Oh, great she’s hitting on me or I’m hoping that I’m reading too much into what she’s saying to me.

“Would you like a booth or a table?”

“A booth.”

“Please come this way.”

She directed me to my booth as she walked behind me. As I peeked behind me, I realized that she was checking me out. I sit down as she is handing me a menu.

“Would you like you like to start off with a drink or my phone number?”

I just looked at her with a glare on my face hoping that she’ll get the hint to back off, but I think she is clueless as she looks to me with a smile on her face. She’s a human girl and wouldn’t understand that I’m waiting for my one true mate to be with, and I would never be with another other than her, my soulmate. “Just coffee.”

She walked away I believe to be disappointed that I didn’t want her number, but I’m also hoping that she finally got the hint. I then looked over the menu to see if there was anything that might interest me, and I didn’t realize that someone walked over to me until I realized that a coffee was set next to me.

“Did you decide what you would like sir?”

Wow, she better not offers me her number again.

“I would like a porter house steak, baked potato, and some green beans. Make sure the steak is rare.”

“Very good, would you like any dessert today? I would suggest that the French silk pie is genuinely nice here.”

Wow, what is it with this girl?

’Wait you idiot, don’t you smell that?”

‘Smell what Revon?’

‘That this female is not the same girl. I also believe this female is our mate.’

‘What are you talking about?’

‘Smell the air dumb-ass!’

I started to sniff the air to find that it smelled of apple cinnamon. I looked up to see the most beautiful female I have ever seen in my life. She had wavy dark brown hair, the brightest blue eyes, and a hot body to go with it all.

“I’m sorry, but may I ask for your name angel?”

“It’s Aiden.”

“And what’s your wolf’s name?”

She looked shocked that I would ask for her wolf’s name out in a human populate place.

“Um, Bella.”

Her wolf’s name would have stood for beautiful as she is.

“My name is Darian and my wolf’s name is Revon. Sorry, my wolf was having a fit if I didn’t tell you or ask you for your wolf’s name. What time are you getting off work? I think it’s important that we discuss about us being mates.”

“Yes, I believe we should, but I won’t be getting off until around 8 tonight.”

“I’ll wait for you, my angel.”

“Alright, let me go get your food then.”

“Yes, but also bring me a piece of that French silk pie, please my angel.”

“Sure thing.”

She smiles as she walks away. After I finished my meal and paid for it. I went outside to my car to wait for her to get off work. I didn’t have to wait too long but I really didn’t care if I had to wait all day to be with her. Not long after 8 she walked out wearing regular clothes and talking on the phone with someone.

(Aiden POV)

My day started out like any other day. I got up to get ready for work and I am even surprised that my father even let me do it. My father is the Beta of the River stone pack, and my mate will be the next Beta of the pack. I hurry up to get ready for work because my brother will be dropping me off today and Jasper doesn’t like to have to wait for anyone. He’ll be dropping me off as he heads out for his own job working as a CEO at one of the packs businesses. When I got to the Moonlight Café, it was like a mad house. I can tell that I needed to get in there right away to help them out. I just hope I don’t run into Sarah, but no such luck in that.

“Wow Aiden, it’s about time you get here.”

“What are you talking about? My shift doesn’t even start for another hour, but I can always ask Steve if they need me now.”

“Whatever.”

She stomped away like the spoiled rich brat that she is. I’m not even sure why she is working here besides knowing that a lot of single rich men like eating here. I went over to talk to Steve to see if he would like me to start now.

“OMG Aiden, you’re my hero. I can always count on you to save me in times like this.”

“You always know that I’m happy to help you.”

I hurried to get the clock in to start helping with cleaning up and serving tables. It didn’t take long for things to be caught up and calm down for a while. After the dinner rush seemed to calm down around 6. I was wiping some of the tables down when Sarah came up to me.

“Hey Aiden, can you take this coffee over to that guy at table 16.”

“Isn’t that table in your area?”

“Well yeah, but he’s gay and very rude to me.”

“Fine, I’ll do it than.”

She most likely hit him and was turned down. She was never good about taking rejection from any guy that she found attractive and looked to be extraordinarily rich. I walked over to the guy with his coffee as I started to smell cedar and spices coming from this person. Was this guy my mate or was I just dreaming that I’m smelling it.

‘Aiden, he’s, our mate.’

‘Are you sure Bella?’

‘Well yeah, just smell that and tell me that you’re not sure as well.’

Oh great, now I’m very nerves being around this guy that Sarah say he’s gay and rude. At first, he did seem to be very cold and distant to me until he looked up to me. I just felt my heart stop as I looked into his silverish blue eyes. He was so handsome with the short dark brown hair, trimmed beard, and mustache, wearing a three-piece suit and a body any women would die to get their hands onto.

“I’m sorry, but may I ask for your name angel?”

“It’s Aiden.”

“And what’s your wolf’s name?”

I’m surprised not only did he ask me a question like that in public but also with so many humans around.

’Um, Bella.”

“My name is Darian and my wolf’s name is Revon. Sorry, my wolf was having a fit if I didn’t tell you or ask you for your wolf’s name. What time are you getting off work? I think it’s important that we discuss about us being mates.”

“Yes, I believe we should, but I won’t be getting off until around 8 tonight.”

“I’ll wait for you, my angel.”

“Alright, let me go get your food then.”

After he finishes his meal and start walking out, he tells me that he’ll be waiting for me in his car until I get off work. I went back to finishing off my shift so I can be with my future mate. I realized that I was going to need to talk to Steve about giving him my two weeks’ notice. My father only gave me permission to work until I find my mate, but as I start to look for him, I run into a piss off spoiled brat instead.

“What’s up with you? Why do you look so upset?”

“I heard that guy talking to you, but you’re not going to get very far with mister sexy because he’s gay.”

Sadly, she’s human and wouldn’t understand anything about mates.

“So, what makes you think this guy is gay?”

“Easy, he turned me down and what straight guy would turn all this down.”

She uses her hands to point out her whole body to me as she then stomps away into another room. I just got off to finish my work so I could hurry up to be with my mate and talk to Steve about my two-week notice. I also needed to call my father to let him know what’s going on. Eight came around faster than I thought it would as I made the phone call to my father.

“Hi sweetheart, I was just about to call you. Your brother won’t be able to pick you up till a little after nine tonight.”

“Call him back and tell him that I won’t be needing a ride home tonight for I already have a ride.”

“Who’s driving you home sweetheart?”

“Well, my mate is driving me. I just met him tonight at work.”

“That’s great sweetheart. Now you can quit that job and work with your mate on taking over for me. Invite him here for a coffee and dessert that your mother will make for him.”

“Alright father, I’ll ask him if that will be alright with him. Don’t worry I already gave Steve my two-week notice even though he isn’t happy about it at all.”

I was walking out of the café hanging up the phone with my father when I noticed that Darian was waiting for me sitting in a 1977 Aston martin V8 vantage. That cost of that vehicle can put someone into dept owning, so who is this man that is my mate. I don’t know anything about him and I’m going to need to know soon. When I got closer to the car that’s when he got out to greet me with a kiss on the cheek.

“Are you ready to leave my angel?”

“Yes, but my father would like for us to stop at his place for coffee so he can meet you,”

He wrapped his arms around me kissing my forehead.

“Calm down my angel, I was going to have to meet your parents sooner or later. It’s just going to be the sooner and not later.”
