Chapter six

(Alexander POV)

It’s been a few days since my father left to check on the packs in our kingdom and I’ve been in charge. It’s going smoothly but I’ve been training for this since I was 12 years old. As I was finishing up the last of the paperwork for the day when I start thinking about Aurora. She must be here by now getting settled into her new room. I made sure the room was done up just for her liking. I had help from Seb’s mate Autumn to find out what Aurora likes. Seb and Autumn met each other during the time we were visiting some packs like my father is doing right now. Autumn is the daughter of the Beta from White stone pack, and he was more than thrilled to find out his daughter mate is a royal Beta. It was an instant connection between them both and after that they were inseparable. They couldn’t even keep their hands off each other and every time I see them together just made me want to be with Aurora. I’m hoping while she is here for a month that I can get her to understand that we’re mates, and I need to be with her. I don’t think I can let her leave now that she is here.

‘Alex, you better make sure out mate don’t leave.’

‘I’m doing the best I can Hunter. I can’t force her to stay here, but I’ll do all that I can to get her to see that we’re her mate. Have you been able to get a hold of Kamaria?’

‘Well right now I’m not able to reach her. I’m not sure why she is being quiet not only form me but also to Aurora herself.’

‘Does Aurora know what’s going on?’

‘According to Kamaria, she feels Aurora has a feeling that there is something between you and her but isn’t a 100% sure.’

Good maybe this will be easier to convince her what we are to each other. I was on the last paperwork that was all the pack finance of all their business records. As I was signing the last paper that’s when the door slammed open.

“What the hell are you doing Alex?”

“I’m going over the packs paperwork and as I recall is me doing my job.”

“Why are you so concern about me finding a mate when you should be more concern looking for yours.”

“Because you’re my sister and I want you to find your mate to be happy. So, am I wrong to want to see my favorite sister happy?”

“Well, alright but what about Aurora? Why are you wrapped up about MY friend?”

“AURORA IS MINE!”

Oh shit, did I just say that out loud? Rania looks like she was in shock at what I just said to her. Great, what did I just do? I know my sister couldn’t keep a secret if her life depended on it. She is looking at me with a strange look on her face makes me wonder what she’s thinking right now.

“OMG! Alex, are you telling me that Aurora is your true mate and my soon-to-be sister-in-law? How long did you know this? Wait, is that why you had that room done up last month? How did you know what she liked? Wait, did you have Autumn find out for you? Hey, why did you tell her already and not me your only sister.”

“Raina, will you please stop and let me say something. Yes, that’s why I had the room done up the way Aurora will like it. Autumn does know about her being my mate and no I didn’t tell her, but I did tell Seb about Aurora. I’ll only told him because he wouldn’t leave me alone until I told him why I look so sad every time him and Autumn were together.”

She stood there taking in everything that I had just told her. She then looked at the clock on the wall and started to panic about something.

“Oh, shoot I told Aurora that I won’t be long before I get back to her for us to get ready for dinner. So, I need to get back to her soon.”

“Raina?”

“What Alex?”

“Don’t you dare tell Aurora about her and I being mates?”

“Alright Alex, I won’ tell her but I really think you tell her and tell her soon. I really think she has feelings for you but is too scared to say something.”

“We’ll see what tonight will bring to us. Now go be with Aurora and get her ready for dinner.”

“Wait, does mom and dad know about you and Aurora?”

“No, and father has been trying to get me together with Kimberly because of her father being the Alpha of the third strongest pack in our kingdom and a close friend of his. I’m really not sure how he’ll react to Aurora being in his mind a lower rank wolf.”

“Don’t worry Alex cause we’re going to figure this out. There is no way I’m going to put up with the idea of Kimberly being my sister-in-law. Also, I don’t like how she acts like a dog in heat every time she’s around you.

I couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the dog in heat remark because it was sadly too true. I don’t care what my father has to say about Aurora because there is no way in hell that I’ll ever reject her as my mate. I don’t care what he does to me.

(Aurora POV)

I’m so in love with this bathtub. I can’t believe all these bath oils and body wash that were all my favorites that were here for me to use. Like milk and honey that was so hard for me to find at any of the stores I usually go to. It must have been Raina who did this for me because besides her only Autumn knew the things that I like. Wow, how long have I been in this tub just to lose track of the time. I need to get out and get ready for dinner. I hurried to get ready before Raina came to get me. I dried it off and put on a white lace dress and since I didn’t wash my hair, I decided to put it up in a loose bun. I put only a little make up on and lip gloss. I then put my charm bracelet and necklace on just as Raina walked into the room.

“Oh wow, you look so beautiful in that dress. Alex is going to…. well let’s get going because you know how Alex hates to wait.”

“I was just surprised that it was the dress I was looking at the last time we were at the mall.”

Before Rania could even react to what I just said I hear screeching coming from behind me that sounded familiar and when I looked behind just to see a short blonde girl with light blue eyes running toward me.

“OMG, OMG Aurora, your finally here.”

“Hi Autumn.”

“Aurora, I’m so happy that you’re finally here. Promise me that you’ll never leave here.”

What does she mean by that, about me never leaving where? As I went to go ask her about it, I noticed Raina jabbing at her to be quiet, but quiet about what?

“Ow, why did you do that Raina?”

“We need to get going Autumn. They’re probable waiting for us and you know men don’t like to wait to eat.”

“Oh yeah, you’re right. Seb can get really grumpy if he gets hungry and so can Alex.”

Alex is going to be there, well duh he’ll be there this is his home.

“Alright, let’s get going before my brother tearing down the castle looking for us.”

We all started laughing as we walked toward the dining room where the guys were waiting for us to finally show up. Lucky the room wasn’t too far from my room, so it didn’t take too long to get there as we rush to the room. We got to the room as Alex was about ready to get up from his chair before looking over to us.

“What took you guys so long. I thought Alex was about to run on a rampage any minute now.” Dani sat there laughing as Alex gave him a death glare.

“If I were you Dani boy, I would keep quiet.” Seb is trying to get Dani to listen.

“Well, we’re here now so let’s start eating.”

Raina then stuck her tongue out at Alex as he growls toward her. I sat in the chair next to Raina. Alex sat at the head of the table with Seb on his right and Dani on his left side. The room was so large, beautiful, and elegant in every way. The room was full of natural wood, two large windows, and a large wooden table in the middle that seated up to fourteen people. I love all the beautiful carvings into all the wood in this room, it was elegant and comfortable. I sat getting this wonderful smell of cinnamon and a campfire. It’s coming from Alex himself, does that mean that he is my mate. That can be the only reason this smell is coming from him, right?

‘Kamaria? Are you there or are you still not talking to me for some reason?’

Nothing why is my wolf choosing now to keep quiet from me. I watch Autumn as she walks over to her mate Seb. He kissed her on the lips as she sat next to him, and I can see just how happy they are together. I looked over to Alex and found him staring at me with so many different emotions like sadness, longing, and something I’m not too sure of but I want to say love. I’m reading too much in nothing. Things got quiet as the servers started to bring the soup out to us. The soup was my favorite cheddar soup. After the soup was grilled honey salmon with lightly salted vegetables and creamy hair pasta. If that wasn’t a lot, we also had strawberry mouse in a cake like bowl. I can’t believe the meal that was being served. I was like they knew all my favorite foods and when I looked at Alex, he had a smirk on his face knowing I was enjoying everything.
